Anne&Max in Stadshart

We had high tea with you for the first time last Sunday, and unfortunately our experience was not very pleasant. We had registered that we were inside and were allowed to find a spot and a lady came to us to explain it a little. “All tea is included in the high tea and you must order all other drinks separately” and we were immediately asked if we wanted something to drink. To which we replied “we'll wait for the tea” I think this was a miscommunication because the tea never showed up and when we finally got our platter served. There was still no tea. I asked the lady if the tea was also coming. To which he replied, "You can just order it from the menu." We thought this was a bit strange, because from experience you always get a nice pot of tea served with several types of tea and you don't have to ask for a different type every time. Because unfortunately the service was not really fast and we could only order tea twice in total during our high tea. The food was also a bit mediocre. On the website there is an image of a platter that you can use to spread your own sandwiches, etc. We expected this too, but instead we received 6 foccasia sandwiches with all the same toppings. 3 veggie wraps, 3 soups, 3 scones, 3 cake slices. And this was the best of the high tea treats because the other "sweet" were 3 dates with chocolate. Some cookies that you got with the coffee that we received extra with the cups of tea we ordered twice. and a bar of chocolate that had been broken into pieces. Very “easy”. We have had the opportunity to have high tea together before, but unfortunately this was the worst experience of all those times. It's a shame because you pay €75 for this for 3 people

I just stopped by. It's 8:10 PM on Thursday evening and Google Maps shows that the place is open until 9:00 PM. Unfortunately I could no longer order coffee. The young man was already closing the door and the machines had already been cleaned. I hate this so much. Then go to Joe&The Juice, they do stick to the opening hours.

This franchise is a shame to the Anne and Max brand ... I have been to great Anne and Max locations all around the country but this one was soo disappointing. Cappuccino and flat whites were really bad (tasted like coffee you get at the hema or for free at a hair salon) - sorry but I regret paying €5 for each sad cup. The scones were not even scones (its basically a bun) and it was served with YOGHURT and CURD when it's supposed to be served with clotted cream and jam (all the other times ive been to other Anne and Maxs, it was served normally and was great). Such a huge disappointment and a shame to the other good Anne and Max franchises. All 4 of us were so disappointed.

One of my favorite coffee spots in Amstelveen. Nicely decorated, open and with many different seating areas. The service is young and nice. I miss a point of contact as a manager, but I think this will be fine. A nice place to meet.

The staff was slow and ignorant, the club sandwich consisted mainly of thick bread and sauce, so the filling could not be tasted. The floor was dirty, and part of our order was forgotten and incorrectly recorded. For the price we paid, this was a huge disappointment. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Very nice service. We were immediately greeted upon arrival and we were able to choose a spot. There is more than enough space to sit and for the children also a small table with small stools and crayons and books. I always find that very thoughtful and fun. We had a chai latte and a capuccino. and a club sandwich and a vegetarian sandwich. You can only pay by debit card. They have an extensive menu, with breakfast and lunch options, but also a high tea deal. choice of vegetarian and options to choose different bread. There is also a toilet and it is a clean toilet. male & female separate toilets.

The food was fine and so was the coffee. We found this Anne & Max branch quite messy, with tables that were not clean and/or cleared. A number of options from the lunch menu were no longer available. Staff is friendly, but not overly enthusiastic.

I think I'll order a nice double chocolate. A slice of grave cake is even thicker, seriously, no joke. And even 1 micro slice with a bite out of it, how hopeless. Here the photos. What a disappointment this is. For some women, some days it just makes me angry or sad. I ordered a lunch special, which was a complete mockery. Half sandwich (very tasty bread), no chippies (as in the photos), salad with a micro bit of red cabbage sauce, especially a micro bit of spinach with bread. The food really wasn't bad, but it was really disappointing.

Update: never received a response to my email, which they themselves asked for. And I don't think I'm the only one... what terrible service. Coffee came quickly. Waited 40 minutes for our food. Still wondering where it is. Were told that due to 'an error in the system that sometimes happens' it did not get through to the kitchen. First and last time I come there, what bad service.

employee sends to coffee company because they do not have oat milk in stock. It looks like the employee doesn't feel like working at all.

Super disinterested employees, who have no interest in their work at all. Send customers to another store? Too crazy to believe! When I asked her: "Do I have to go to another store because you don't have oat milk? I can also order a juice." She said, "It doesn't matter to me." Yes, clearly she doesn't care, it's not her own store. It's a shame, I am also an entrepreneur myself and I sympathize with the owner.

