Vanavond met mij zusje wezen eten bij De Locomotief, het is een fantastische avond geweest! Als voorgerecht had ik de kleine surf en turf (carpaccio en gamba’s) en mijn zusje de nacho’s voor 1 persoon dat ze ook vegetarisch konden maken. Als hoofdgerecht had ik de funky burger (heerlijk) en zij mocht de loempia’s van de borrelkaart, daar werd totaal niet moeilijk om gedaan. Naast dat het eten geweldig was, was het personeel ook heel aardig en hing er een aardig sfeertje. Ik kom zeker terug en voor jou zeker een aanrader 😉

Went to dinner at De Locomotief with my sister tonight, it was a fantastic evening! As a starter I had the small surf and turf (carpaccio and prawns) and my sister had the nachos for 1 person that they could also make vegetarian. As a main course I had the funky burger (delicious) and she had the spring rolls from the drinks menu, which was no problem at all. Besides the food being great, the staff was also very nice and there was a nice atmosphere. I will definitely come back and definitely recommend it to you 😉

This afternoon at 3 p.m. we settled on this terrace. When we wanted to place our order, a young boy said that lunch was no longer possible, while according to the menu this could be done until 4 p.m. We were really surprised, we decided to have nachos after all ordered with pulled pork from the drinks menu as well as a snack garnish, unfortunately this came from the air fryer so nothing crispy. It should be clear that we won't be coming here anymore.

This is really my favorite restaurant!!! Nowhere but nowhere else have I eaten spareribs so delicious. I don't need to see the menu, I know what I want. Soooooooo delicious. And the service? Top!! and the atmosphere is very relaxed. If you are in Groesbeek and want to eat delicious food, this is your place. But not all at once because otherwise I have to wait😂😂

We were last here a long time ago and have now made a reservation again. Everyone ordered something different, but you notice that the spareribs are their main course because they tasted good and were nice and tender. Unfortunately, the salmon, pulled pork and satay were very dry and had little flavor. The salad you get is a bowl of onions with some green beans and cucumbers. It was a young team, both in the service and in the kitchen. If you've been sitting inside, you'll still smell of smoke all evening. The prices they charge are the same as "good restaurants", but you can definitely find better options.

Reserved for October 7, 2 p.m. Reception by an unkempt young man with stains on his clothes, who was working alone and waved us indifferently to a table. Although he regularly served at the only customer table next to ours, he literally did not like us. There was no service and yes, you just leave after some time. There is a lot to do here with the organization and especially with customer friendliness. Regarding We obviously cannot judge the quality of the dishes.

Nice meal. Not special but a good piece of meat. It's a pity that nothing was done about the comment on the homemade iced tea (very bitter/chemical taste), while 2 or 3 quarter-full glasses remained. The staff also indicated that they did not like it and said that they had made it themselves!!?? Dessert, coffee with liqueur, scoop of ice cream and whipped cream. My daughter-in-law's ice cream contained 3 pieces of plastic, probably from the container where it was scooped. She didn't eat it anymore. Made a comment about this during checkout. This was dismissed very nonchalantly and with a laugh...."Yes, you don't want that, do you." The cause of the complaint was not investigated and no compensation was offered. Personally, I think that's a bad thing! So no. No repeat of us at this restaurant.

Honestly super good, I’m glad I came unexpectedly. Super good hamburger. Nice atmosphere. The staff is smiling and helpful. I recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

Sat inside for 20 minutes. Had no food. Didn't have a menu. Booked at 4:30 PM. Only a begging waitress at the table who, while she put down the drink, only had eyes for her shouting colleagues on the other side of the counter. And a boy sweeping around our table, who asked in between what we wanted to drink 'by the way'. We went. Shame.

