Bakker van Maanen in Wijk 02 Noordwijkerhout

This is where I like to get the dune bread. Many different types. Delicious bread.

We visited the Bakker van Maanen cafe by chance while driving through Noordwijkerhout. The cake and coffee we finally got were delicious and tasted great. Unfortunately, the service experience was very unpleasant. Once they found out we spoke English, their attitude changed. Ordering coffee was particularly problematic. Apparently the staff didn't know the difference between a Macchiato and a Latte Macchiato, even though they have both on offer. One of the ladies told me in a rather unpleasant tone that it was the same thing. It wasn't until I explained the difference to her and showed her directly on their own ticket that she started to process the order. I don't understand Dutch, but it was clear that she and her colleague were discussing it in an unpleasant way. The overall impression is that the staff unfortunately do not know what types of coffee they offer and the approach to foreign customers who do not speak Dutch is very unprofessional. It's a shame because the quality of the products is really high.

I politely asked for a spoon or fork. The lady said in a non-nice and saucy tone that there wasn't any. It's good that the gentlemen at the kebab shop next door were 100 times nicer.

Unfortunately it doesn't open until 8 a.m. This is a great shame for the working population. The coffee is served in a very small cup. Not worth it. Shame!!!

Heerlijk brood, daar nog je van eten.

Freundliche Bäckerei mit viel Auswahl. Preislich kein Schnäppchen, aber von der Qualität 1A. Kann ich gerne weiterempfehlen

Very nice bakery with super tasty bread and awesome rolls which are great for a nice vacation breakfast. Also a very nice and friendly German and English speaking staff.

Tolle Auswahl an Brot und Brötchen. Es gibt nicht nur Brötchen in weicher Konsistenz.

2 Wochen Urlaub und unser Favorit was Brötchen ,(vorallem die Kuchen sind der absolute Hammer) war. Vermissen sowas in Deutschland 😊
