Great bakery, friendly staff, helpful, and always up for a chat. There's plenty of room outside for the dog, and you can always park your bike right outside.

Be careful, don't order anything here for a birthday or in memory of a deceased grandmother. They'll just sell your order to someone else, and you'll have nothing. "Sorry" doesn't buy you anything. A very, very bad deal. Karma has done its work 🥰

Korte Brugstraat 4Yesterday I wanted to buy eight Christmas sticks, but they were sold out. I asked them to reserve eight for me and paid immediately. When I got home, it turned out my father had also bought eight sticks, from the same bakery. I went back today, and they were very reluctant to accommodate me; I had to buy four sticks, so I'd get half my money back. I found this very unfriendly, because the other sticks were bought from the same bakery, and they'd definitely be sold today and tomorrow. I haven't been here for bread since it became Bakkershuys. We miss Mark Elias!