Last Friday we went here for dinner with friends. The food was really good and the price-performance ratio was right. A small downside was the service. They were really friendly, but unfortunately not that attentive, which is why we had to keep asking ourselves when we wanted to order something. We blamed it on the very young team, but we can live with it. The atmosphere is very nice and Dutch creative. We were definitely not here for the last time. :-)

Niet echt een geweldig restaurant. Het opnemen van de bestelling ging in 1e instantie al niet goed. Spareribs waren verkoold; helemaal zwart aan een zijde. In de biefstuk zaten erg veel pezen waardoor moeilijk te snijden en lastig om te eten. Verder worden er andere toetjes geserveerd dan je hebt besteld. Verder erg gehorige zaak en een sterke houtskoollucht hangt er in de zaak. Excuses wordt te makkelijk weggeschoten naar anderen. Kortom, een tegenvallende avond; niet echt geweldig!

Delicious food and a nice and cozy tent. Spare ribs we had were nicely seasoned but a bit dry. Children's menu was fine.

Wij waren, tijdens ons verblijf in Berg en Dal, op zoek naar een goed grill restaurant. Na enig zoeken zijn we bij De Locomotief uitgekomen. Wij werden zeer vriendelijk in dit sfeervolle restaurant ontvangen en geholpen. Binnen rook het naar houtskool, net zoals bij een stoom-locomotief. Het bestelde vlees was zeer goed geroosterd, de bijbehorende gerechten waren ook goed. Het gekozen nagerecht was fantastisch. Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is uitstekend. Wij willen iedereen dit restaurant zeer aanbevelen. Als we weer hier in de buurt zijn dan komen we zeker terug.

What a nice restaurant! Cozy atmosphere and decor, good menu, reasonably priced and very friendly service. The food was good and served quickly. The service was attentive and fast. I enjoyed it and will definitely come back.

The food is excellent, especially the spare ribs, which fall off the bone as soft as butter. The staff are super friendly and speak English and many also understand German. The online reservation was very easy and there is a parking space right on site. The prices are absolutely fair. Highly recommended!

Wat een ontzettend amateuristisch ongeregelde bediening Buiten wordt er niet eens gekeken na je tafel en om te bestellenoet je dus iemand roepen die het binnen te druk heeft met de klanten waren zeker belangrijker? en het wachten op de bestelling was nooit kortter dan 10 minuten de minderjarige onervaren bediening kon het niet aan dus alleen met het laatste rondje wat ze kwamen vertellen waren ze snel en er klaagde meer mensen

We had a family meal a few days ago on our way between Germany and the coast for the last day of our holiday. The food we had was excellent and the staff really looked after us. Easily the best meal I've ever had in the Netherlands and way beyond our expectations. I thought it was expensive before ordering but the quality of the produce and the presentation and size of the portions was in retrospect excellent value for money. Worth booking as it's busy and rightly so.

I eat there often and I like it. You can always have something to complain about, but overall I think it is a nice and cozy restaurant. So you will see me more often.

Due to crowds we had to wait a little longer for our food. In terms of drinks, things went pretty smoothly. Food was good value for money but not great.

Delicious food and unlike previous review, enjoyed the spareribs. Fortunately, the spicy ones are not too spicy but mildly sweet with a little spice. Portion shared because the portion is too big for us. Especially because I'm going for mon chou dessert. Also completely good. Delicious.

Requested a table on the terrace upon reservation, which was neatly arranged. Food was good again. The service was very friendly despite being very busy. She's done something tonight.

We had the tasting. Spicy spareribs were disappointing. There was almost no sauce on it and it couldn't really be called spicy. Hamburger was fried very dry and not tasty. Pulled pork sandwich was tasty. Compared to years ago when we were on holiday there, the food is now quite disappointing. We were enthusiastic at the time, but now it was disappointing.

The quality of the food has deteriorated, which is a shame. The meat of the hamburger sandwich was dry, the sweet spare ribs had a sour taste, the spicy ones were not even a bit spicy and the portions are very meager. If I had to guess it is at most 5/600 grams. I also have the idea that the ribs are only smoked and indirectly cooked and not grilled for the caramelization of the meat. This gives the ribs a fairly 'flat' taste. The meat falls off the ribs, which I always find very tasty, but the taste ensures that we will get our spare ribs elsewhere from now on. Shame!

