The food was bad, the portions were small, and the service was extremely poor.

By chance, driven by hunger, we stumbled upon this lovely shop. We ate a falafel wrap (and later another one to go). Without exaggeration, it was the best wrap I've ever eaten outside of Arab countries. A delicious flatbread, fresh, crisp, and generous salad, crunchy falafel, and a perfect house dressing. Absolutely 10/10 and a highly recommended experience. Thank you! 💚

The "meat" in the kebab wasn't even meat; it looked like animal pâté. Disgusting taste, suspicious smell, and nonexistent service. The drinks in the fridge? They had blue stains indicating they were expired and were revolting to the touch. It's a disgrace to serve that; I'm still sickened.

🚨 Horrible, I've never seen anything like it! A word of warning to anyone considering eating at this restaurant: after supposedly eating a kebab, I wonder if it was meat or cat food. Seriously, I had diarrhea all night! The meat was disgusting, I wanted to vomit.

Up until three years ago, the old location had the best meat/sandwich/sauce in Amsterdam. Then it quickly went downhill, especially the meat, which was small, dry pieces. At four o'clock on Wednesday, October 29th, I tried again at the new location. I missed all the Red Flags. Nobody was in the store, and all the equipment was turned off. I was given reheated old, disgusting meat. I went to a location that was at least 40 years old. Never again, what a shame!

We went in for dinner. At first, they served us correctly. Not pleasantly, but at least correctly. We still don't know why. They started looking at us with dirty looks. They didn't even serve us our drinks and just gave us looks of contempt, making us feel very uncomfortable, so we asked for it to be taken away. They were extremely unpleasant at all times. The worst experience we've ever had in a restaurant. Unbelievable and unpleasant.

They make up the price of the beer based on the number of customers. They also played with the card reader using six different cards until they decided to charge us while demanding cash.

The food wasn't particularly good. The prices are high and outrageous, typical of a tourist center. The staff left an unfriendly impression.

As always, we had a delicious meal at Baba Restaurant in the red-light district. Delicious authentic shawarma and buttery-soft pita bread. The service was excellent. Definitely recommended for a late-night snack.

After walking around and exploring the Red Light District in Amsterdam, I came across Baba Kebab for a late-night bite. I had the chicken kebab sandwich fine and just right for midnight. The place was calm and quiet. What stood out most was the Ukrainian lady working there very kind, with such a friendly and innocent face. 😊

HAIR IN ALL FOOD ~ As a food explorer this is one of the worst experiences for me . We ordered pizza and their kebab boxes but when the food arrived . It was topped with human hair which was disgusting. The owner of the shop was extremely rude and in constant denial. I rejected to eat it and the staff became furious and started to abuse . I think just because this is strategically located that’s the only reason this business has survived . Otherwise in the food industry such attitude must be condemned for serving which non hygienic food to innocent people who are high or drunk in the middle of day or night . I wonder if the food department of Amsterdam is active in this. I will write to them as well . Small businesses with small people in big cities . Utter shame ! Not recommended for anyone who consider cleanliness in food . 👎🏼

Kapsalon isn't crazy at all. I paid the same price for a kebab as the Kapsalon, even though it was €3 cheaper. The drink was €3.50. I recommend giving it a miss and taking in the surrounding scenery.

Habib Al Shaib Al Masry, I had falafel and hummus from him, and the taste was amazing.

Reheated side dishes, really poor durum kebab. Almost empty. They didn't even ask us what meat to choose. And they made us eat raw rat meat.

I had a kebab box and can say it was the best I've ever eaten (first I've ever eaten 😜) it's great when you get the sauces next to it so you can choose how much you want.

We only stumbled upon this place by chance, as it wasn't crowded in this part of town. The food was average and under-seasoned. There was no beer on the menu. There was a long wait for drinks despite it not being very busy (it was a Wednesday, so it wasn't crowded). The tables were sticky, and the staff generally didn't care much for you once you ordered. The price was okay, but a beer for €7 should have at least a little sparkle! I wouldn't recommend it, unless you're looking for a spot.

The food was extremely tasteless—barely edible. It felt like something you eat just to fill your stomach, not to enjoy a meal. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It’s better to spend your time and money elsewhere.

I got an Adana Kebab Durum Wrap for €11.99 and my wife got a Doner Kebab Plate for €15.99 + 2 bottles of water for €3.50 each, so €7 (water bottles probably had gold inside given the price...) At home, €11.99 + €15.99 + €7 makes €34.98. My wife went to pay because I went out for some fresh air, and when she came out of the kebab shop, I asked her "how much did you pay?" and she said, "€40 exactly." » We're not talking about €5. I was terrible at math too, and that's life, but that doesn't mean you should overdo round calculations like that. In those cases, grab a calculator and then finish no more round calculations. Now that's a good idea?💡 Isn't that right, sir, I'm terrible at math? Besides, your prices are extremely excessive; we'll never go back there again. ❌ P.S. - With the price of two 50cl bottles of water at €7 in France, I'm buying exactly five packs of six 1.5-liter bottles. €40 for two in a scammer's kebab shop... you might as well go to a real restaurant, I recommend it!!!!!

Mijn ervaring bij Baba Restaurant was werkelijk fantastisch! Van het moment dat ik binnenstapte, werd ik hartelijk verwelkomd door het vriendelijke personeel, wat de toon zette voor een geweldige avond. Het restaurant heeft een warme, gezellige sfeer die perfect past bij het heerlijke eten. Het menu biedt een prachtige mix van smaken en alles is duidelijk met zorg en liefde bereid. Ik koos voor een van hun specialiteiten en was absoluut niet teleurgesteld – de smaken waren intens en perfect gebalanceerd. De presentatie van de gerechten was ook indrukwekkend. Je kunt zien dat er veel aandacht is voor detail in elk gerecht dat wordt geserveerd. Wat me vooral opviel, was de geweldige service. Het personeel was attent zonder opdringerig te zijn en ze namen de tijd om uit te leggen wat elke gerecht inhoudt, wat de ervaring nog specialer maakte. Possibly the best food in the area. Spent 3 days in amsterdam, and besides some decent fries, nothing has come close to the quality of the food here. If you choose to eat somewhere else, just stay away from favorite chicken & ribs, they are a scam 😊

Fantastic experience. I have tried food from too many awful places in Amsterdam, and FINALLY i found a place that could give me a good experience. I tried the lamb kebab wrap. The lamb was AMAZING! The dressing could use a little more taste, but the lamb definitely makes up for it.

Scam!!! Super expensive for poor quality, you are served empty kebabs. 5€ for fries, because yes they are not included in your kebab. In addition to you stealing and they force you to post a comment before paying to be sure you have a good review. I will never set foot there again. I should have read the comments first to understand. Total disappointment, I'm really in shock.
