By far the best bread available in Oldenzaal! Before we went to buy our bread at this bakery, I never ate bread in the morning. I always find bread that has been left at home for more than 1 day to be inferior in terms of taste and structure and that is why I have never really had bread for breakfast, unless it was bought the same morning.. *spoiled, I know* We heard positive words from various people about the bread from baker Olde Keizer. We then started trying it ourselves and since then I have been eating bread every day, delicious!

Good to read that the baker fired the employee in the video. Today's three one-star reviews are therefore unjustified. It would make sense for the authors to remove them themselves.

It's always busy here when I come. But that's not strange of course 🤔 We always stock up on some bread 🍞. But these always stay tasty and fresh for a long time. The bulk loaves 🍞 go into the freezer, and they will remain nice and fresh for a long time afterwards. With other bakers it's a different story! We are not from Oldenzaal, but this is our home baker😁

The recipe has been considerably adjusted compared to the past. Quality is no longer what it used to be. A baker who puts more additional ingredients in his bread than the average supermarket. That used to be different. Where has the quality aspect of 'De Warme Bakker' gone? In response to Olde Keizer's response (to my fairly short review), an explanation: The large amount of sugar used (to achieve faster fermentation, among other things) is particularly striking. Sugar, dextrose and burnt sugar are mentioned. Total 4.47 grams. That is significant even compared to bread from industrial bakers. The large number of fatty acids is also striking, although there is not much wrong with that. But why? Below are the ingredients at Olde Keizer of a standard whole wheat floor bread that you can buy at many bakeries: Ingredients: Whole wheat WHEAT flour, water, WHEAT flour, sugar, yeast, baker's salt, BARLEY malted flour, whey powder (MILK), field bean flour, dextrose, sugar (roasted), yeast extract, sourdough powder (WHEAT, RYE), enzymes (WHEAT), WHEAT malt, Vegetable fat (palm kernel), Vegetable Oil (rapeseed), Emulsifier (E475, E482, E481), Fully Hydrogenated Vegetable Fat (palm) That's a lot of ingredients for a basically simple product. Compare these ingredients with other bakers and you will notice that many more - extra - ingredients are used here. All to be able to make more bread and faster. Shelf life too. But that no longer has much to do with the bakery's craft.

Delicious fresh bread and friendly service. It's a pity that when you get bread in the morning when you open it, the bread is still too warm to cut, causing you to get 'deformed' bread slices. Only downside, otherwise great!