Long wait, even though it really isn't busy. Ordered a pokebowl, ended up getting a plate with a little arugula and couscous, two strings of pumpkin. I had to ask for a slice of bread. 13 euros for "how little do I give on a plate, for as much money as possible". This really isn't possible.

Nice place. Menu can only be viewed by scanning. Just put a card on fray.

Only had a cup of coffee, got used to the QR code for making an order. Furthermore, fast and friendly service.

They do not really have gluten free options and half of the menu was not available to be ordered.

Walked in again after six months. Still waiting fifteen minutes for your coffee while mosquitoes bite you...

Very nice place to work flexibly with various places with sockets. I could sit in a corner near plants, while groups were meeting on some other tables. The staff is super friendly and the food/drinks are very tasty. Of course it is also just a café for everyone, including screaming children and passing shoppers, but that also gives it life.

A good cafe in the Amstelveen mall. Stopped by for a quick brunch. Was greeted with warm smiles and great service. Scones with lemon curd and clotted cream were absolutely fresh and delicious. Be sure to try the kurkumma chai tea. Didnt really enjoy the smell from the fish shop across but maybe it doesnt bother everyone 😁

Perfect place to study, work or just have a drink/lunch. Very nice people and good seating. I came here alsmost every week.

Had lunch at Annemax today. The inside of the store looks nice and is located in the Stadshart shopping center. We were helped quite quickly which is certainly a plus. The menu is quite limited. After making a choice, it turned out that our choice had been out of stock for a while. I would take this off the menu (temporarily). One sandwich was very popular. The other sandwich was quite disappointing, especially for the price you pay for it. Furthermore, there was a nice atmosphere, which was a plus. Accessibility; The business is easily accessible.

Always good food and drinks. The staff is friendly and everything is kept clean.

Just a nice, tasty place, where your coffee is not poured into environmentally polluting and taste-destroying cardboard. Excellent service too!

Very poor uncertain service. At 10:00 in the morning they already don't have much and they don't serve planks because it gets busy later in the day, while there was now virtually no one there. If you ask a question about the menu, the kitchen will not just ask what it is, but will stand next to your table and watch us google it ourselves. Literally and figuratively bad thing!

The food was so delicious! So fresh! Soup was amazing! Salad portion was good. The breads were freshly baked and the sauces were yummylicious! Amazing service. Cozy place. Not noisy at all. We enjoyed our day!

We got two cappuccinos and a club sandwich. Service came fast, was nice and brought order fast. Cappuccino was nice and food also.

Ordered coffee and croissant with butter. Then the idea is for the butter to be spreadable. Looked like a lump of concrete. Straight from the freezer. Told the lady at the counter and the answer was 'will pass it on'...no further action!!!!

Don't waste your time. Service really is non-existent. We were eventually able to get a waitress's attention to take our order in an almost empty, messy restaurant. No orange juice on a Saturday morning for breakfast (umm... AH is 100m away). Food not seasoned at all and completely tasteless. By the time we were able to get salt and pepper (had to get up and find it myself) food was cold. Eventually tracked down someone to take a second drink & dessert order. Second coffee and very sad dessert arrived, almost no space left on the table as round 1 dishes and not cleared yet, still waitress can't work out that there will be space if she clears the dishes.

We have been going here since it was first opened, usually for breakfast. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has been much lower, such as having old bread slices or less variety in the breakfast. In addition, although the staff is generally very nice, the service is usually super slow. In any case, it's one of the few places available around, so it wouldn't be realistic to expect much more.

Very disappointed, we had to ask if there was service or if we had to order ourselves. It was with service. We wanted 2 teas, 1 pure green and 1 plain black or called English tea. We were told that all teas were with one flavor or another, not natural. We wanted banana bread with clotted cream and apricot jam for tea. But that was no longer possible because the kitchen was closed and the oven had already been turned off, which was scandalous at 3:15 PM. So we left immediately. Hence this very negative report. I strongly advise against Anne&Max.

Ordered coffee and tea on Thursday 19-1 at a quarter to 5. Eating was not possible, because what we wanted to order was a hot dish and 'the kitchen was closed' (open until 9 p.m. according to the website). When my girlfriend went to do some shopping, a young girl told her in a high tone that 'we were not allowed to eat that in the restaurant' (loose meats from the butcher...). When we said that we had no intention of doing that either, she shouted: I'm just saying, because it happens often enough! Anne and Max, if you hire idiots like this, you will never see us again. And don't bother sending the standard answer, because we have already seen that we are not the only ones who think the Amstelveen branch is rubbish. I then left my telephone number and email address for contact. As expected and also indicated by others, no response. So the standard answer that they find it very annoying and would like to get in touch is pure marketing and giving the impression that you care about the experience. Anne and Max is a chain that focuses on turnover and not on customer experience

Bad staff. No attention. Very long wait. Bad whipped cream. Staff is concerned with themselves, not with guests.

