€23 for one satay stick on a blob of cold red cabbage and a mountain of raw vegetables. We wanted a baguette with herb butter as a starter, but they didn't have it. The fries were incredibly salty. I definitely won't be going there again.

A household name in Amstelveen. Great cocktails, excellent, varied beer menu.

I'm incredibly disappointed with the way I was treated here. I noticed that there's a clear distinction between customers, which is absolutely unacceptable. Everyone should receive the same level of friendliness and service, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. The attitude was unprofessional and made me feel less valuable as a customer. This isn't something you expect when you spend your money somewhere. I hope the company takes this seriously and works towards fair, respectful treatment for all customers. UPDATE RESPONSE: I've been coming to Bar Dixie for years, and yet they've never turned on a heater for us in the winter. Meanwhile, I've often seen other people's heaters come on as soon as they sit down, so when I ask for one, I expect it to be turned on. This was also the first time I've even asked in years of visiting. Two weeks ago, I sat in the freezing cold for two hours. And then I left because they wouldn't turn on the heater. The other tables did have it on. Coincidence? No, I don't think so. We're talking about visits over 100 times. So that's how you treat regular customers. And we rarely stay there longer than two hours because we're doing more fun things then. Or is it the stinginess of the €1 spent? 🤣🤣 The claim that threats were made is completely false. One employee was spoken to, and no one was threatened. Precisely because I've been coming here for so long, this kind of inequality is striking. It's a shame that my valid point is dismissed as inaccurate.

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. The staff seemed disinterested, making the atmosphere anything but welcoming. It took an exceptionally long time for my drink to be served, and throughout the entire visit, service was completely lacking, even a simple "thank you" or "have a nice evening" was never received. The food was also disappointing. The burger I ordered was poor quality, and I even experienced a stomach ache afterward. All in all, this visit was not a pleasant experience for me. There is still much room for improvement in terms of customer service, quality, and customer service.

We always come here for the bullebak, our favorite beer. It's a cozy place with music that's not too loud, so you can have a nice chat. They don't have an extensive menu, but the food is good. Friendly service, though the staff are sometimes inexperienced, but you see that everywhere these days...

Takes really long before you get your drink served. (15-30 minutes) I think someone from the staff was having a bad day and was looking at us grumpy the whole time and was very rude.

Participated in your pub quiz for the first time tonight. Great fun, but the youth looked up the answers on their mobile phones. That's not a fair quiz, I don't understand why this was allowed????

First a bite to eat and then the pub quiz. The food was fine. The service looked messy. Had to wait quite a while for the drinks to arrive. We also had to really try to make eye contact with one of the servers to order new drinks. Also participated in the pub quiz. It was our first time there. We were not aware that the answers had to be given on your mobile phone. Luckily one of us had a charging cable and there was a socket nearby. It might be useful to mention this. We also had a pleasant evening

Smoked chicken sandwich not as expected. The menu says it comes with avocado, but that wasn't included. Instead of that, there was a chemical guacamole on it that dominated the sandwich. That was a shame, we took one bite of the sandwich and indicated it to the waiter, but there was no solution.

Some waiters are really nice and friendly, but a few are quite disrespectful.

It's always fun here! The decor is super nice and creates a nice atmosphere. We enjoyed the cheese fondue, which was tasty. I immediately attacked, so in the photo the dish was already eaten. A vegetarian burger or something else vegetarian on the menu would be a welcome addition. Even though it was busy, the service was correct and friendly.

The burgers, nachos and extensive range of special beer are highly recommended. It is advisable to make a reservation during the weekend, because then it is often busy. The service is top, personal and alert. There are various games for children so that they can also have fun.

Service was terrible, almost no-one in the place but still nobody bothered to ask us if we wanted to order something, only after about 10 minutes someone came after me calling. Same happened when we were there with a group ... beer was okay and that's the only positive I can mention. Don't bother going there

Great tent, easily accessible, nice mixed group of people. You can get a carafe of water without any effort.

We wanted to have a nice drink with my wife and ended up here by chance. Very nice bar with a cozy atmosphere. Luckily there was a free table so we could sit here. Very nice bar with a well varied drinks menu so plenty of choices. Service is good and fast and the drinks were served to the table quickly, even though it was busy. We will definitely come by again for something to drink and a tasty snack. Thanks for the nice evening

I have been coming here for more than 15 years, but it is a shame that after a night out you are no longer allowed to order a beer half an hour before closing.

