Bakkerij MAMA in Zwanenburg

We'll be back to buy some bread and bake a pastry at my friend's recommendation. Finally found bread with just three ingredients, just like my mother makes. She thought it was strange that the bread here is so dark. And she told me they put things in it.

Els pointed to a spelt loaf. “That’s more expensive,” she said. “That’s conscience,” the baker replied. They took two croissants – one for hope, one for disappointment. At the table by the window, Harm said: “Do you feel that too?” Els: “What?” Harm: "The yeast that works in your soul." They ate in silence, while the sun illuminated the crumbs on the table as proof that happiness exists in the form of leftovers. In short: Bakery MAMA bakes bread, but serves comfort. Five stars – because nowhere does life blossom as beautifully as here.

Bread as it should be, without E numbers, without additives. Period. Service and friendliness as it should be. Period. A cozy, no-nonsense atmosphere and a welcoming atmosphere in the simple shop and interior. A terrace. A cozy seating area, good coffee, and a nice menu with a selection of delicious sandwiches. So many reasons to go there. Their website has a direct link to WhatsApp where all the breads, pastries, and cookies are listed by category, along with information about what's in them (or not 💡).

Fantastic bakery!!! Can't say anything else! They're also at the Zuidermarkt in Amsterdam!! That's worth it too!

Yesterday I had a lovely bike ride from Noordwijk to Mama's bakery. I bought some delicious sourdough bread and enjoyed a croissant with a nice cup of coffee. Everything was perfect, until next time.

Excellent bread, just the way it should be. Pure and natural. Yes, the prices are higher than the average bakery, but the time and effort invested in making it justifies them in my opinion. Plus, this bread doesn't need any toppings, it's so flavorful. A little olive oil is enough, and it fills you up faster, so the prices are actually quite reasonable.

Super nice place in Zwanenburg. Very nice bread, croissants, cake you name it. You can sit there nicely with a coffee and a breakfast or a sandwich. Super atmospheric It would be perfect with a barista coffee.

I was here for the first time today. Incredibly friendly people! Super fun, special and healthy products. Also nice to give as a gift. Sandwiches are very tasty and the atmosphere is like coming home. The only point of criticism is that the coffee does not keep up with the extremely high standard that the place offers. I would love to come back, perhaps to give a crash course in latte art😉

A very good sourdough baker. We visit all the sourdough bakeries in the Amsterdam area, and Mama is high on the list. Clearly indicated on the loaves whether they are yeast or sourdough breads (and very beautiful!) The only downside is that their bread is much saltier than average... Service is always very friendly. There is a table with a seat, but not necessarily to go there specifically to eat or drink. Finally, they are easily accessible and active online (handy!).

Bread was way too salty. Perhaps a wish of the catering industry, but don't fall for it. Too salt is not tasty and very unhealthy.

Good, artisan baker. Processing at the checkout is quite cumbersome. But on 19.03.24 helped by a sweetheart.

I honestly haven't had such delicious bread/pastries anywhere else that even comes close to these products. (bought at Zuidermarkt). Costs a bit more than in the supermarket, but then you really get something. Can recommend it to everyone!

You can find delicious sourdough breads. Also there are multiple natural product options like egg, raw milk, kefir, cheese, olive oil, jams etc. We are lucky to have a reach such a local shop.

Heerlijke lokatie, vol met enthousiasme en heerlijke eerlijke producten, echt iets om met mooi weer op terras of binnen al te consumeren, dus een aanrader voor de gezondere eetgewoonten.

Great place and great owners who are very nice people, gave us free ginger bread with our order and talked with us about the town. The quiche and banana bread were very nice.

Sehr leckeres Gebäck aller Art. Natürlich vergleichsweise teuer, aber den Preis absolut wert. Es sind auch ein Paar Tische vorhanden, so dass man auch frühstücken kann. Top!

Bakkerij Mama is geweldig. Heerlijk brood, heerlijke broodjes, maar ook allerlei andere gezonde en lekkere producten. Als je in de buurt bent, ‘moet’ je echt even naar binnen gaan. De koffie of thee is ook prima. Kijk je ogen ook uit naar de aparte kunstwerken en andere spullen die op allerlei verschillende plekken zijn te ontdekken. Inclusief een ‘The Best of’ LP van…. jawel: Bread 😏😊🎁

Every product is delicious. The breads are sourdough and bio. The bread texture and taste are the best I have ever tried. I drive 20 km every week to buy from these breads.

Lovely bakery! Went here repeatedly for a few months and I would definitely recommend. They didn't really change the sandwich menu for two months but I really liked it so it was no problem for me. The bread tastes really fresh and they give big slices. If you want to eat there with a big group I would recommend calling ahead of time. They don't have a large eating area. Just 1 big table and a smaller one. I think the concept of the big table is really fun, sometimes you have lunch there with strangers. Bonus points, I really love the decor and the people that work here are really nice.

Genieten! Vanmorgen voor het eerst een broodje gehaald, aan de Hemonylaan in de Pijp -- ga ik absoluut vaker doen.

One visit usually isn't enough to know whether a place will be consistent... but, in today's world where people are quick to bash others and businesses, I think we shouldn't hold back sharing good experiences. I visited Bakkerij MAMA this past weekend and had a couple of coffee, a sandwich and a dessert. I also brought home a loaf of bread and some focaccia. The cheese sandwich I had was delicious and one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. The perfect combination of flavours in the ingredients plus the fresh bread made it a winning combination. I know I enjoy the food when I eat slow.... and this sandwich was eaten VERY slow! ;) I like the apple tart for dessert, but I didn't enjoy it as much (I think the sandwich spoiled me!). Coffee was good, and the bread and focaccia I brought home were really good too. The place is small but cozy. There's not much happening in the neighbourhood but not too far away you'll find an outlet mall (in case you fancy some shopping too). The staff was friendly and attentive. While I won't be in the Netherlands for long and am staying quite some ways from the bakery, I'll try and come back at least once more.

Heerlijk brood ontzettend lieve mensen

Een goede Bakker met bijzondere broden en heerlijke taartjes, cakejes en koekjes. Je kan hier ook even zitten en een broodje eten of een taartje met koffie (ook met havermelk en soyamelk) en thee. Verder kan je er kwaliteits olijfolie en zelfgemaakte jam kopen.

Leuke down to earth bakkerij met alles wat je maar wil tussen brood en patisserie. Tegenwoordig ook met zitjes en vers belegde broodjes.

One of the best places to have lunch in greater Amsterdam region. Superb bread and pastries without additions. Recently they created a terrace and a space inside to enjoy a first class espresso or coffee. Sandwiches are one of a kind. Don’t miss this bakery. Breadwalhalla!
