We ordered breakfast from this bakery. And wow!! We had never had such an amazing breakfast anywhere before. It had everything you could wish for and was fresher than fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it!

Very good bakery, friendly staff. They deserve a better spot in Assen. Rolderstraat is a bit of a shadow of its former glory, unfortunately.

The first thing that strikes me is the location; it is a street that doesn't exactly have any charm—really a bit dreary. Upon entering, we were eventually served by the owner after having to wait for a while while no one else was being served. We placed our order and were able to take a seat. The owner went back to chatting with the staff while we sat waiting for our order. After a long wait, we finally received our cappuccino with a pastry. The cappuccino was lukewarm and had a poor layer of foam, and the taste of the coffee was not pleasant either. The cake tasted anything but fresh; I suspect it was days old. I also didn't find the owner to come across as very nice; he seemed a bit grumpy. In any case, we will never be coming back; fortunately, I know better alternatives.

I had fantastic cakes for my birthday. I discussed what I wanted with the owner, and it was so beautiful and the taste amazing. A nice, light cake. Everyone wanted to taste it and everyone was happy. I had a raspberry tart and a whipped cream cake. I am really satisfied and will definitely come back for cake again. Yummy.

Delicious cappuccino and fantastic pastries..

Dear Alsady, This baker helped us out tremendously. We were getting married on July 24, 2026, and one day beforehand, our cake was cancelled at 12 o'clock. So we were completely stressed out. I called Alsady, and this wonderful man urgently baked a fantastic 3-tier, 44-person wedding cake for us, incorporating our wishes into it and on top. Ordered a "meringue cake", but got a piece of chocolate with fruit in it. It was 30 euros, very disappointing because it was for a birthday.

Very bad experience. The service was unfriendly and we felt completely disregarded as customers. Our comments were not listened to, and there was no willingness to think along or find a solution. Additionally, we personally did not have a good feeling about the hygiene and the quality of the food. It absolutely did not meet our expectations. Based on our own experience, we will not be returning here and, unfortunately, we cannot recommend this establishment.

Very disappointing experience. We ordered a cake and paid the full price, but what we ultimately received bore no resemblance whatsoever to what had been agreed upon or expected. The taste was also very poor and absolutely did not meet the quality one would expect. Additionally, the customer service was particularly unfriendly and unprofessional. Moreover, during our visit, we felt we were treated in a discriminatory manner by the owner, which made our experience even more unpleasant. We will not be returning here and, based on our experience, unfortunately cannot recommend this establishment. I hope the owner learns to treat customers with respect and professionalism.

It is a beautiful, clean bakery! I ate pide with cheese and sucuk, it was amazing! And another plus is that everything is Halal. If I am in the area again, I will definitely come back!

What a letdown at Al Sady. My girlfriend ordered a healthy croissant (5.95) and a fresh mint tea (3.75), I ordered a sausage roll (4.95) and a cola (3.15). A moment later, we were told that the croissants were sold out and asked if we could have a roll instead. I had found the sausage roll delicious on previous visits, but it tasted sour; I didn't trust that, so I swapped it for a pastry (3.95), which was fine. The tea was served by someone in a shabby, stained-covered jogging outfit and swapped with the table next to us. After a brief moment, this was discovered by these people and the tea was swapped from one table to the other. Truly unprofessional 🫣. The waitress had long, loose hair; I have hospitality experience myself, and basic requirements usually involve tying your hair back. The total bill was 19.45, and it turned out the roll was 7.75. When we pointed this out, there was strong resistance, because we had... we could see the menu and we looked well-off and entrepreneurs are having a hard time ... so if you dress smartly you have to pay extra and it was also denied that the sausage roll was sour, they had a fresh 85 in today, so I wouldn't order that for the coming days 😉 I have always enjoyed it there until today, but for my girlfriend for the first time and for me for the last, how do I drive customers away? Like this!

Had a delicious lunch at Alsady in Assen today 😄 What a lovely place! The food was really tasty and fresh, exactly what you hope for at lunch. But what really made it special was the owner — super friendly and incredibly hospitable. You feel welcome right away 👍 Definitely recommended if you are in Assen and looking for a good lunch spot. I would love to come back here again!

I come here quite often to pick up bread, baklava and pastries, but the quality is great, the staff are very friendly and the prices are good.