Food was great but service slow and not attentive. We had to ask them for a new drink order. Service is young and apparently they don't have the task to see if people want to order something in addition to the food. They don't know the wine list either. Maybe we had the wrong expectations too.

Delicious American BBQ and comfort food. The supersize burger was awesome!

Time for lunch, then you can go here. Chose meatloaf and certainly no regrets! Great alternative to the regular "ball sandwich". Service nice, cappuccino tasty, price okay.

Picked up food for 3 people. Spare ribs were tasty, the satay was OK, but not special. The lettuce with the dishes was less impressive: just dry lettuce, without dressing and without taste. The coleslaw that came with the dishes was downright bad: spoiled or very close to that. And I'm not talking about the pulled pork nachos. Scandalous. Ordered without pulled pork due to being vegetarian. Instead of meat, extra vegetables would be added to the nachos. There was indeed no pulled pork, but I couldn't find that vegetable. Just wash a container of nacho chips with a little cheese and a few pieces of spring onion on 2 chips. And also a bowl of taco sauce and creme fraiche. Ridiculous, and that for 10.25.

We were there with 3 people, everything went wrong. 1 person didn't get a drink, the next 1 person got the wrong soup, and lastly they forgot the main course for 1 person. A bit of a shame

Cozy location and friendly employees. We didn't have much time and had to wait a bit for service, etc. The burgers (American and Pork) and the Weizen beers on tap tasted great. We'll definitely be back 👍🏼

We arrived at half past seven on Saturday evening, when the restaurant was completely full, but less than fifteen minutes later everything was empty and there were only dirty tables around us. Service was very friendly, but after we received our main course no one came to our table and they seemed more concerned with themselves. I also asked for a steak M-R, but it was well done and tough. Ultimately we went home without dessert and paid at the bat because no one came. Very unfortunate because we have had many positive recommendations.

Verschrikkelijk lang moeten wachten constant vragen om tafel uit te halen of drinken te bestellen en er waren ma 6 tafels totaal met drie man bediening… bij drukte hebben we zeker altijd begrip maar was nu gewoon echt niet van toepassing

STICK FROM THE WIC! With a charged OV chip card we headed towards De Locomotief. As soon as you enter, your taste buds are tickled by the delicious grill smells. A variety of dishes were reviewed. Burgers, spareribs, snacks, etc. In addition to a cozy setting for dining out, this location also offers a wonderful conversation with your companion(s). Service extremely friendly and even our vegetarian friend was overwhelmed by a delicious steak. Conclusion of the evening: Delicious food, friendly service and don't take a dog on your lap.

Very nice and atmospheric restaurant. Food was delicious, good and certainly enough. Very nice staff. 1 minus point: the spray can of whipped cream with the dessert floated over the plate in no time. There are better ones out there. Definitely a place to go.

This location is crazy expensive for takeout. A small amount of spareribs without a menu costs €21 per person and €21 does not fill a small eater's stomach. They get a 10 for dining there

Second time visiting, delicious BBQ dishes, decent prices. Online reservations also work perfectly. Side dishes are a bit on the meager side. Third time I ate here, this time it was a bit less. Maybe it depends on the day (Tuesday). Carpaccio was very cold and just too thick, difficult to eat and had little taste due to the temperature. I asked for the steak rare to medium rare, but it was more well done and tasted flat.

Had a delicious coffee and lunch. It was very pleasant and the staff were very nice, definitely recommended.

Lekker eten en goede bediening, de mixed grill was op, en toen voor de ribeye steak gekozen.

Bediening zeer vriendelijk en gezellige warme sfeer, het eten ook erg lekker

Heerlijk gegeten, super gezellige avond. Top bediening, super leuke lieve meiden!

