I was at your Bakker Bart in Sittard today, Saturday, July 26, 2025. I ordered a €3.50 cappuccino, which they didn't have. I was told in a very unfriendly tone that I should go to another one. I was told there's only one in Sittard, yes, if it's in Beek, then take it off the screen. I said, but no one said anything about it. I find it very unfriendly. I'll pass your shop next time. I got the €3.75 cappuccino.

The employee who helped us today was anything but friendly In fact, I found the way she treated her customers downright antisocial. Rude to the customers, the sandwiches we asked for were just flattened together and ordering a cup of coffee was apparently too much to ask, I think from her snappy reaction. I'll think twice before I go here next time.

Friendly lady, even at closing time

Delicious! That was it, 15 years ago… Driven by nostalgia and fond memories of the pizza roll from my youth, we entered Bakker Bart full of good cheer. That's where the first disappointment began: a strange new form of the vegetarian pizza roll stared at us. The much-loved pizza baguette had disappeared without a trace, and the mysterious appearance of something called "BBQ chicken pizza" should have been a warning sign. But no, in all our gullibility we ordered four pizza rolls anyway. Warm? Yes. Baked? Apparently not. The employee kindly asked if we wanted the rolls warm. Of course! We enthusiastically agreed, not suspecting what was in store for us. When the pizza rolls arrived, they looked as if they were in urgent need of help. It seemed as if the question "baked or not?" had been lost somewhere in the bakery hierarchy. What appeared on the table was a tragic remnant of what was once an iconic factory roll: a limp heap of dough with a layer of toppings desperately trying not to slide off the bun. The once crispy base had been replaced by something that looked suspiciously like a sponge in texture. Bell pepper cubes, once beautifully charred, now lay like bleached pawns on the surface. When I picked it up, the pizza roll immediately folded in half, the toppings – in a desperate attempt to save themselves – treating my wrist to a burn. A culinary Chernobyl The first bite was the low point. The sauce tasted as if it had never known a tomato. The bell pepper cubes had barely thawed. The cheese? Nowhere to be found. And then the dough… raw. Seriously, raw! For a moment I doubted myself: had I made a mistake? No, the mystery solved itself. The employee had politely asked if we wanted the rolls warm, but had forgotten to ask if they also had to be cooked. A small detail, but essential, you might say. Nostalgia in tatters Disappointed and disillusioned, we left the shop. My youth turned out to be a lie. The pizza sandwich from Bakker Bart will never be what it once was. Some things are better left in your memory – at least they still taste good there.

For less than 5 euros I had a great breakfast. Breakfast consists of a cup of coffee or tea, a glass of orange juice, croissant with jam, a white or brown roll with ham, chicken fillet or cheese with salad. If you want avocado or something else with it, you pay extra. This breakfast is available until 10:00.

Excellent bakery with an extensive range and friendly and helpful employees. You can also drink a cup of coffee and eat a sandwich👍

Nice friendly place and on Saturdays you can go there as early as 8am.

Placed an online order yesterday for pick up and picked it up today. No arugula was added to my carpaccio sandwich. Is there no truffle mayonnaise? While the sandwich is already 8.25. Added ham sandwich, no vegetables, what is on it, vegetables, I would like mustard, dill dressing, it is not there, a bit of a shame, normally I always post good reviews, but I think this is a shame

Ever since I was a little boy (25 years ago), we came here with the family, especially for the large vegetarian pizza. Unfortunately out of the range. Take the place of a small one that isn't so tasty. No more reason to visit a baker Bart. Made this pizza myself out of necessity😁

We ate a broodje gezond and it was plentiful and delicious with bruin brood, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, cheese, egg and ham. Later, have a delicious cappucino afterwards. Friendly service, also spoke German to me. The prices were decent. Toilet clean, no gender separation.

Central place to have coffee and sandwich, delicious espresso and maffins

Bakker Bart is something like the Dutch counterpart of Bäcker Kamps in North Rhine-Westphalia. You can actually find it in every city here and it is delicious and inexpensive. You can order a sandwich or baguette individually or in ready-made combinations or, for example Have a piece of pizza ("Kip" means chicken and is super delicious) warmed up. You can sit inside or outside - if you do the latter you'll be sitting right in the Sittard's shopping area - and it's worth the trip: great clothes at reasonable prices, ( The trip to the nearby Roermond outlet center may be interesting for me because of the increased number of pretty ladies 🤩), shoes, jewelry, accessories and not forgetting the Thursday market with regional products and the fresh fish cart (kibbeling with Knoflooksaus = cod with garlic sauce, definitely try it ,ultratasty!!) which are in no way inferior to the fish counters on the *Norderstrand* and further enhance the city!! Freshly squeezed orange juice is available as well as the usual coffee and tea varieties..❤️❤️❤️

Ordered a warm cheese roll, it was a soft, sticky hot experience. After making a comment, they offered to put it in the (microwave) oven for a while. Just left him there. My partner had a fillet sandwich. Was very sparingly applied fillet with a little onion. The HEMA a little further away offered a sandwich for almost half the price with much more fillet and an egg on it. He somewhat regretted the choice. We don't do that anymore.