One staff at the counter told us to sit down that someone will come get out order. They told us the bar and kitchen are closed because they are serving a group of people high tea .. and continues to make coffee etc at an open bar. you could lose so much customers over this kind of stuff. quite a pity that was the only way they could handle the situation. kicking out a customer? we were seated before they announced that the kitchen was closing.

Been twice, bad experience twice. The coffee was very good the first time, the second time the coffee only came after we had eaten, and was lukewarm. The Club are very thick sandwiches with thin toppings. Scrambled egg had clearly been up for a while. We were there around 11 a.m. both days, and several breakfast dishes such as yogurt were already sold out. Staff very inexperienced and not very interested. On the expensive side. Previously been to Anne&Max in other cities where it was very good - the concept is top, but the execution in Amstelveen is unfortunately far below standard. Edit: to Anne & Max's request to contact them to find a solution, never received a response.

Came in at 15:05. After not being attended to I went to order myself, was told they would soon serve me at my spot. Continued waiting to no avail until 15.30. Obviously left because apparently they dont want my money or good review 🫠 Wasn't even busy. Maybe 5 seated couples.

Little choice, slow service. I wanted to order a cake after breakfast, but it took so long for me to leave.

Very limited menu with mostly, but not all, vegetarian dishes. The setting is nice with benches and low tables, but the food is mediocre at most and the prices are high. A restaurant with a formula that doesnt work for me.

Service Unfriendly welcome. Half of the restaurant was reserved and the employees behind the bar responded very unfriendly to our question about where we could sit. The girl who eventually helped us was very friendly. To eat We had a Burrata with crispy flatbread and a kids cheese sandwich. Burrata was extremely salty flatbread was quite tasty. Looks pretty good together. And the sandwich seemed to have been heated up in the microwave. No success. Location Quite nicely decorated. Nice atmosphere.

Came in, asked at a counter whether we should order there or take a seat and wait to be served - we were told to sit and wait to be served. We waited for about 15 minutes, there were about 6 or 7 girls at the counter. The place was almost empty. We waived, tried to make eye contact - nothing. None of them bothered to come and serve us - we got up and left.

3.90 for tea is really too much. The rest is really too pricey. You are very nice there!

Small restaurant with waiters. It serves Italian food. Focaccia with beef was delicious. Descent selection of beers, tea and coffee. Accepts credit card but you have to go to cash desk to pay. You can pay by using QR-code with local debit cards. Price is lower than in Amsterdam.

Had a nice and delicious lunch with my mother! Service was very friendly, it would be nice to leave a tip! To be repeated!

Coffee and food are mediocre, quite strange considering the high prices. Staff do not actually know who they work for and have little connection with the business. Information on their website is incorrect and management doesn't care much about that. A&M is a formula of a large catering company that continuously produces containers of food by the tens of thousands at a time, and you notice that in everything.

Much of the same; these types of concepts come and go. Fine for a cup of coffee. The core of my review is that you notice that there is no passion, a terrace with wobbly tables, no enthusiastic information about what you could enjoy. That's exactly what makes the difference.

Very bad! Iced coffee was undrinkable. When we said at checkout that we didn't like the iced coffee, the lady started arguing and said that some people like the iced coffee. Not recommended!

Nice terrace with nice chairs in sun and shade. I can recommend the banana bread with fresh fruit (breakfast/lunch), which was really tasty!

End of the day and clear end of the shift, a shame but it starts with friendly, enthusiastic staff and that's where things immediately went wrong.

Just ordered two kids toasties. I have never been served such a disgusting sandwich. The sandwich was white, wet, clammy and had very dirty cheese in it. There was more cheese next to the sandwich than on the sandwich. We left it there and wanted to pay immediately. When we commented that the sandwich was not tasty, they only said 'Okay'. What customer service. We will never go here again.

Extremely slow service. Hopefully it catches up after they are not so ‘new’. Fresh and tasty summer drinks and decent kaasstengel and scone.

'Super Club' with literally (!) 2 thin slices of chicken between 3 large sandwiches... for €12! The coffee (flavors vary) is on the watery side, but nicely served in a separate jug.

3 friends sit and have a great time! Latte coffee, 2 cappuccinos delicious! and 2 delicious apple pies... really nice here
