A lovely, authentic bakery with a patio. After a bike ride, we thought we'd have a nice coffee and pastry. Suddenly, the bill showed an extra 80 cents (a 40 cent surcharge on each pastry! This was already quite expensive, but it was clearly indicated in the display case). When we inquired, the saleswoman explained that they had to charge extra for dishwashing and such. We hadn't seen any announcement about this or received any prior information about it. No apology either... when we inquired... I just got the impression that the women who had to say this also found it a bit strange. Not very nice to us as customers who are also asked to provide self-service for ordering, picking up, and returning. We certainly don't mind, but secretly charging extra is not nice. A bad taste in our mouths after this visit! We could have asked for an 80 cent refund, of course, but that's not the point. This is not a nice gesture to treat your guests unfairly. We'll probably try a different patio next time.

The food and atmosphere are fantastic, especially the vintage interior. You'll feel transported back a century. Definitely worth a visit for a bite to eat or a drink. Good quality food.

Gorgeous, traditional bakery with lunch room in this very lovely town. Prompt, friendly service and delicious food. The profiterole was exceptional.

A cozy little terrace at a nostalgic bakery. A small pastry (overbaked shortcrust pastry) with a few halved strawberries was €5.15!!!. Next time, just coffee.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been. An antique bakery from Grandma's time. You step right into Anton Pieck's. Rolls made at Grandma's table or a hand-made chocolate roll from the bakery section—it's all possible.

Delicious bread, I go to them every week to get bread for the whole week. And of course a nice cup of coffee with something tasty inside or outside.👍

Set in the most beautiful town this bakery was the perfect stop for a breakfast bite. Sitting outside we could take in the beautiful architecture while enjoying a lovely toasted ham and cheese sandwich. There best one we have had so far during our stay. The staff are incredibly friendly. The perfect morning coffee and breakfast stop.

Delicious sandwiches from the bakery and enjoyed in front of the shop on the terrace where parasols provide some shade. You are sitting directly on the quiet main/shopping street with medieval architecture; it provides the.special atmosphere. In bad weather you can find a spot in the lunchroom. Self-service, so go inside to view the varied menu and place your order. Bringing your own cutlery and getting your soft drink from the fridge is very common here. Service does serve at the table. Toppings could be more, because it is enough for 1 half of your sandwich. Clearing up is also requested and no problem of course. Staff is open and very friendly. A visit to this award-winning bakery (worstebrood winner 2025) is definitely worth it. Even if you can't have lunch, buying bread or something else tasty from their own bakery is worth it

Today we did a sausage roll making workshop at Bakkertje Deeg. Highly recommended! Giel Vermeulen showed the company behind the scenes with great passion and enthusiasm. We drank coffee in the cozy lunchroom and everyone took home a delicious bag of homemade sausage rolls. They taste great!

Enjoy a cup of coffee in the old fortress town with one of the best sausage rolls from Brabant. It doesn't get much better :-). The store is nicely decorated with old things. The bakery and ice cream parlor connect nicely.

What a nice place! Or for detail down to the last detail! Croissant was tough/old but sandwiches were delicious and the coffee was tasty.

We were at the door five to five! An older man from the area who comes there every week, called the employee! There were still employees inside, a woman came out of the side door and shouted Overstraat! We are closed! It's your turn tomorrow morning at half past eight. We are open again! The older man was indignant and shouted, I come here every day! What a mentality! We don't need any help and the clock struck five! We will never go there again!! And I hope the older man doesn't either!!

Wonderful place for coffee and sandwiches. Beautiful decor in both the bakery and the lunchroom. Ordering yourself from grandma's kitchen is no problem for us, but it may not be as clear to foreign guests.

Sweet place. Limited seating outside and more inside. Lovely bread, savouries and cakes and a homely, quirky setting with games and books available to use. We had some reasonably priced lunch- chicken salad, ham and cheese sandwich and the mysterious (to us) "bouncer" (uitsmijter). The staff were friendly, and while I was bemused to pay 50 cents for a small glass of tap water and and additional 10 cents for both white and brown bread choices, you can't fault the transparency of the bill!

Place looks nice, people friendly but the food and pasteries where awefull. It upsetted my stomage, never again.

