Amazing bar, slow service but in the end of the day you get your drink. But for next one is a problem.

Good cocktails here with plenty of choice, plus a tasty charcuterie board—what more could you ask for? Highly recommended.

I found it very disappointing. The burger was very small.

Very nice photos on the wall of Spider-Man and Leo Di Capri, among others. In terms of food, they mainly have hamburgers of various types and bar snacks. They do not have vegetarian menu options, unless you only want fries. Unfortunately, the service is not very good and not very communicative. A young guy dropped glasses from his tray three times in an hour. If you ask something, you get no feedback. We were not given cutlery with the food. And eventually, my friend also had drinks spilled on him, but not a word of apology and not even a free cup of coffee. We don't blame the boy for that, as he looked very young and inexperienced, but he should be supervised better. A plus point is the wide selection of cocktails and the large terrace.

I have been living in the center of Roosendaal for a few months now, and within sight, Bar New York is the first place I’ve come across for food and drink. I have now—mid-September, October '25—spent an hour on the bar terrace four times in the evening. For the heavy drinker: compared to the neighboring establishments in that row of bars and restaurants on the Markt, a Heineken beer costs €3.50 at New York versus €3.80 for Hertog Jan, Stella Artois, and Amstel beer at the "rest." Whiskey is also more reasonably priced. Furthermore, I ordered a simple toasted sandwich there one time on a quiet weekday Wednesday evening (it is R'daal, after all). Unfortunately, the friendly waitress returned with the news that the ham was sold out. My choice to go for 'double cheese' instead was no problem. She then came back with a big smile (discomfort, annoyed...?) on her face, because it turned out the bread was sold out too. Her hearty laugh made up for a lot, and I decided to order a portion of bitterballen. ...I had to wait a bit, because the frying oil still needed to heat up. Eventually, I asked for half of the bitterballen to take home as a "doggy bag" without any issues. I actually wanted to watch some TV at home, and the heater on the terrace only provided moderate warmth on this somewhat colder autumn evening. ...Later that evening, I read on the Bar New York website that, in addition to the mustard served, mayo was actually listed with the bitterballen as well. Personally, this wasn't much of a problem for me, but it is something to keep in mind: that what is on the menu is actually served. Just like napkins... (which turned out to be a recurring issue, haha). The bitterballen were good, by the way. A deep-fried snack shouldn't go wrong, after all. That time, before leaving, I did have a chat with the waitress about what kind of venue it was and what kind of music was being played in New York. Answer: 'During the weekends, with urban music, dance, and DJs, it is mainly aimed at a somewhat younger crowd. But people your age come too, mind you,' was emphasized kindly, almost apologetically—this middle-aged man had to laugh inwardly. During the week, pop music is played up to Festival Hollandia. The latter isn't my thing. No problem. I know where I'll be sitting. The next time, I was there fairly early on a Thursday evening. It was a bit busier (inside?) with about eight guests on the immediate bar terrace, and alongside a beer, I also ordered two Italian oven rolls with the 'spreads' aioli and red pesto. Price €5.50. Serving took a while. The oven had to heat up. Both spreads were sufficient. The infrared patio heater, directly above my head, was glowing merrily away this time, by the way, for the slightly larger number of visitors and the smokers who came outside in between. The next day I even had a dry scalp, haha ​​(one heater simply turns out to radiate significantly hotter—a later recommendation from the waitress ;). Furthermore, I previously saw a large group of ladies holding a fun cocktail tasting right next to me for a birthday celebration. I also had male customers sitting next to me enjoying the Bar New York cocktails. Those guys were advising each other and some girls at another table that they tasted good. This bar advertises food and drink tastings on their website—great for a party. As for listening to a live band or artist... recently, however, I have only done that further down the road at 'de Sjoes' (blues/southern folk rock etc.) and 'de Kompaen'. At the latter, it was an informal jam session. So, I cannot judge the quality regarding 'who, what, or when' performs at Bar New York. So, just check their website yourself to see if there is something for you and go listen. ...4.5 stars. Friendly service and a nice landlord.

Never been treated so shamefully anywhere. They don't even deserve one star.

Recently hung out with my girlfriends at Bar New York in Roosendaal for a cocktail night; it's really one of those places where you immediately get into the atmosphere and the cocktails are just dangerously good 🙈. We went out for a night out the week after, and unlike other places around here, Bar New York actually has DJs who really know how to make a night rock. Love it!

Food is good, cocktails are absolutely great.. Never had any complaints about the service, this is always good too!!

I was waring for ice tea 45 minutes and then I resign because we needed to go.

Extremely bad service! We only received the food after an hour of waiting. It didn't come to everyone at the same time, several orders were wrong and then we had to wait a long time until we got the right one and some of the food was cold! Checkout also took at least 15 minutes! I'm never going here again!

Nice place, Service can be better !!! Asked for snacks and i was told the kithen was closed, some other customers came about 30 minutes later and were allowed to order snacks. Will visit again, see if they improve... DJ played good music 🤙🤙🤙

I ordered 4 shots here while going out. I had to pay a whopping €23 for this. I find this a bizarre price that can't be right. This seems like taking advantage of people in a drunken state. Only and last time for me.

Honestly, I don’t leave reviews, even if something doesn’t taste great, but unfortunately, this was the worst burger I’ve ever had in my life… On top of that, I specifically asked for water and made it clear that I wanted to take it with me, so it shouldn’t be opened. Despite this, the waitress opened it and then told me I couldn’t take it because it was in a glass bottle 🤓 A very disappointing place.

I was treated disrespectfully by a grumpy employee who was hopping around! He didn't seem to be interested in his work. He slammed the thank-you notes I ordered down on the bar; it looked like he'd rather throw them in my face! I'll be skipping this one from now on. Other places in Roosendaal are definitely recommended, but Bar New York is a no-go for me!!!!

Had a wonderful cocktail evening with my friends. The appetizers were delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming!

The waitresses were unpleasant, did not even respond to hello. When bringing drinks they did not even look at us, just turned on their heels. Drinks are ok, but the waiting time is way too long and the service is not worth the price. Only two ladies did anything, the rest looked offended that they had to serve customers at all.

Security very intimidating and very anti-social security guard was full of intimidating while I just wanted to have a drink on a Saturday evening, not recommended to go there in the evening with friends, thanks to (Pascal) from the “security” who has to take care of it that you feel safe there and nothing happens. Nowadays they can just use their hands, but not with me anymore😜

High beer staat omschreven met mini pizza's, mini burgers en nachos. Geen pizza gezien, brood met een smeerseltje. De mini burger was een kwart... Erg karig voor de prijs. Bediening erg onervaren. Geen aanrader.

Leuke frisse tent, aardig personeel. Ik had een vega broodje besteld, die kreeg ik na 70 minuten met ham en haar erop. Gelukkig snel opgelost maar wel slordig.
