This food is consistently delicious! A real treat. I've gotten food at least 25 times already. The service has improved since then. They now have a card machine. The atmosphere is usually a bit stressed and (possibly because of that) not always very friendly. I just try to look past that.

Ordered 4 roti rolls. They were delicious and were delivered warm after 30 minutes. Simply top-notch!

The food at Aarti Roti is delicious, and the meat is exceptionally tender every time. I have ordered takeout from here several times now and have never been disappointed. It is somewhat confusing that you are allowed to sit inside, but you are not allowed to eat your food there. Fortunately, that does not detract from the quality: I will absolutely come back here for the food.

They offer non comestible food. They send us burned (black color) chicken wings, also they send sauce in the small bags . I will made a complain to ACM. Do not eat from them . Not healthy, check photos.

Yesterday, my girlfriend and I picked up a veggie mix roti roll and a hot chicken barra. The chicken was tender and the roti roll was well-filled and very tasty. The food was ready quickly and still nice and hot when we got home. Friendly staff. We will definitely visit again!

It is true that delivery times can be on the long side (I haven't personally experienced waiting more than an hour and a half), but the food is more than worth it. Incredibly flavorful food and good portions! I'm a fan :)

This review is about the branch in Hilversum. Not only did I, like many others, wait 2.5 hours for my food, but I was also asked to wait outside so the delivery driver could stay by his car. When I came downstairs, he was nowhere to be seen, and I stood waiting for him for another 20 minutes. When I immediately indicated that this was unacceptable and that I wanted compensation, I was brushed off. The next day I called again and was treated downright rudely. "Many of our customers wait 2 hours and we cannot compensate them all." Maybe you should take a look at yourself and organize everything better. No wonder they disabled reviews on their site, yet still have positive reviews claiming that their delivery time is good. They do have tasty food, but it doesn't get warm and certainly leaves a sour aftertaste.

Ordered delicious roti (lamb and aubergine) & received a generous portion, only 15 minutes late. We feared the worst with the reviews, but certainly no regrets.

Ordered food online. When you arrive, it turns out to take much longer than the ordered time. What disappointed me most: how unfriendly and rude the staff is. Furthermore, I am from The Hague and know how roti should taste. Not like what I was told here. Never coming here again. What a disaster.

I came here to order food with my girlfriend, and I stood quietly in the shop looking at what I wanted. Eventually, I chose a dish priced at 19 euros on the menu, and my girlfriend took a different dish for 14.50. I ordered 3 spekkoek (Indonesian layer cake) on the side, 7 euros and 50 cents, and 1 bakas banan (banana cake) with peanut sauce, 2 euros and 50 cents, and 3 drinks at 2 euros and 50 each. That comes to 51 euros. The gentleman says 56 euros. I thought, fine, I'm curious where those extra 5 euros in costs come from, so I paid by card. I received a very strange receipt with 1 item: total price 56 euros. An unspecified receipt, as is required. So I said to him: do you have a normal receipt for me? The gentleman walked to the cash register and after fumbling for 5 minutes, he said: yes, then it will be more expensive. I said that surely isn't possible, because then he would enter it via Thuisbezorgd. I said: I am here in the shop, not on Thuisbezorgd. Next, he started fumbling around, and I realized it right from the start. This is pure fraud. So I confronted him about it and said: let’s do the math together, friend, because those amounts don't add up at all. The man got super angry and started shouting; it was ridiculous. My simple question is: why would you scam a customer? I spoke to the police and they ruled completely in my favor. They will now keep a close eye on the case.

Absolutely fantastic if you want personal service and a small, yet atmospheric meal. Meals are truly authentically Surinamese. Delicious.

A very bad experience with Restaurant Aarti. The food we received was clearly spoiled. The sauce smelled and tasted extremely sour. When we reported this, the owner himself came by and claimed that the sauce "should taste like this" because it contained vinegar. He clearly stated that if the sauce was sour again, we would get our money back. To verify this, a delivery driver even came by later with a new container of sauce so we could compare. Together with colleagues, we smelled and tasted both sauces. The new sauce was simply perfect and not at all sour like the first one. This made it clear to us that the sauce we received before was indeed spoiled. The worst part is that the owner is not keeping his word. He promised us a refund if the sauce wasn't good, but now he refuses to refund it. First, he pretends that serving spoiled food is normal, and then he also breaks a promise to customers. Not a pleasant experience with Aarti Roti in Hilversum. I ordered this morning and received an email confirmation with the delivery time. The order was suddenly canceled 45 minutes beforehand. The gentleman on the phone was barely audible and quite aggressive when I asked why my order had been canceled. I recommend taking a course on dealing with (dissatisfied) customers.

