Very good bakery, delicious products...anyone who comes to Bergen op Zoom should visit it.

Flat tones recommended, but in moderation

You simply have to try De Platte Tieten, especially if you have a sweet tooth. They do close early (2 pm), so be on time.

Not too big a store, large assortment. Received excellent service, definitely recommended.

Bakkerij Groffen is a well-known bakery in the region, and it deserves that reputation. The shop is well-organized and compact at the same time. The homemade products are of good quality and taste good. I have had delicious treats here quite often, and although it isn't cheaper than in the supermarket, you shouldn't expect that from an artisan bakery. Fortunately, they aren't the most expensive either. Recently, I ordered a Groffenkoek® Pie Deluxe for my birthday and was also surprised (by my family) with another personalized Groffenkoek®. Both were delicious, as I have come to expect from this bakery. Furthermore, besides the Groffenkoek®, my favorite is the Veal Sausage, which is made fresh here every day. If I have to mention any downsides, it is (1) the limited walking space in the shop, which can quickly feel crowded with just a handful of customers. Also (2) that delivery is only possible within the municipality of Bergen op Zoom. It would be nice if delivery were also possible for locations further away (possibly for a fee), for example to make it easier to treat people at work with Groffenkoeken®, etc. And finally (3) the early closing time (14:00). This is offset by an early opening at 6:00 in the morning, so it makes sense, but it is a shame for working people who like to stop by the bakery after work. All in all, a great bakery, where I will certainly keep coming back. Highly recommended!

A fantastic bakery. Huge assortment. The most famous are, of course, the Groffen Koeken, also known as Platte Tieten. But all the other snacks are excellent. Very friendly and skilled staff. In short; simply a top-notch bakery for decades. Enjoyment with a capital E. Highly recommended for your taste buds. The text on the facade says it all: Come inside quickly before you and we starve. A beautiful, dynamic, and innovative company. Artisanal through and through!

We went here specifically for the local produce. It was a real shame that we were treated extremely rudely by a very arrogant woman. The produce is probably good, but this experience made it taste rather unpleasant. It took the fun out of it.

My experience with the flat cookies is good...just a pity that if you order 27 cookies they are all crammed into 1 box, resulting in flat cookies stuck together.

Today I visited Bakkerij Groffen with my daughter for their famous "flat breasts," and what a treat it was! Not only were they delicious (fresh, soft, and made with love), but what made this visit special was that we got to see how everything is prepared by hand. My daughter even got to peek behind the scenes at the bakery—how cool is that?! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can tell that passion for the craft and love for the customers go hand in hand here. Everything exudes craftsmanship and quality, from the aroma upon entering to the beautiful selection in the display cases. We will definitely be back 🥐💛!

For a friend's 50th birthday, I ordered a Sarah cake from here! It was delicious! I also bought the well-known Groffenkoeken, which were a huge hit at our house.

Delicious the.groffenkoek. I also took the bergse bastaerrt. I had asked is there alcohol in it? The lady said not at home it turned out there was. Waste of 10 euros because I don't eat or drink alcohol :-(

We ordered a cake here for our gender reveal. It was a cream cake with fruit on top and pink and blue decorations. The cake was certainly big enough. Tastes delicious and even though it was a cream cake, it tasted nice and light. Definitely recommended!

Every now and then we drive here to get the delicious Groffen cookies. Those are so tasty. The disadvantage is that we often take more tasty things with us. A very nice clean store with friendly employees.

Nice bakery with delicious treats. The bread tastes good. We regularly have bread delivered and then keep it in the freezer. The delivery service is very nice and always goes well. We never actually buy anything in the store because it is in a somewhat unfortunate location in terms of parking. But ordering online is a great alternative. The baker takes various celebrations into account throughout the year and adjusts his baked goods accordingly. Bakker Groffen is a household name in Bergen op Zoom!

Delicious porridge/gross bread roll. Bread is also excellent, of course, but we always come here for the above.

Traditional baker with super delicious Groffenkoeken. If I even get a chance to be in the area from Voorburg, I try to get a pair. Very nice staff. Everyone is helped very politely and patiently. If I have to wait a while, I have a good view of the activity in the bakery.

Delicious and also good value, especially because sausage bread is often too salty, this was not the case here. De Groffenkoeken zijn een begrip in Bergen...heerlijk! Maar ook alle andere producten zijn van uitstekende kwaliteit!

Heel lekkere koeken, de groffe koek genoemd. Een delicatesse. Ook het personeel is heel aardig en zeer behulpzaam. Het kan er som druk zijn maar dat wordt opgevangen door het vakkundige personeel. Als je je vrienden of buren wil verassen, trakteer ze op een koffie met een groffe koek!

Vriendelijk personeel en een mooi uitgebreid assortiment. Als je er toch bent, de platte koeken moet je hebben!

Al jaren een begrip in Bergen op Zoom ( voor mij alweer ruim 35 jaar .. Na lange tijd ben ik weer terug in BOZ en als je iets te trakteren heb haal je hier de lekkerste koeken. Ik had ze gehaald voor vrienden in Middelburg ( die vroeger ook hier woonde / werkte ) en we hebben er met zijn allen van genoten!

Goede kwaliteit en fijne service! Super goede en verse producten en fijne mensen daar. Ze hebben ons diverse keren het lekkerste gebak geleverd, daar zijn we het allemaal over eens als werkgroep De Eetbare Stad!
