Good food, nice atmosphere, and the service is friendly and goes above and beyond. It did take a while before we could pay.

The food was terrible, at least what we tried. The prawns were undercooked, the prawns and scampi were too dry to swallow, and the gyros were raw. The steak, sauce, salad, and fries were passable. Service was terrible, and they didn't respond to complaints even though all plates were still full when they were cleared, even though the complaint was raised during dinner. Four people had to intervene while they all acted like they didn't know what to do, unfortunately, they paid for it out of decency. The atmosphere was like a big, noisy junkyard. Sorry, I'm not a McDonald's fan, but that was better than this. Even two people felt sick.

Beautiful restaurant with excellent food! We've eaten here many times and come back regularly for the delicious food! The only thing that was very annoying (especially today) was that they looked us out of the restaurant as soon as our food was served. In the half hour we were quietly eating, they came by 23 times to ask if we were finished. Not pleasant and not customer-friendly.

We've been coming here for years, and it's my favorite Greek restaurant in the area. I ate here again yesterday for my birthday, and it was delicious again. The food is always perfect, the service always friendly, and the restaurant is always beautiful, clean, and tidy.

Acropolis is simply amazing! A very good restaurant that takes hospitality seriously. It was pleasantly busy inside when I entered, and I was given an aperitif when I sat down. The meal was delicious, and I don't know how they can offer such quality for the small amount I ended up paying. A big compliment to the staff, who all go the extra mile to give their guests a pleasant experience!

Going for dinner on Easter Monday. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, but just before our main course was served, a group of about 12 people came to sit behind us. We could no longer hear each other, there was such an immense noise and the staff happily joined in. We didn't even feel like having a drink anymore after we had finished our main courses, because we couldn't hear each other anyway. When I indicated this at checkout, it was dismissed with the comment: "yes, madam, foreigners do make noise!" Last time for us!

What a beautiful restaurant! And the entourage suggested that the rest must be good too... and indeed! Delicious dishes, excellent service and fair prices! In the photos the sardines and tzatziki as an appetizer and the Hermus dish as a main course. Coffee afterwards because there was nothing more to add. Highly recommended and booking via the website works great!

😁 everything was very good with nice service the first time on the second visit there was a big disappointment serving one table several waiters there was no communication between them we ordered something different we got something different especially since it was supposed to be one vegetarian dish and we got two meat dishes. Long wait for the bill despite the request of several servers, when our patience ran out, we approached the manager to ask for a summary of the bill and in response to our dissatisfaction, he said if we were in a hurry...

What a good atmosphere, the food is of very high quality for a Greek restaurant and the dishes offered are not usually like in most Greek restaurants, but really special dishes from Greek cuisine, chapeau for the service and the kitchen. Worth repeating and see you again soon.

Na jaren weer eens gegeten bij Akropolis Geleen ter ere van 1e kerstdag . De zaak is modern en netjes maar wel groot en dit kan gehorig zijn bij grote drukte . De drukte viel bij ons bezoek erg mee en dus hebben we in een rustige ambiance kunnen genieten van de Griekse keuken . De gerechten zijn goed aan de portie en het vlees ( niet onbelangrijk bij een Griek ) was van zeer goede kwaliteit , zeker gezien de verschillende bereidingen op een schotel . De smaak is het beste te beschrijven als subtiel Grieks zonder overheersing van kruiden .En laten wij hier nou net van houden , dus top voor ons. Het enigste puntje van kritiek was de manier van bediening . Het hoofdgerecht kwam voor ons wat snel na het voorgerecht ( ondanks dat het niet te druk was ) .En tijdens het serveren van het hoofdgerecht zelf moeten vragen voor een ronde drank ondanks dat de glazen al geruime tijd leeg waren . Dit gold ook voor het afruimen van de tafel na het hoofdgerecht dit duurde weer iets te lang . Maar na een ronde nagerechten heerlijk voldaan van tafel gegaan . Deze Griek is ons zeer goed bevallen en met iets alerter personeel een dikke tien. Hier komen we zeker nog eens terug .

