I feel like Ayumi is Amsterdam's best kept secret. You might think this is a neighborhood hang, but if you're looking for the best and most authentic sushi that is better priced than anywhere else in Amsterdam, this spot is worth any cycling trip. And to top if off, the folks running this shop are absolutely lovely. Always best to order by phone call, wait is usually around 30min at peak time (eh weekend evenings).

Salmon quality could be improved, description of rolls would be nice, price and waiting time weren’t so good

I got their tuna and salmon sashimis. The quality is average. The shocking thing is that afterwards I asked for an extra bag of soy sauce and they made me pay 20 cents for this. Don't think I will come back!

I have been coming here every other week for 2 years now! The salmon sushi menu is the perfect meal when I don’t feel like cooking and I want something fresh and easy. There’s too much low quality sushi in Amsterdam and I can assure you this is not that. The couple that runs it are super kind and always great to talk to. Right now there’s massive construction outside (its geared towards takeaway), but I think could be fun to sit outside and eat on their benches in the summer.

Best sushi in town: fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation and great service. Love that sushi is not overwhelmed with sauces. Might be just me but I always ask for extra wasabi. Call in advance because it's always busy.

A cute place for very delicious sushi! My boyfriend and I encountered this little place by accident. If you crave sushi but don't want to eat fish, they offer vegetarian and vegan options as well! We ourselves had the vegan plates and these were very nice. Not too much rice and fresh ingredients. The owners are very sweet aswell.

We have been coming here for many years. Great quality sushi, freshly made. Because everything is handmade, it can a while before your order is ready. The combi boxes are a good deal. We usually call our order in advance and then pick it up ourselves. Highly recommended!

Even though they were about to close, I was greeted with a smile and contemplated with a wonderful sushi menu with very fresh fish. Definetly coming back on my next visits to Amsterdam. The surroundings are also very pleasant!

Tuna sashimi was pretty fresh and tender, and the salmon sashimi was alright. However, I got bones in 3 out of 3 pieces of the salmon. The rolls were okay but occasionally slightly chewy. Price was neither cheap nor expensive for what you got. Overall it was good enough to come back sometime but didn't stand out. The workers were friendly and pickup went smoothly and quickly.

Voor het eerst hier besteld en afgehaald. Wat een vriendelijke mensen en wat is de sushi vers en heerlijk! Top kwaliteit!!

Heerlijke 'take away sushi'! Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. De bestelling was snel klaar. We werden vriendelijk geholpen. En nogmaals: het was heerlijk! Nou, wat wil je nog meer?! Zit wat verscholen in de Watergraafsmeer, maar zeker de moeite van het opzoeken waard!

By far, dé lekkerste sushi! En dan hebben wij toch wel de meeste leveranciers in de omgeving (en verderop) getest! Verder ook niet onbelangrijk: vers gemaakt, op tijd klaar, Corona proof, makkelijk even parkeren met auto, scooter of fiets, rustige buurt, hele fijne eigenaren! Dit wordt een blijvertje! 💙

Zeer goede sushi en leuke menu's om zo af te kunnen wisselen. Fijn ook de eerlijke tijden die doorgegeven worden, wanneer je daar aankomt op de door hen afgegeven tijd is het altijd klaar of zijn de bestelling aan het afronden. Kunnen anderen nog wat van leren met uit de lucht gegrepen tijden.
