Good food, especially lunch, and outside in the sunshine when the weather is nice. A nice stopover if you like touring.

A cozy restaurant where we ended up because we were staying at a nearby B&B. We chose the carpaccio XL. Besides being delicious, it offered good value for money and was actually quite special because of its actual XL size. I had a good laugh while it was being served. This restaurant and the carpaccio XL are highly recommended.

After a few good experiences, now a much worse one: the staff were friendly, but they just said "Hi!" upon entry. Then there were flies on the windows, not just a few, really a lot of flies..... The four of us swatted those filthy things, 13 of them. Sitting outside is not an option: people are smoking freely so that you can smell the smoke even inside, yuck. None of this is really hygienic or pleasant. The waiting time between dinner courses is quite long. The food is of good quality, though. Although we had asked for well-done steak, it was still rare.... The ice cream was indeed made of ice; apparently, it came from a deep-frozen fridge. The music is also obtrusively loud this time. I had expected it all to be better.

The food is very good, nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the service is inconsistent and subpar. We've been here several times, and our experiences vary widely. The first time, with eight people, we had to wait over an hour for each dish, which was really too long. Another time, there were three of us, and then it went extremely fast: barely any time between dishes, and within an hour we were out again. The last time, we wanted to have lunch around 1:30 PM, but upon arrival, we were immediately told there was no room. They didn't offer any assistance, and we couldn't wait for a table to become available. It's a shame, because the quality of the food is good, but the service makes the overall experience inconsistent.

We had a nice meal, but they are terribly unfriendly to children there. It doesn't feel like children are welcome here. Perhaps it would be a good idea to invest a bit more in something where the kids can entertain themselves.

Had a delicious carpaccio as a starter and a tournedos with picanha as a main course.

Delicious food, very friendly service. The courses came out very quickly, one after the other. That was a shame. Three courses in 45 minutes, but that was the only downside. Dogs were welcome and were given water immediately.

I eat here at least three times a month, always giving 5 stars for everything! The food, in particular, was always excellent. I had lunch here again today, but it was my last time for a while. The portions had suddenly noticeably halved compared to last week. To be honest, this turned out to be completely untrue. Luckily, I took photos of the previous delicious and enjoyable moments during the meal. Of course, it was very busy today, but I blame the owners for not acknowledging that the portions had been tampered with. Of course, they offered us a free drink... which we didn't accept, because that's not what we're interested in. We also left a good tip. The wait staff can certainly do something about it! What did shock me was that many women, including myself, reported that the toilet paper was empty! Each time, we were thanked for reporting it, but nothing was done about it...at least not within the hour we were there. It's a shame, very disappointing...simply because they said nothing had changed with the portions! Luckily we still have the pictures 😉

I popped in for a bite to eat and a drink without a reservation and was just able to get in. A tip is, if you're going with several people, it's best to make a reservation. I definitely enjoyed the food.

We had a lovely meal here with a group. Unfortunately, the section we were in didn't have a view of the water. Parking is available around the corner, and I believe it's free. Service was quick and the food was excellent. No wow factor, but the price-quality ratio was excellent!

We had made a reservation for Sunday, June 22, 2025. We ate outside on the terrace. And there was smoking there and unfortunately I am very allergic to tobacco smoke. We were given every cooperation to sit inside and enjoy the delicious food. The door was even closed when cigarette smoke came in with a gust of wind. All praise for the restaurant employee. Thanks again. You are a top restaurant for us.

Spareribs burnt and tough, panacotta doesn't taste like anything, looks more like a good cold. A cup of coffee tastes like second-hand. Definitely not a second time. Unfortunately, the family decided to celebrate another birthday this year (2025). And this time again extremely bad. As a starter, we had pork belly, you expect it to be nice and crispy, but it looked like a slab of whale blubber. As a main course, the “sticky fingers”, not much better. Meat from the spare ribs, at least according to the waitress. Just 6 pieces of meat and a lot of blablablabla from a piping bag. Also a lot of grease, just nasty. My wife returned it asking if it could be fried until crispy, but with little success, it looked like it had just been put in the microwave for a while. Neither of us ate it. Too dirty for words, almost €80 in total, which could have gone straight into the rubbish bin. They didn't understand. We will drive to Nieuwveen, “eat at Peter's”, he understands. Good plate of food, no fiddling with piping bags and tweezers, good meat.

Beautiful terrace with a view over the river. Beautiful decoration and nice staff. Fish board for 2 people is definitely recommended. Venison steak is very tasty, but only in season. If you like chocolate, I would have the lion for dessert.

This wasn't good! Once but never again. The restaurant was recommended to us but it was all disappointing. Looks nicely prepared, but the flavors are not right. And they can't do much about the running and crying children, but of course it doesn't increase the atmosphere either.
