Athene's Olive... a Greek restaurant with the atmosphere we love. Casual, top-notch owner and wonderful waitresses. Nothing is too much trouble for them! The dish (mixed grill) was fantastic! Athene's Olive is a keeper for us!

We went there for dinner on Christmas Eve. We received a restaurant gift card from a friend, so we did. Upon arrival, we received a friendly welcome, and having made a reservation, we walked to our table. We quickly received our menu and drinks. I chose the three-course menu and my wife chose the children's menu. My starter arrived quickly, but after 45 minutes, they forgot our main course. I asked if I could have crème brûlée instead of ice cream, which was an option. My menu was €27, but the voucher was €25. We received two free espressos for the long wait. I had to pay €58 for one iced tea and one cola, and an extra €9 for crème brûlée. The food was really delicious, nothing to complain about, but the extra prices are something we don't do here anymore. It is really clean, even the restroom was sparkling, and the staff were great. All in all, a nice evening in Delft.

We ordered food and had a complaint, which was dismissed under the pretense that we ordered through Thuisbezorgd. The bag was torn, and the food arrived 30 minutes late. When you call, they tell you you ordered through Thuisbezorgd, so you're completely silenced. We ordered one without onions, so both were just onions. Never order again.

On vacation in Delft. Enjoying a Greek-style meal. What a cozy atmosphere and service here, welcoming and engaging. Delicious gyros, which were fresh, not overcooked or hard, but delicious. Tip: Ouzo, truly Greek-style. Had a house drink—where else can you get that these days? Lovely people, go here, highly recommended.

The food is very tasty, the service was great.

English-speaking staff. Upon arrival, they asked if we had booked a Social Deal, even though we had made a reservation through The Fork. Apple juice for our granddaughter was sold out. The meat was generally too salty for our liking. Here too, prices have risen, and meals are no longer complete without ordering side dishes. The price of the yogurt with walnuts and honey dessert is so high (€9.50) that you'd be better off going to the supermarket and eating it at home for the same amount for the whole week. We suspect there's a new owner/chef at the helm, as this used to be our favorite Greek restaurant in Delft, but unfortunately, it's no longer.

Great atmosphere and delicious food! We called to say we'd be arriving half an hour late, and that was no problem at all. A friendly voice told us we were also welcome at 6:30. That voice was Bart. What a lovely employee! I was very pleased with how he served and was always happy to chat. Very pleasant! Thank you, Bart! Thanks to you and the chef, it was a fantastic evening!

What a delicious tenderloin steak and lamb leg! It came with all sorts of side dishes. And the portions were more than perfect.

Poor service. We were rudely addressed and treated with disrespect by the owner. The guy who helped us was nice, and we even gave him a personal tip.

The rude manager (male) treated our family and me poorly. The atmosphere wasn't friendly, except for a young woman.

We were served almost uncooked pork! The food was bad at best mediocre and the moussaka was out of the freezer. The prices were very expensive compared to the food that was served haphazardly as if they had thrown it on the plate quickly. Nothing to do with good Greek cuisine. I will not prefer it again.

Cozy, Greek restaurant (with lovely authentic background music), just behind the Markt, on the Burgwal in the heart of Delft. Service is super friendly and hospitable. I only had to wait way too long for my main course (almost an hour). I have to say that the meat was more than excellent (I had the Solon as a main course). The side dishes; salad (dry) and the fries (limp and greasy), were just not very tasty. This in combination with the long wait makes me give it 3 stars (although the ouzo of the house made up for it somewhat 😉).

Spontaneously had dinner yesterday (didn't even eat it, but it was good) at this location. Starting with the service: the lady in question did not even bring a menu of her own accord. Had to ask for this. We got our starter (kalamaris) which were dipped in oil. No cutlery that should come automatically. Food: like above mentioned kalarmis dipped in oil, pasta was not properly warm. I almost choked on the dry shrimp. Waited more than half an hour for the food. Atmosphere: Inside it looked very cozy with the lights and decoration. Tip to owner: offer a good course to your staff. I don't come here anymore. Several people also complained during and after eating.

This is not Greek food at all. Probably some dishes also come out of the freezer. Definitely do not recommend.

We loved it! :) The food was absolutely delicious and the service really kind. Jordan took very good care of us, helped with choice of meal and wine as we were new to Greek cuisine. We will surely come back!

First impression was okay. Friendly service. Food a bit overpriced for the quality but... Ultimately asked for a VAT receipt at checkout. Received the answer that we don't have that and you can't sell what you ate 🧐.. bit of a weak story. Unfortunately, we didn't ask if we enjoyed it or if we had a nice evening. The older man (perhaps the owner seemed more irritated at our departure than what we are used to with a warm greeting from a Greek) Therefore 2 stars and unfortunately no 2nd time here for us.

Slight chaos is made up for by the friendly, slightly humorous manager. Lots of taste from fresh ingredients to the food, delicious meat, wide choice. Not expensive. The map will be adjusted soon.

We were 12 people. Owner gave us a few suggestions so he put several starters on the table to share. Furthermore, as a main course, the mixed grill. Service was friendly. All in all a delicious meal.