Het was een drukke zaterdagmiddag, daardoor duurde het allemaal wat langer. Op zich geen probleem. Kaaskroketten waren lekker, alleen jammer dat er wat minder groenten bij zat. Wel een gezellig zaakje om te zitten en het personeel is ook vriendelijk.

Zou 5 sterren zijn als het ietsjes meer mocht zijn. We waren met 2 personen ruim 90 euro kwijt. Hiervoor hadden we een voorgerecht, hoofdgerecht en nagerecht en alles tot de laatste kruimel opgegeten... dat zegt denk ik genoeg. Het was erg lekker maar het had wel een beetje meer mogen zijn.

Zoals elke keer is alles goed vooral het contact als er toch iets mis gaat.

Op een zomerse dag wezen eten - was er druk en vooral het jonge personeel deed prima werk! En wat oudere dame had misschien wat vrolijker mogen kijken ;) Spareribs (zoet) waren niet echt bijzonder.... Niet voor herhaling vatbaar

Enorm lekker eten. Proeverij van de Locomotief genomen. Zeker een aanrader als je niet kan kiezen tussen de lekkere gerechten. Al het vlees is heerlijk mals zoals het hoort in de juiste proporties. Een goed gevulde buik na een riant dessert is gegarandeerd. We waren met een grote groep en alle gerechten werden keurig tegelijk geserveerd. Zeer vriendelijk en jong personeel. Aan te raden om ook zeker nog eens terug te komen voor een van de vele andere gerechten!

Lekker gegeten in n prima sfeer met leuke bediening....

Super lief persoon waar het niet aan ligt. Helaas het vlees was minder stuk aangebrand en te roze waardoor m’n man ziek geworden is. Zat weinig smaak aan het vlees zelf en heel weinig kreeg m’n man. Super lieve bediening maar voor herhaling vatbaar helaas niet meer, het is niet wat het voor Corona geweest is. Te duur voor een klein stukje vlees en dan er ziek van geworden. De sparibs waren wel goed die ik zelf had.

Sehr leckere Gerichte und ein schönes Ambiente. Töchterchen klagte über Kälte (es war recht windig und wir saßen draußen) die tolle Kellnerin kam sofort mit einer kleiner Decke und hat geholfen. Das Essen war sehr schnell zubereitet und sehr sehr lecker. Absolute Empfehlung! Erg lekkere gerechten en een leuke sfeer. Mijn dochter klaagde over de kou (het waaide behoorlijk en we zaten buiten) en de geweldige serveerster kwam meteen met een dekentje en hielp. Het eten was heel snel klaar en heel erg lekker. Absoluut een aanrader!

Wij waren voor een dagje uit en voor de verjaardag van mijn man naar Groesbeek gekomen vandaag en daarom gekozen om hier te lunchen. Ik had de kipsate en die was heerlijk mals, vlees smolt op tong. Mijn man had de big American burger en hij vond die heerlijk. We hebben gewoon zitten smullen, we aten er onze vingers haast bij op. De bediening was echt zeer vriendelijk. En je krijgt een ruime portie eten voor wat je er voor betaald. Mijn man wilde hier voor zijn verjaardag eten en hij was zeer tevreden. Wanneer we weer in Groesbeek zijn komen we hier heel graag weer terug.

Lekker eten, soms wat verwarring bij de bediening. Kregen vaak dezelfde vragen na wisseling van de wacht. Erg vriendelijk

Goede sfeer, heerlijk buiten op het terras gegeten, eten werd vlot gebracht. Medewerkers mogen best een beetje meer lachen.

Lekker eten. Maar bediening was langzaam en kwamen vaak met de verkeerde dingen. Volgende keer pakken we maar een ander terras.

Prima gegeten! Goede bediening! Met adviezen. Erg leuk! Patat/Friet kun je extra krijgen om verspilling te voorkomen. Terrasje aan de zijkant zorgt ervoor dat je wat verder van de weg bent.