A very cozy, casual little place with countless delicious treats! The first time, we had a delicious lunch with pide and künefe, the latter of which you don't often find fresh anywhere. The owner was very pleasant and friendly. We went back later that week because we enjoyed it so much. Unfortunately, the owner wasn't there, so it wasn't quite as successful. Lunch consisted of lamacun, flatbread with za'atar, and a stew. The stew looked like a Turkish takeaway in the photo on the menu, but unfortunately, it wasn't anything like it and was more like an omelet. The rest was delicious. We also took home a pudding roll and a long chocolate treat with a cookie, caramel, chocolate mousse, and chocolate flakes. I'd love to know the name of that delicious treat! It's not listed on the website, unfortunately. All in all, highly recommended. PS. They also supply pastries to the Court of Saxony, so you must be doing something right :)

I was eating there recently and it was so expensive that I think it is really crazy, it is made of gold, for that money you can get a three-course meal.

We had a delicious wedding cake made at Alsady for a reasonable price. The quality was exceptionally good, it was delicious with fresh ingredients, and the decorations were beautiful. Highly recommended! We've always had delicious bread at Alsady Bakery. Today we picked up our gender reveal cake from them, and it was also a great success! Exactly what we asked for and delicious too! 👍

✅Whole wheat bread is delicious. ✅Manakish with zaatar is a favorite. ✅Kuneyfe was just right, not too sweet. ✅Baklava is different from what I'm used to; it has less sugar and is crispy. But still very tasty.

Great shop, the owner comes across as a boss. It's possible this is just how they interact, and I might have misinterpreted it, of course, but at times, the discomfort was palpable. Colleagues are addressed/corrected right in front of customers. We enjoyed the food and felt very welcome. We received a chocolate with our coffee as a gift, which was very nice. The lachmachun was also delicious and topped with fresh vegetables. Certainly not the best lachamchun I've had, but certainly not bad. It smells wonderful, both inside and out.

What a bad copy of Gosselaar. Think of your own unique pastries instead of simply copying from your old employer. Recently bought some hot sausage rolls for a small fortune. Specially warmed up sir! My nose was lukewarm inside. Not worth the money afterwards!

In short, a beautiful store with very good staff and really high-quality products. Many prizes have already been won and many more will surely follow. Yesterday afternoon we had lunch at Alsady in Assen. Highly recommended, rarely had such a good lunch. The Lahmacum was just right, crispy and good in taste. The Pide with chicken was just as tasty. Best place for lunch in Assen!

Actually we drove past it very quickly... but I saw coffee... cake, chocolates and fresh bread. Well, as a hungry cyclist you naturally turn around and take a seat. Early in the morning the atmosphere here is welcoming and they kindly ask what they can do for you. 12mm? 18mm? Yes, we will cut that bread for you. Chocolate with coffee? Naturally! Fresh mint tea? No... only really fresh mint tea! Leaves almost straight from the plant and not a cheap bag of honey! I don't come to Assen often, but when I do I come here. I'd love to cycle again!

We received a cake as a gift a week ago. Never before, we are almost 80, had such a delicious cake. After some searching, we ended up at Alsady bakery in Assen today. Immediately bought 4 and also bought some tea, coffee and cake. Delicious. Afterwards, the lady took her to the parking garage. What service and great quality for little money.

The tastiest cakes in Assen! For birthdays they always get a cream cake here. This one is really irresistibly good!

We had coffee and cake. Then settled. We said that we had had 4 coffees. When we got outside we were called back. We had paid too little, it was said. In a full store we had to pay extra and the error was blamed on us. Also the girl had served our 2nd cup in the dirty cup. We'll never come here again.

Alsady is really the best pastry chef in Assen. Alsady's products are also not as cloyingly sweet as those of competing bakers, where you taste nothing but sugar.

Everything I asked for with the cake was not good, the looks and filling were not right at all. Mr Alsady had put cardboard in the cake and he had not discussed this with me! You can have a delicious lunch here. Two years ago we had a delicious casserole for €9.95. Now it costs €12.95. The pastries here look like works of art and taste delicious. The staff is very friendly. Today we went there for lunch again. We ordered three different pides and shared them together. The pide with chicken was especially tasty.

On September 2, 2023, I will have four here Bought loaves of bread where the bread cover was completely dark (almost black). The shop assistant did not want to give another bread because all the loaves had been in the oven for too long. The bread was not tasty, was dry and tasted burnt. It would have been better if Alsady had not sold bread that day, this bread was certainly not a calling card.

Well, what is Alsady, a luxury bakery where you can also have lunch or have coffee and cake. The latter was what we did there. My wife has coffee, I have chocolate milk and both have cake. Plenty of choice. I had truffle chocolate cake. Can you recommend it? Everything looked good. Also a large and delicious range as a bakery. The service is very friendly and correct. And very clean and tidy. It is a new business in a street that would not be the first choice. Hopefully more retailers will follow Alsady as an example, because it can also be done that way at that location. Recommended.