Ate with a large group. Any pre-arranged entrance. Afterwards, meat meals are tasty with unfortunately few side dishes such as coleslaw, fries and an unappetizing vegan menu. Tsataiki extra price. Afterwards, not everyone has dessert or coffee. Very expensive and there is little to drink. The staff is amateurish in serving and does not ask during the meal if anyone would like something special to drink. And not satisfied with the first tip offered! 50-60 Euro per person already included. Was used to better. This restaurant has become too expensive! (See better and cheaper Greek restaurant on the Stadstheater / Doelen square in Rotterdam). Don't think about coming anymore.

The food tastes very good, the service is good and has good suggestions. Relaxed atmosphere. In addition, not pricey.

Even though we were able to eat something, it was not tasty and the service took an hour for the main course. The wine was sour and undrinkable. The owner walked around, but continuously ignored us as well as the rest of the staff, while other tables with regular customers received service. As a topper, the bill was also wrong and we had to correct it. DO NOT eat here.

Ouzo was extended with water, not a good starter and the food was not what we were used to... when we said it, the shoulders were shrugged, nothing was done, I will certainly not go back here.

Delicious food with good service from Abi!

Delicious food. People thought carefully about the choice due to gluten allergy. So eating out with a gluten allergy is fine here. And the chef's recommendations were very tasty: the white beans were cold instead of warm and the orange pastry was also perfect. It's a pity that people made a mistake when paying, this was not really easy to do with pieces of paper and a calculator and mistakes were quickly made. 50 euros too much, luckily my husband noticed. But despite that, highly recommended for tasty Greek food.

We were guests last year and were very impressed. This year we were there again for dinner and were ripped off as tourists. Side dishes were served that we didn't order and everything was charged extra. The food was OK. We save ourselves another visit.

I have been coming to this restaurant regularly for years. We, my wife and I, can compare the dishes here with Greek cuisine on the smaller islands. Most of them are almost authentic and sometimes we ask for something off the menu and that is often rewarded! Keep it up! And we keep coming for a wonderful evening of Greek!

When paying, it turned out that there were various snacks and drinks that we had not taken. When my wife said something about this, it was claimed that these were really ours and we had to pay for them. She was even shouted at loudly in front of other customers. Some kind of attempt to intimidate us but just deal with it. Avoid this restaurant, very unfriendly staff and devious scammers. There are many other nice restaurants in Delft.

The 3 of us dined inside. Food and ambiance good. A male waiter sweet. A blond female waitress okay. But... the waitress with the dark ponytail who served us was impatient and just angry. Pity.

Authentic Greek restaurant, tasty food and good service.

A very sweet Greek restaurant. The chef was Turkish, and the ouzo treat he sent us was a very nice gesture. The service is fast, the staff is friendly. However, the portions are very large. So don't order everything at once when you are very hungry :) We ate moussaka and meatballs, it comes with potatoes and salad.

We had terrific service and got great recommendations on the food from our waiter Recep Abi. He is absolutely great and friendly. The food was very good, great quality ingredients and cooked to perfection.

The opening hours are incorrect. The restaurant seems to have been open for hours, with the door open, but you can't eat there. If they've been officially open for 4 hours, that's a big deal.

Super nice atmosphere in a quiet restaurant. Our host Abi, also owner, had a great eye for all guests and was very nice. I think the food was authentic Greek with many homemade dishes, the herb butter is definitely recommended. In short, good food and a fun experience for a reasonable price. We will definitely come back again.

Recommended! We had food delivered. The best Greek of all the Greek restaurants we had food delivered from. Good taste, beautifully presented, just the right 'bite'. The moussaka is great. Also the vegetarian dish with white beans and vegetables. And the giros. Tzatiki nice and 'firm', not too thin. We will only order or eat at Athene's Olijf.

We liked coming here, but the last time the food was a lot less. This in combination with higher prices is reason for us to eat out elsewhere.

We had ordered food in advance, went to get it, it wasn't there, it had gone to another address and then they went to get it back from those people and to me. Well, that's not how you do it and it was cold and not too hot. food, we didn't have nice food. Merry Christmas. They should have just given me new, 200 euros away Really bad, never do that again. Ordered and paid well in advance. Too bad.

Ik heb nog geen enkele restaurant in Delft gezien die zo veel persoonlijkheid heeft. Meteen als je binnenkomt lijkt het alsof je in Griekenland bent. Het eten is fantastisch lekker en de bediening is zeer vriendelijk. Jammer dat het vaak leeg is, er zouden hier meer mensen moeten komen eten en genieten van de fantastische atmosfeer

Echt niet om over naar huis te schrijven. Vriendelijk personeel en bediening, maar de mixed grill was zeg matig. Het gehakt was echt niet lekker en ik verdenk hun er zelfs van dat de Tzatziki uit een potje komt. Die was echt niet lekker en smaakte naar iets wat uit een fabriek komt of wat je in de supermarkt koopt.

Ga er lekker eten dan kom je er zelf wel achter dat het erg goed is..

I came here because I was looking for something cheap for dinner. It's a very atmospheric, beautiful and cozy restaurant. We had terrific service and got great recommendations on the food from our waiter. The food was very good, great quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. In whole this was an experience I would have expected from a much more expensive restaurant.

Tja, eerste indruk oogt wat rommelig, maar als je eenmaal binnen bent is de sfeer gewoon goed. Heel ontspannen bediening en relaxte omgeving. Eten is prima, smaakvol en ruim voldoende. Griekse personen die hun zaak leuk verkopen en zichtbaar plezier hebben.
