Bakker Koning in Wijk 07 Heemradenwijk

I had bought a "too good to go" package, and I sent my friend to pick it up between 4:45 and 5:00 PM because I'm at home with a broken foot. He arrived on time (4:54 PM) and was immediately greeted kindly with the remark: "I hope you have your QR code handy because we're about to close and then the doors will be locked. Good start!" Then, at 4:57 PM, he was asked to leave the store because they wanted to check out promptly at 5:00 PM. My friend was thrown out in dismay, while a woman next to him, who had just entered the store at the same time as my friend, did get her package. I then called the baker to ask why he hadn't gotten the package, and was immediately answered with "HELLO WE'RE CLOSED, WHAT'S UP?" I then asked why he hadn't gotten the package since he had shown a valid code in the store. The saleswoman told me it was for the wrong store and that he was late because she wanted to check out at 5:00 PM. I told her the pickup was meant for the BAKR on Middenweg in Heerhugowaard, to which she replied that they were closed. She didn't elaborate on the fact that we had a 15-minute time slot to pick up this package, and my friend arrived on time with valid proof of purchase. I've rarely encountered such unfriendly staff. We also reported to the "to good to go" platform that this woman refused to give packages. She said she would discuss the possibility of picking it up tomorrow with her boss, but according to her, we could forget about it. Either this woman had a terrible day, or she's simply not suited for a job where customer contact is so important. In any case, we won't be back anytime soon.

Got two sausage rolls here (for the ladies at Pearl... they had helped us so much... we should treat each other a little every now and then, right?) The lady at the bakery was very friendly...

The cake was delicious and beautiful. Communication went smoothly. I recommend everyone order their cake here!

Friendly people and real bread, good quality and full of flavor. And the pastries are delicious.