The chicken noodles are good, truly delicious. My family prefers the roti elsewhere, but the quality is quite good.

I wanted to order Thai food from Bangbangkok, which is right here, so I can't find an address anywhere. I already skipped this one because of the rude person behind the counter.

Delicious takeout food. It didn't take long, but we still got free prawn crackers because we had to wait a bit. That was very thoughtful. You have to pay with cash, but that's not a problem because there's an ATM 10 meters away.

I placed an order at 4 p.m. for 6 p.m., and by 6:30 p.m., they still hadn't arrived. When I called, the guy said they were busy, which was strange. You schedule your orders ahead of time. I don't understand all the fuss. I ordered roti through Thuisbezorgd. I ordered it on time, around 4:30 PM. I indicated that I wanted my order around 5:45 PM, and at 5:46 PM a very friendly delivery person was at the door. And that on a normally very busy Christmas Eve. Hats off! The food was, as usual, very tasty and there's nothing wrong with that either. Yes, it's true, €23 is expensive. But almost everywhere you order you pay €20 or more, right? Unless you go to a simple snack bar. In conclusion, if you want delicious Surinamese food at a great price-quality ratio, this is definitely recommended. If this is too expensive, go to a snack bar and order a frikandel!

Ordered a second time now. The portion size is unusually small. I ordered Nasi and chose the "larger" portion option. I received a 4cm-thick container with a minimal amount of rice. I ended up frying an egg to make a full, "filling meal." And all for €24!

Don't order from here! They scam you by letting you order and then calling them, "We can't deliver to you today." The order won't be canceled, and you won't get a refund. Roti chicken fillet with extra string beans, very tasty, delivered quickly, and the banana layer cake was surprisingly delicious. Very satisfied.

90 minutes for roti roll is insane! They do their own deliveries and blame it is too busy. If you can not handle that much order use a professional delivery service rather than trying it yourself

What a shitty place! I placed an order and got a call saying they live too far away. And now that I've read the other reviews, I'm glad they canceled the order. Oh, and if you still want to order, pay in advance and hope you get your food. If not, good luck getting your money back.

Ordered food through Uber Eats. Food delivered 2 hours late... Soup cold and sour... The sandwich was completely soggy and soaked. The bags and packaging were completely soaked... I also called to ask where my order was? I got a strange answer. Once, but never again!!

We decided to get Surinam food for a change and had never tried Aarti Roti. The shop is non-distinct and designed for takeout so no expectations here. Having enjoyed Surinam food before in Amsterdam South-East, we came with expectations. However, this was a disappointment as there was a strong Indian taste and feel to the food. Nasi and Bami dishes thrown together with excessive sauces so by the time it ends on your plate it is one saucy mess. The chicken ketjap was extremely salty and basically uneatable. None of what we ordered reminded us of those Surinam takeouts in Amsterdam South-East East. Unless you’re a fan of very salty foods, this is not recommended for fans of Surinam food

Order placed at 5:50 PM. Still no food at 9:00 PM. After calling several times, the delivery driver was on his way. The delivery driver called at 8:30 PM and was given number 26. I live at 269, so they wouldn't deliver. It's still a 4.5 km bike ride. The delivery driver called me to say a car would be there to deliver my food. I asked if it was still warm. Yes, it would definitely take another fifteen minutes, but it wasn't our fault you entered the wrong number. The screenshot sent clearly shows 269, not 26. Still no food. The people were terrible and unfriendly!

Just picked up my food and it was delicious. It was still nice and warm when I got home. And they have a very wide selection, more diverse than I'm used to from a Surinamese restaurant. I see the restaurant has a pretty poor rating, but most complaints are about the delivery. But if you pick it up yourself, everything is perfectly fine. I'll definitely be back.

Have ordered here before. Always great food! Hadn't had roti for a long time and was looking forward to the food. I call the restaurant because it took a while. It can happen, it's busy... Then I call and they tell me that they won't bring my order at all. Because it's too busy, I've already paid and I can hope that I'll get my money back. Ridiculous - I ordered at 6:15 PM and at 7:30 PM it still wasn't there. If I had never called, I would never have been called?! Communication was not as desired. I called this restaurant to ask if I could place an order and pay cash. The employee said that it was not possible to order by phone and that I had to order via Thuisbezorgd or Uber Eats if I wanted to pay cash. Fine, so I placed an order of €70 via Thuisbezorgd. Less than a minute later I received a call from the restaurant that I still had to pay online, otherwise they would not deliver the order. I explained that this was not an option for me – that was why I had called. The employee started talking about fake orders, but I suggested that I send a photo of my ID, or that they could collect the money first and then deliver the order. But instead of thinking along with me, I was spoken to in a rude and blunt manner. The employee literally told me to “fuck off” and order somewhere else. Unbelievable! This is not how you treat customers. In short: lousy service, disrespectful staff, and no customer focus at all. Do not order from here – there are plenty of better restaurants that respect their customers.