Laatst gegeten hier .. wat zou ik zeggen super onaardig en rude personeel. Ze roddelen over gasten wat super lelijk is. Alles op elkaar gepropt je kan zo op schoot zitten bij de andere gasten als je naast elkaar zit. De werknemers gaan midden in de zaak zitten op hun laptop straalt ook niet echt netheid uit..het eten veel te rauw ( burger) en hoe het wordt geserveerd ik weet niet wie de chef is , maar het wordt op het bord gegooid en er zit totaal geen liefde in het eten. Al om al ik kom niet meer

In totaal 2,5u gezeten, waarvan we 1,5u moesten wachten op alléén al het voorgerecht. Onze vieze borden werden maar niet weggehaald, geen extra drinken aangeboden, personeel waren meer met elkaar bezig dan dat ze aan het werk waren. Hoofdgerecht duurde enorm lang voordat het geserveerd werd, het vlees was gedeeltelijk nog rauw ook. Hiervoor ook een uur gewacht. Terwijl het enorm rustig was. Wat het meest bizarre van deze avond was dat er een groepje meiden aan het zwaaien was en roepen naar het personeel, om gediend te worden en het personeel hun maar ''niet'' zag... Kortom, ik kom hier niet meer terug. Jammer van zo'n leuke tent.

This was our go to pub for after work beer for decades. (Then the office moved). Still excellent snacks particularly bitterbalen. Good beer selection. Parking is a problem as it is located in the Shadshart so use a parking garage and walk to the center area

Nice environment, good atmosphere. Unfortunately, the Angus burger I was served was very disappointing. The promised caramelized onion was limited to a few almost impossible to find strings, the butter lettuce was 1 small leaf, which was also limp and snotty, and the tomato was a slice of watery tasteless beef tomato. The extra bacon ordered for 3.50 were a few dry slices fried for too long. A generous load of sauce added some flavor to it. The side fries were soft and could have been cooked a little longer. For 22.50 I expected a bit more than an almost plain hamburger with limp fries. Oh, by the way, the cappuccino I got beforehand was almost cold. With a delicious mini stroopwafel. I chose not to report it in advance, because I wanted to keep the atmosphere at the table light, and therefore only reported my disappointment after the meal. The friendly waitress (really) went to pass it on. Then a young man came to the table, to whom I was allowed to tell everything for the second time. This was not well received, because "they are trying very hard", and all my arguments were contradicted. I sincerely hope that my complaint will be addressed as feedback.

What a cool atmosphere and a nice selection of beers and other drinks. Food options for kids too! The special was cheese fondue which was devoured by my son. We had a nice time for a family dinner and appreciate the friendly service. This could be a nice place to catch up with friends. I hear they have a pub quiz too.

We arrived at Bar Dixie with a group of 8 around 00.25 and asked if we could have another drink, to which one of the waitresses gave a very friendly answer and told us that they had just started the last round and that we would definitely have another drink. last drink. Around closing time, at the end, another waitress with a red coat came to our table and very rudely told us that we had to leave because you were closing. While we were leaving, this waitress came to tell us again that we had to leave, even though half of us had already gotten up and we were clearly leaving. A candle was also pulled from one of our hands and held for a while for warmth, really very unfriendly! When someone in our party spoke to her about this unfriendly manner of interaction, the waitress said that we could "deal with her normally." I work in the catering industry myself and am amazed by this young woman's service. I would never treat guests like that myself, I sincerely mean that. I really understand that at some point you want to close up and go home, I have that often enough and I fully understand that, but I would still never be allowed to treat guests like that, she had it very differently can bring. Very unfortunate! There were also other guests on the terrace who were not told to leave, strange... I have nothing to complain about the atmosphere or the service of the other employees (we often come here for lunch or for a drink and I have never had an unpleasant experience otherwise), but this waitress in any case did not positively contribute to the atmosphere of the evening.

Just had a drink after a visit to the theatre. Got a table quickly and the drink was there as well. Checkout also went smoothly despite the hustle and bustle of a Saturday evening.

Bad experience at Bar Dixie We visited Bar Dixie with a group of eight adults and had a disappointing experience. We arrived at 00:20, hoping to have a pleasant evening. However, to our surprise, it was soon made clear to us that the bar would close at 1:00 am. When we wanted to order, we were abruptly turned away with the message that the bar was already closed. The manager used the strange expression of having to "draw a line in the sand" to justify his decision. This felt very unfriendly and unwelcome, especially since we would have liked to stay a while. It is understandable that a bar has closing times, but it would be reasonable to take orders until then. This experience really ruined our evening and we felt unwelcome. Based on this poor service and the unfriendly behavior of the manager, we unfortunately cannot recommend Bar Dixie.

Really nice 'Community' bar! They often have special events, including a monthly pub quiz which we try to join when we can. Last time we got some nachos which were surprisingly good, far above your average bar nachos. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

After months I gave it another chance. Very nice that 'extensive' beer list, but they don't have anything on the menu. Tried three times to order a beer (after waiting 15 minutes), but none of them had it. Unfortunately not the first time this has happened.

Great bar, we were there for a pub quiz and everything was well organised.

Overall happy with Dixie, it's pretty much the only real cafe in the mall that focuses more on drinks and drinks and less on food (my experience). I come here regularly. What I am less satisfied about, and perhaps that is a tip, is that it is quite gray and dark inside. With some more (industrial) lamps you can create more light and space. Until next time.

There were a few dishes that could not be ordered. Nice all the different beers. Angus burger was super tasty. The desserts were a disappointment or not homemade, we think.