We had a meal on Christmas Day with 5 people, we were warmly welcomed, given a nice table, ordered a starter that was served quite quickly, less than 5 minutes later the main course arrived, it all looked delicious, but we didn't have room to put our plates down yet. so the table was filled with 'large' plates of meat, salads and scoops of fries, our plates for eating almost didn't fit, you don't go out to eat for this and have to push the food down asap, we had a nice meal , but the atmosphere was hard to find and especially on Christmas Day this should be a nice outing. I will not go back to this Greek restaurant, it looked like a mass checkout, if we are quick that table can be occupied 3 times for that evening. become, no experience at all.

Een gezellig Grieks restaurant met vriendelijke personeel.. Wij waren daar op zaterdagavond en het was erg druk, daardoor leek het wel een kippenhok( erg remoerig) Het eten was prima.. Niet overdreven veel, maar precies genoeg.. Het zit aan de door gaande weg, maar daar merk je binnen niets van

We werden met 6 personen aan een tafel gezet die maximaal voor 5 personen geschikt was, maar er waren klaarblijkelijk geen andere opties. Vervolgens bleef het restaurant voor de helft leeg. Vreemd. Het eten was -zoals meestal bij Griekse restaurants- qua hoeveelheid enorm, iets te zout en verder gemiddeld. Niks bijzonders, niet goed, niet slecht. Opvallend was een gerecht met garnalen die in een saus dreven waar rawits in verwerkt waren. Lekker pittig, mooi gerecht, maar wat het nou met Grieks eten te maken had? Ondanks dat het restaurant maar half vol was had de bediening ontzettend veel moeite om iedereen van eten en drinken te voorzien. Het gevolg was minstens 2 misgelopen drankorders voor 6 personen. Toch zo'n 50 euro omzet misgelopen. Conclusie: misschien nog een keer heen gaan....maar denk het niet.

Great meal, nice outside on the terrace. Staff a bit on the “I'm your best friend” side and among themselves, but polite and good. It's good that they have fun at work, sometimes some things were discussed that we received that were not intended for guest accommodation.

Good food and again way too much for us. What we brought with us. They have quite a few special dishes to share. Also for a large group.

Very noisy, never experienced this before in a restaurant. You can barely hear yourself. Halfway through the evening the music was turned up for a "happy birthday" and then continued to produce terrible music at the same volume, nothing to do with the pleasant atmosphere of Greece. Staff is a disaster, they don't like you. We were there at 6:30 PM and left at 10:10 PM for a main course, dessert and a cup of coffee. No one looks at you, the table is not cleared and when you finally catch the attention of a waiter after half an hour, it takes another 40 minutes before you get your dessert. An ice cream sundae can't be that difficult. Cappucino was brought without spoons, after we found someone to report this it took forever before we got spoons for our now cold coffee. Our neighbors on both sides also had the same experience. Terrible place and also significantly more expensive than other good Greek restaurants in the area. Once but never again!!

After years of going back to my roots in Acropolis, I could still remember the good old days. Unfortunately, little remains of the once so praised Greek Acropolis. The prices have skyrocketed: 20 euros for a gyros dish, 11 euros for 5 kalamaris rings, 7 euros per portion of tzatziki and if that's not enough, you have to share one bowl of fries and the tzatziki is spread over the plate in such a way that you get 3 extra you have to order portions (of course for a fee) to add flavor to the gyros, which is served lukewarm. The staff is very friendly I must say. They regularly ask if everything is to your liking so that they can sell you a bag of Remia fries sauce for 70 cents. My advice, don't do it.

Best Souflaki for miles around. Letting him flambé really finishes it off. Just a pity, we were there straight away with the opening. The food arrived at the table quite quickly, but after that no one was seen to order an additional drink, so unfortunately that was not an option.

