I've rarely had such good chicken satay. The hamburger was also very tasty. And fresh fries, just the way they should be. And the prices are amazing, so it's still possible. Keep up the good work!

Well, fresh fries... I think the fries are delivered ready-made. Today I saw that the deli counter was full from left to right with pre-fried fries, even though no one was pre-frying them and no fryer was at 145 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, I doubt the product knowledge is there. I asked if they had mayonnaise on the fries: Yes, we do... No, they only have fries sauce. Then I tried to explain the difference between mayonnaise and fries sauce... The employee enthusiastically told me that their fries sauce contained 25% mayonnaise. I tried to explain to him that this percentage has to do with the amount of oil in the sauce, but he knew better... If you're going to start a snack bar with fresh products as an amateur, take a product knowledge course first so you know what you're talking about. This place reminds me of De Pieper in Hoogvliet and Spijkenisse: well-meaning amateurs with no product knowledge whatsoever.

The fries are delicious, and I have plenty of experience (I worked at Ladage). It's a real asset for a village, but I wouldn't be driving to Iris anytime soon. One container of fries sauce isn't enough; I know those little containers for storing herbs. The owner is quite bold... a new start like this with two competitors.

Toppers and not Chinese 😂 always eat well

I ordered from a campsite in Rockanje through Thuisbezorgd, and accidentally gave them the wrong delivery time. A quick phone call and it was sorted. They politely called a few minutes beforehand to let me know they were almost there and I could take the food at the barrier. Delicious, juicy Smashburgers, good buns (real hamburger buns, you don't see that much anymore). Good fries, a good amount for a reasonable price. These people understand the hospitality industry!

What a feast! The Angus burger was juicy and full of flavor, the fries crunched like a good story and there was even a fresh salad (bonus points!). No greasiness, but lots of satisfaction. Delivery? Super fast and still piping hot. Cafetaria Iris, you deliver star food to your home. See you soon!

Review: Cafeteria Iris – Rockanje Sometimes a long line at your regular snack bar leads to new adventures. That's how I ended up at Cafetaria Iris in Rockanje at a busy time - a business with a good reputation and visibly a lot of traffic. Behind the counter were two ladies who literally worked their butts off. Respect for that, that's for sure. My order: two fries with peanut sauce, a croquette sandwich and a frikadel. Take it home. What immediately stood out: fresh fries – that makes you happy as a snack lover. Extra plus: I was politely asked if I wanted salt on it. Small effort, big gesture. But then came the practice. Two portions of fries crammed into one bag? That's as convenient to eat as fries on a stormy beach. Moreover, the fries turned out to be a strange mix: one half perfectly golden brown, the other half overcooked and rock hard. How do you actually achieve that in one batch? The snacks themselves? Decent, nothing to complain about. Croquette and frikadel as you hope to get them – no surprises there. Conclusion: Iris has potential. The basis is good, the employees are visibly doing their best. But especially at busy times you have to keep paying attention to the details: fries quality, presentation, overview. Because a good name is built in quiet times, but earned during rush hour. Rating: 6.5 – with the prospect of improvement. I'll definitely give them another chance. Only please with two bags of fries.

Tasty fresh fries. You don't come across that often anymore. Often it is frozen fries, but they are still really nice and fresh. Friendly employees and a cozy place to eat your fresh fries. I saw that they also have freshly fried chicken, I'll try that next time. I will definitely come back again, even though I don't really live nearby.

Your fresh fries are really delicious, we had fresh chicken from the grill and it was so tender and deliciously seasoned, highly recommended.

Great food and what great service! They were almost closing but made time for us (5 people) to have a delicious meal on the terrace.

First I licked a soft ice cream. Tasty. At the end of the afternoon we ate a Schnitzel Special Menu. That was a surprise! Truly an excellent piece of meat, deliciously crispy fried with fried onions and peppers underneath and a fresh, very tasty salad with egg. This is Fine!

Delicious fries and fantastic home-made stew. Small point for improvement, but that applies to many snack bars in the Netherlands: fries, mayonnaise does not mean fries, fries sauce...

Vriendelijk personeel en snel geholpen. Kapsalon wad netjes geprijsd en smaakte goed. Je kon lekker op het terras zitten voor de tent in de zon.