I ordered a nasi roasted chicken arrived completely burnt after having to wait 2 hours for my order. The egg in the saoto soup was not good, completely green brown. The pom had black pieces in it and did not smell good. I contacted them about this and they tried to make it right, I indicated that I wanted my money back and the man kept arguing that the rest was supposedly good, which is clearly not the case. It's a shame that this place is so self-defeating due to unfriendly staff and poor management, because the food is good. I have now had 3 problems with this case in 2 months. 1: Uber Eats had 2 promotions for Aarti Roti, namely 1+1 free and 20% discount on the total amount. When I wanted to pay for my order in cash at the door, the 20% discount was not shown on their own receipt, but it was on my Uber Eats invoice. As a result, the amount to be paid was incorrect, after which Aarti Roti indicated that I had already received enough discount and was told in a threatening tone that I had to pay the amount on their receipt. After a back-and-forth discussion with the very unfriendly manager over the telephone, I decided to give the remaining amount, while Uber Eats later indicated that this is a problem for Aarti Roti and not for the customer. 2: During another delivery it turned out that something was missing. Any other company would still deliver this, since you have already paid for this. At Aarti Roti they said that the manager would send us a phone call the next day to get our money back. This never happened. 3: Uber Eats recently offers the option of an Uber One subscription. This means you no longer pay delivery costs for orders over 18 euros per month within Uber Eats for 9 euros per month. However, Aarti Roti was of the opinion that I still had to pay the delivery costs in cash with my order, because otherwise their own administration was incorrect. When I kindly and politely declined, showing my own Uber invoice and trying to explain the concept of Uber One, the employee said they don't want my money anymore and insisted on taking the order back. It's a shame that they upset well-meaning people in such a way, but the goodwill factor with new opportunities is now gone.

An hour and fifteen minutes ago we called and they said it would take another 10 minutes. Just called again, it still takes 10 minutes because it is busy today. The roti rolls were practically empty. Shrimp sandwich was full of long beans and literally only 5 mini shrimps. Pom sandwich also half empty. And all the food was cold. Delivery man arrived on his scooter without a warming container. I called and got the manager on the phone. If you can't handle complaints and can't speak to people, then you shouldn't be a manager! Roti, baras, sandwiches... all really tasty. If we have less time we will pick it up. If we are absolutely not in a hurry, we have it delivered (and just don't keep looking at the clock). Sometimes it arrives quickly, sometimes it takes longer, but it always arrives, has never been delivered cold and is always worth the wait. Just tastes really good. Don't recognize reviews about bad or rude service at all. Always find them friendly.

Ordered via Uber Eats. Delivery time 20-40 minutes. Called more than an hour after ordering; it was on its way and would be there in 10 minutes. Quite a good estimate, since we were not asked for our name or address. The food was only delivered 40 minutes after we called. The Baka Bana was limp and tasteless and there was hardly any banana in it. The rest of the food was acceptable, but not comparable to the Surinamese restaurant we ordered from before. So this was once and never again. Not so much because of the food or the delivery time, but because of the misinformation and disinterest with which our call was dismissed.

Around 6:45 PM I receive a message from Uber that my meal is being prepared. When checking the Uber app, it appears that my address is included, but not the house number. Called Aarti Roti via button in Uber app. Order had arrived and indeed without house number. When I ask some critical questions about why this has not come to light sooner, I am referred to Uber. According to the gentleman, the order was only placed at 6:15 PM because that was what he had set. If I didn't agree, I had to contact Uber again (6:45 in the evening without having a telephone number). I should get my order in 45-60 minutes. Of course I wasn't happy about it. The gentleman then became very (customer) unfriendly / rude, including raising his voice. Addressed about his customer unfriendliness. The gentleman also thought I was customer unfriendly?? Discussion stopped. The gentleman said the food was coming. At the time of writing, it was 10 p.m. and I still haven't seen anyone from Aart Roti. At 8.30 pm I walked to the snack bar to get some fries. Understand that not everything can go well, but if you insult your customers so rudely and send them into the woods, then you really don't understand customer focus. Oh well, the food will be quite ok, but service orientation is hard to find. Pick your battles, but we won't order here anymore.
