I had rijsttafel for 6 people plus some additions. Such a friendly service and WOW... The best Indonesian Rijstafel I have ever had. So tasty and clean!! Very impressed and my new 'go-to' for Indonesian food!

Authentic, delicious rice with mixed vegetables. Try the tempeh with soy sauce, lodeh, and spicy beef.

Excellent value for money. The portions are generous, the food is delicious. The owners are lovely.

A wonderful place to get really good food!

The food was absolutely delicious. It was very flavorful, and upon opening the meals, the delicious, exotic aromas greeted you. It's also one of the most affordable and authentic Asian restaurants I know. As a vegetarian, I might wish for more vegetarian options, but the tofu they have is absolutely delicious!

Worried. The expensive Pepesan mackerel ordered as an extra dish had a small piece of the tail. An extra container was charged for the gago-gado, but the other one came in 1 container and only a small amount of gado-gado. Disappointing.

Friendly and helpful service, excellent food and value for money.

Tasty and filling Nasi Rames (mackerel, chicken curry, fried rice, egg and beans with sambal) for €12. You can’t really fault a take-away for this price and it covered two meals for me.

This is not Indonesian cuisine. Really bad. Bami Goreng is spaghetti with a red glow. Sajoer Lodeh is still in trouble. Lemper is packaged in some kind of plastic and is tasteless. If you have no taste, this is the place for you. Can't make it more beautiful. So disappointed. And then you also pay the top prize.

The food is really, really good and very authentic. It's by far the best and cheapest meal I've had in Amsterdam and I went back for more two days in a row. The first day, I followed my nose to find the shop..you can smell the spices before you even see the shop! If I hadn't left on the third day, I guess it would have been three days in a row. The sayur lodeh, beef rendang and ayam paniki are good. And the owner and his daughter are lovely too ☺️

Only wish they were open on weekends. Favourite takeaway place in Amsterdam. Great variety of authentic Indonesian dishes.

I am American Indonesian who visited Amsterdam for the first time and wanted to eat Indonesian food. I found this place through google search and it did not disappoint! It was very tasty and authentic, reminded me the old times back in Indonesia. They were delicious and hot/spicy! Portion was generous for regular nasi rames , so make sure that you come there hungry!

We decided to grab a quick meal here and it was excellent. The very nice woman behind the counter spoke English and helped us pick some dishes. It was our first time eating Indonesian, and it did not disappoint.

Absolutely Delicious!! We had the Rice Table, and every dish was outstanding!! We couldn't get over the variety of flavors. Excellent quality and value - we highly recommend Terang Boelan! And the owner was so friendly and kind.

We two traveling women didn’t have room for a complete rijstaffel (rice table), but we found this great take-out spot in the Jordaan neighborhood of Amsterdam. Enjoy your dinner!

I am no expert in indonesian food, but the food was definitely delicious. I've tried two other indonesian places across the country and have found it to be quite spicy. The lady working here gave good recommendations on very mild dishes and they were very flavorful and yummy :)

My friend recommended this place but I don’t know how and what to order since I’ve never tried Indonesian food before. A really nice lady working there explained to me how to order for the first time. And it tastes sooooosooooo good!!!!!!!! Only 10 bucks I was soooo full and the portion was huge. Food tastes amazing, and staff working there are super friendly, kind, and patient. Will definitely come back again >3
