AXES, Indoor Axe Throwing Bar in Wijk 02 Belgisch Park

I was here yesterday with a group of eight, and it was very disappointing. Almost all the drinks on the menu were gone. Not even basic things like beer or coke. There were also only three axes available for the group, even though we were the only customers at the time. And even the most basic things, like hand soap in the restroom, were missing. It was clearly a very stripped-down experience compared to what it once was. Of course, they charged the full price of a good €180.

Yuri and Steph guide you in a fun way in learning to throw an ax. Both speak mainly English. It is a casual atmosphere and there is no attention to the minute when your hour has just passed. Because we were so competitive, we were given an extra round to compete against Yuri and Steph. Nice atmosphere, with matching metal music in the background to get you in the mood. Because it is also a bar, you can also have a nice drink before/after. We had a great outing and will definitely come back!

Very good axe 🪓 throwing experience with a bunch of coworkers. Everyone had fun and the spair ribs are quite tasty as well. The only thing that can be improved during our visit is that they don't have enough wine available ( no red wine) when we visited on a Wednesday evening. Otherwise everything else was good.

Leuk maar ontzettend duur. €135 voor 6 man voor 1 uur en toen wij nog een half uurtje langer wilde gooien nog eens €72 erbij. Kortom bijlen gooien voor 1.5uur komt neer op €207. Beter per baan betalen (net als bowlen) in plaats van per persoon. Hierdoor was 1 x prima maar nooit meer.

Bevindt zich vlak naast de ingang van de parkeergarage aan het vernieuwde Noordboulevard schuin tegenover de Pier. Bij binnenkomst loop je tegen de bar, aan de achterzijde en aan de zijkant bevinden zich de banen waar je de bijlen 🪓 kan gooien. Na een uitgebreide uitleg en veiligheidsinstructies kon de competitie beginnen. Even goed ingooien en iedereen had zijn juiste greep te pakken! Leuk met een stel vrienden om dit te doen. Klein minpuntje dat de witte wijn niet koel stond…

Es war eine wirklich tolle Erfahrung und hat viel Spaß gemacht 😊 Steph hat uns hervorragend die Technik beigebracht. And she is indeed awesome 😉

Overall, I have a wonderful time! I came here for my birthday and tried axe throwing for the first time. Stephanie coached us well, and then let us do our thing. Later, before I went we had a little challenge, (Stephanie and I) which I won! Again, had the best birthday experience here.