The service was not friendly even after we had to wait an hour for or starter there was no apology. There were so many waiters and waitresses running around it was all but relaxing. There is a raised floor by the bar and very near diners who regularly sniggerd at people who tripped over the step. Even though meal was relatively good it is not enough to want to go back there.

We had a delicious meal with 8 adults and 2 kids (5 years and 3 years). A table was immediately designated upon arrival. This was neatly and amply covered. We were also immediately asked for a drink. After looking at the menu, we as adults indicated that we would like to eat both meat and fish. It also clearly indicates that three people like fish and the other five like meat. The children received 1 menu and 1 loose frikandel. Something they normally did not do, but since we indicated that they are small eaters, this was not difficult. We were given large bowls of fish and meat to share. Fries and sauce were also enough. Surprisingly, the food arrived quickly. Drinks were continuously replenished or other requests (extra applesauce) were quickly met. The service was friendly and the restaurant looked neat. The toilets were also clean and provided with sufficient paper and wipes. Adjusting the children's ice cream (due to a strawberry allergy) was also easy. So great.

We have been coming here since before the renovation, so it has been a really long time. The food is always delicious, and very chic. The case itself is also beautiful. Very nice to sit here. The cocktails are tasty and the meat is tender and more than enough. We also sometimes pick up a pita gyros, which gives you meat, salad, fries and tzaziki for €10. No money!

Good food but some extremely unfriendly employees. Who totally ruined our evening. This was the first time but also the last time. Pay a lot and small portions. Back home hungry and feeling disappointed.

We, two people, had a reservation for 7pm. At 7.30 pm, after asking several times, we were given a rather unpleasant table. We had to ask for the menu ourselves and at 8:35 PM I finally got something to eat. When I commented on this, the only response was that I should understand. Well: I DON'T HAVE THAT! When you use a reservation system, I understand that you sometimes have to wait about ten minutes, but not longer. And if your guests have to wait, make sure you give them an extra drink or something similar. offers. None of this, so they won't see us there anymore!

The food here is always good and the service fast and friendly. The Grill Artist always knows how to throw a party and his gyros are second to none!!! Actually our regular Greek. Always good, friendly staff. First we shared bruchetta together, we were politely asked if we wanted a plate with it. Then again delicious gyros and Souvlaki. More than sufficient portion and delicious coleslaw and tzaziki. Another dessert for my husband, the baklava. Pricey but definitely worth it! In short, see you soon!

I arrived at 5 to 5,..the place would open at 5 o'clock,...so I was the first to order,...I wanted 1 gyros dish and 1 dish with gyros and souvlaki,...those dishes were not available because they had special Christmas dishes,... on December 28, 2 days after Christmas!!! People came in who had called and immediately received their order, while I was there first at 5 to 5,.. .at 5 past 5.30 I came outside €50 lighter for 2 dishes that any normal business would be deeply ashamed of. It's time for another Greek to join us in Geleen so that this business gets some competition again... About the past when the old owner was still alive, this business has improved optically, but in terms of prices and what you get in return, it has sunk very low...🧐🧐

Via de website een tafeltje gereserveerd. De ontvangst was zeer vriendelijk en we kregen een leuke gezellige plek toegewezen. Nadat we onze keuze hadden bepaald en iets te drinken hadden besteld duurde het ongeveer 15 tot 25 minuten voordat er geserveerd werd. De Argentijnse ossenhaas was geweldig en de Paris en Heleni schaal was ook top. De porties warem ruim voldoende. Personeel informeerde of er voldoende was en of alles naar wens was. Afgesloten met een lekker nagerecht. Conclusie, voor €225,- een geweldige avond gehad!!

I was on a business trip with associate in Geleen this week. We were looking some place to eat in the evening and Akropolis was really good choice. Food was very tasty, nice served, excellent service. Nice, elegant design of the place. I had one meal only and I was full. It was great evening in Akropolis Restaurant last Tuesday. I recommend!