Where can you find the best sausage roll.... here. But besides that, it is all of good quality and the business has a wonderful appearance.....

Looking for a place to have lunch, I drove through Heusden and thought, "a nice sandwich is also good".. inside I am pleasantly surprised that the bakery is not only a wonderful shop but also a hospitable location for a nice lunch. Well-made sandwich! and of course a sausage roll... Very nice ambiance inside and if you walk towards the toilet you can also see the bakers at work. It's great that there are still places with so much craftsmanship.

Zodra je binnenstapt waan je je direct 60 jaar terug in de tijd. Zoals je bij opoe binnen liep. Even bestellen bij oma's keuken en daarna kijk je je ogen uit. Om vervolgens te genieten van verschillende heerlijke vers bereide eigen gebakken broodjes. Of een lekker bakkie koffie met een lekker gebakje uit de eigen bakkerij. En natuurlijk kun je niet weg voordat je het winnende branantse worstenbroodje hebt geproeft. Meenemen voor thuis kan natuurlijk ook!

Heerlijke broodjes, croissants en worstebroodjes. Echt een aanrader als je in Heusden bent, gezellig en authentiek.

Volledig onder de indruk van deze fantastische bakkerij / lunchroom. Terug in de tijd qua interieur maar volledig up to date qua brood, gebak en andere deegwaren. Hun saucijzenbroodje met recht nr. 1. Hiervoor komen we graag terug.

Ik kom hier in de ochtend vaak wat drinken en een broodje eten. Ze geven lekker veel thee water en hun broodjes zijn altijd rijkelijk belegd. Heerlijk! En de zaak is leuk ingericht.

Ik kom hier regelmatig voor een ontbijt, maar vandaag voor het eerst een appelflap gegeten.. Dat was meteen veruit de beste ooit in mijn leven. Niet te droog, VEEL appel, volgens mij een vleugje abrikoos. Hoe dan ook de moeite waard. Gewoon eens proeven.

Heerlijk vegan gebak. De beste in Nederland en wij kennen ze allemaal. Ook kun je hier heerlijk vegan lunchen! Bovendien is het een prachtige bakkerij winkel met veel prachtige authentieke oude details, zoals Jugendstil glas in lood ramen, gebrandschilderd glas in deuren, etc. Heel de winkel en lunchroom zijn schitterend en sfeervol ingericht door de eigenares.

Leuke nostalgische plek voor een lunch! Binnen zijn best veel zitplekken. Je kan aan de balie bestellen. Het worstenbroodje was heerlijk, het broodje gezond smaakte redelijk (gebakken uitjes waren erg overheersend qua smaak). Voldoende keus uit drinken, broodjes, gebak etc.

Een knusse, gezellige winkel. Wij hadden een high tea bij Bakkertje Deeg. Het was heerlijk, we hebben genoten.

Wat n leuke maar vooral lekkere bakkerij. Naast de winkel met heerlijk brood en lekkers kun je hier ook heerlijk lunchen. Buiten of binnen. Binnen is het heel leuk ingericht met nostalgische tafels, stoelen en wandversiering. Heerlijke broodjes, alles vers gemaakt. Aanrader!!

Great bakery with a long tradition and tasty salty and sweet products to treat yourself when in Heusden. Pleasant service and a nicely designed "gezellige" lunchroom right next to the bakery to get some sandwiches, ommeletes or sweet desserts. Vegan options available in their new extension but did not go there so have to check next time :-)

Wat een uitstraling en wat een kwaliteit producten. Heerlijk

Hier koop je fantastisch lekkere producten, stokbrood, koekjes, patisserie, broodjes. Altijd zeer lekker deze bakker meer dan een bezoekje waard.

Geen woord van gelogen. Heerlijke worstenbroodjes gehaald en van genoten.

Terug in de tijd, met brood-gebak producten heerlijk van smaak.

Mooie zaak en een gezellig grootmoederstijd inrichting. Heerlijke koffie en vooral de kleine gebakjes erbij.

Hele goede en leuke lunchroom. Je waant je terug in de tijd. Lekkere lunchkaart. We hebben echt genoten van de lunch. Royaal belegde broodjes. Zeer lekker gebak en worstenbroodjes, heerlijk brood. Vriendelijk personeel. We gaan zeker nog een keer terug.
