Bakkerij Broekmans in Asten centrum / west

Strange incident: an older saleswoman, at her age, could use a customer service course. Customers are surprised by her responses to complaints. Her employer probably doesn't know what's happening in this store. People are returning with burnt snacks. It's not being resolved properly, or even not at all. I've lost my customer service as well.

I entered the bakery on two crutches and asked for a bag of rolls. The saleswoman said, "You have help with you, don't you?" even though there was no one in the shop. She went to the back and I left without any rolls. She was very rude.

Broekmans bakery has been a household name in North Limburg since 1888. The founder of Broekmans bakery is Johannes Henricus Broekmans. This started in 1888 with a bakery on Steenstraat in Panningen. In 1918, Johannes Henricus' son, Martinus Broekmans, took over the business. As Martinus' eldest son, Harrie was given the privilege of taking over the bakery. He did this in 1956 together with his wife Angèle. Thijs, Harrie's son, took over his father's business in 1987. He did this together with his wife Caroline. At that time there was only 1 store left, located on the Steenstraat in Panningen, the place where Johannes Henricus also started. After that, the Broekmans bakery gained momentum. In 1993, the 2nd branch was opened at Pastoor Huybenplein in Panningen. Then, after a takeover of the Trepels bakery, a branch was added in Maasbree in 1998. In 2000, Limburg's eyes went to Brabant, where there was a great opportunity. The 4th branch was opened here in Asten. Just back from Brabant to Limburg. In 2002, the 5th branch of the Broekmans bakery was opened on Kerkstraat in Horst. Because 5 branches were apparently not enough and the store in Asten was doing so well, the 6th branch was born in 2004 in the neighboring village of Asten, namely Someren. After this there was a small break, I thought. Until 2006, the store on Pastoor Huybenplein in Panningen had to go due to major plans for the square. This store has gone and a very nice new store has been built on the Markt in Panningen. In addition, the Zelen bakery was acquired in the same year. This store was moved in 2009. This went to a new location on Pastoor Huybenplein. 2011 is a big year for Broekmans bakery. This year there will be a major move, namely the bakery. During the two days of Pentecost, the entire inventory of the old bakery on Steenstraat must be moved to the new bakery on Maasbreeseweg in Panningen. Broekmans bakery did not stand still in 2012 either. This year the 8th branch was opened in Grubbenvorst.
