Absolutely fantastic experience. The chef speaks about the dishes with so much love and passion. Every dish was delicious and the menu was put together so well. Only remark would be that the restaurant is quite cold, so being a cardigan.

It’s a memorable and cozy experience. We were ushered into a small room with 2 other couples. There we went through various courses and drinks. Everything was beautifully explained and presented. We got lucky the other 2 couples were fun as well so it was just easy conversations while sharing great food.

A unique culinary experience. Only six guests. The young chef and the even younger sous chef serve an elegant multicourse meal. The dining space itself is very small, rather cramped, and even with just six guests feels crowded. Other than that, it is a memorable dining experience.

Até is definitely one of the finest culinary experiences I've had in my life. A great moment of pure and direct communion with the chef's own view of it's culture and cuisine expertise. A whole lot of emotions and a perfectly blended execution of Mexican, Japanese and French kitchens. The chef is highly attentive and welcoming while perfectly sharing his passion in the highest forms. Definitely a must place to go when visiting Netherlands.

Até is a hidden gem that exceeds all expectations. You literally sit next to the passionate and enthusiastic chef. He passionately shares the thoughts behind his creations, taking you on a journey through French, Japanese and Mexican influences. Each plate is an artistic and tasteful adventure. The dishes that particularly stuck with me include his interpretation of ceviche and the gazpacho: a combination of fresh tomato and fruit that works surprisingly well. Thank you team Até for the beautiful and surprising evening!

Dining at Até was an exceptional experience. The private setting and the young chef’s kindness made us feel welcome. He was always open to questions and beautifully weaved each course with his personal experiences and stories, adding a special touch to the evening. This is a HIDDEN GEM in Amsterdam: a highly exclusive “chefs room” tucked inside the Dylan Hotel in Amsterdam - and it holds only six seats. Young Chef Filip Hanlo has brilliantly crafted this deeply personal menu, showcasing his exceptional cooking style which is a blend of his Mexican heritage, with Japanese, and classic French cuisine. The personal touch of chef’s Filip passionate storytelling through each dish makes it an emotionally impactful journey. This dinner truly feels like you are dining in the privacy of chef’s home. 100% recommended. 🌮Food (5/5) Chef serves 9-courses with 13 moments in a “crescendo approach”, where each subsequent dish included an ingredient from the previous one, building a seamless and evolving flavor profile. Ingredients may include: Mexican chiles (not spicy), kombu, sake, lime, seaweed and a variety of high quality fish. ⭐️Highlights included: 🍽 Amuse: Wagyu Tostada w/ yuzu and Akami Tuna Tostada w/chile chipotle and passion fruit 🍽 Seabass Kombu-jime (using Japanese technique of curing the fish in kombu), bergamot, caviar, mexi-ponzu (chef used Mexican citrus) and a seaweed leche de Tigre. 🍽 Lobster lightly roasted on Lime Leaves. This technique of adding lime leaves in the BBQ was personal - since chef’s father used to do that. complemented by a beurre blanc sauce and salmon roe. With a freshly baked brioche served at then end to dip into the sauce leftovers. 🍽Turbot with Coconut Veloute: with leek, lima yucateca koshō, and amabuki sake. This dish, inspired by the chef's childhood, was silky smooth with a hint of coconut, perfectly complemented by the sake served in a private cup of your choice. Drinks Chef carefully selected and handpicked the cocktail, sake, wine list, in collaboration with the sommelier. 👨🍳Service (5/5) The service was exceptional. Both the chef and his young French sous chef served the dishes themselves, adding a deeply personal touch. I was impressed that the chef not only prepared the food but also kept a detailed eye on the service. 🏠Ambiance (5/5) The ambiance was incredibly intimate and personal, set in a tiny room with only six seats, hidden within the Dylan. The feeling of exclusivity and being so close to the chef made the experience unique. 🌬️ One minor point of feedback: the ventilation; the small room with eight people (including the chef and sous chef) became quite stuffy. Better ventilation or an open window would have made it more comfortable. ⭐️Conclusion This dining experience was one of the best I’ve had so far in Amsterdam. The combination of masterfully and personally prepared food, personalized service, and a unique intimate ambiance made it an unforgettable evening. 5/5 reflects my overal feeling.

What a fabulous experience! Filip takes us on his very personal culinary journey throughout the meal, from Mexico to France via Japan, with blends of flavors that compliment each other with great finesse. It is a cuisine that is both delicate and generous, with a balance mastered to perfection. The service is impeccable. The meal is very intimate because the room can only accommodate 6 people, which allows direct interactions with the chef during the meal. I recommend coming to the restaurant a little early so you can enjoy an aperitif in the courtyard of The Dylan hotel before sitting down at the table. I look forward to following Filip’s journey in the coming years, which looks extremely promising.

After leaving Ate my girlfriend and I felt quite fooled tbh, especially because the restaurant offers Michelin prices, so you expect quality experience. The food was not well portioned. We had an 8-course menu from which all dishes where too small. My girlfriend and I even had to grab some food elsewhere after the dinner. Rather embarrassing. Even though the chef’s stories were super interesting, the food did not gave me a wow-factor. For example, lobster was used but disappeared completely in the sauce/jus. Similar happened to the caviar. The service was very friendly but it did not felt like I could ask the chef anything I wanted, since all my questions were briefly answered. I am so sorry to the staff, but I won’t recommend Ate.

My girlfriend found this place for my 25th birthday and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is located in the Dylan, a beautiful hotel with a gorgeous lounge where we drank some champagne first. Chef Filip greeted us and took us to a private room where only 6 people can be seated. It was only him and Charlotte. He made sure the food was delicious, and she made sure the service was perfect. The way Filip presents himself and the attention to detail he pays to his dishes, shows how great of a chef he is. This restaurant deserves all the praise it gets and we would definitely love to come back. One of the greatest experiences and a night we will definitely remember! P.s. don’t ask him for his favorite tequila or else you’ll be very drunk by the time you get home!

Als jij wilt eten bij een jonge chef die binnenkort een Michelin ster heeft dan is dit je kans. Filip is een uitzonderlijk talent. Fantastisch eten met achter elk gerecht een mooi verhaal. A very cool concept, with a counter for 6 like an izakaya. The atmosphere is friendly and intimate. The story of the chef and his cuisine is very rich. The flavors of the dishes are a true journey through Japan, France and Mexico. The food and experience is on the level of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The fish in several preparations, is absolutly stunning! Chef Filip's work is tasty and extremely fine. He is very close to his clients and very interseting as he traveled all around the world and have many culinary experiences. I highly recommend Até!

This is top notch. Filip is a young but already experienced chef. He creates beautiful dishes influenced by French and Japanese cuisine but mixes these with Mexican flavors. Lot’s of citrus and spices. High quality ingredients (also Dutch) and very ‘fresh’, nothing too heavy. Filip explains all courses well and the setting is intimate and seeing him preparing the food in front of you is amazing. Highly recommended

Ordered Harira soup and large shawarma sandwich and picked it up. I had a really delicious meal. Soup was a delicious flavor bomb, with a baguette on the side. The shawarma roll is nice and soft and the shawarma itself is super tender. Worth repeating.
