Avoid this place. Response to the owner: Thank you for your response, but several of your claims are factually incorrect and I'd like to address them directly. Your staff did not attempt to resolve the situation in good faith. When I reported that a shot had been taken from my order without permission, your bartender initially told me that once the tray was placed on the bar, it was no longer her responsibility. She did eventually speak to the other guests, but her position was that whether they chose to reimburse me was entirely up to them and would be "a nice thing to do." A nice thing to do. After they stole from me. At no point did she take a clear stance, offer a replacement, or treat what happened as the straightforward theft it was. We were never asked to leave. We spent the overwhelming majority of the evening outside, with only one or two of us entering the bar at a time to try, repeatedly, to resolve things through conversation. We did not enter any non-public areas. This claim is simply untrue. What actually happened is that another group of guests stole from us, refused to apologise, and became increasingly aggressive, including shouting and making obscene gestures inside the bar. The confrontational exchange that followed happened outside the bar, after that group left, and was a direct consequence of feeling completely unsupported all evening. I understand that as an owner you want to protect your business and your staff. But publishing a response that misrepresents events and shifts blame onto the victim of a theft is not the way to do it.

We came in the bar and ordered a round of shots for our friends (outside) and this older looking woman sitting at the bar reached out and downed one of our shots?! Was a bit shocked at the audacity. We then came back to talk to her and asked her to buy us back the shot and that it wasn't cool. Her and her girlfriends really escalated the situation and started flipping us off, yelling and acting like we were the ones in the wrong. Over one shot mind you (maybe they're broke lol) but it's about the principle of it all. The worst part was the bartender somehow felt the need to side with those women... Really disappointed at that. It's one thing to not participate and remain neutral, but to see us getting our drinks STOLEN and getting HARASSED, and still siding with those women? Kinda disgusting behaviour from all parties. Not a bar I will be coming back. But hey, if you are someone who likes to freeload and take rando's shots, this is the bar for you!!!! <3 Edit: Since the bar decided to reply, firstly whoever is in charge of answering the Google Reviews need to get their facts straight 😂 We did not get kicked out of the bar. Secondly, I think it’s really telling that once again, we’re being villainized and the bar not only is not apologizing or admitting their fault in escalating the situation, but is essentially victim blaming. Surprise surprise. Also your bartender was not de-escalating the situation btw, she was adding fuel to the fire. The amount of negative reviews on the poor service of the staff speaks for itself. Anyways, maybe instead of replying to these reviews, invest more time in training your employees and the proper protocol next time some lady tries to get all cute and steal other people’s drinks. Quick refresher, stealing is not OK! Also to whoever crafted this message, "This has now resulted in them leaving negative reviews as a group." Well, lets see why... Because we were a group no..? Who all were paying customers no..? Who all were treated not nicely and left the bar feeling very unjust with the situation no...? So we are all allowed to leave a review no...? Wouldn't you agree? Strange response! Even stranger bar! Keep up the great service attitude guys!!!!!!

Very rude, absent minded and unfriendly staff. Spent 10 minutes waiting to order a beer while staff chatted amongst themselves and fiddled on their phones. (The bar wasnt even full) Frankly, the entire interaction was staff was depressing

It’s a really nice place, but the service is very poor. The waitress seems annoyed by everything and even makes you feel ashamed if you order tea, for example.

The bar is so nice! Good vibes and good DJ, however, the lady behind the bar (black hair) is so rude, really unwelcoming. One other waitress was also not nice. The guys and their other girl who came later were very nice!

Wow, you can't feel welcome...on a Tuesday night, I thought, "Great, I'll go get a drink somewhere." I saw Bar Theo was still open, so I went there. What a grumpy woman behind the bar. She was cold, irritable, and curt. No, not a good sign for this bar! I couldn't crack a smile.

When I went to order , they had only olives as snack . Menu was small so I’m not sure how it’s possible to not have availability on all your food . Besides that everything was nice .

A very cool place for some drinks. They had good music and although we didn't try the house cocktails, they looked very delicious. Without a doubt we want to return 🕺

The French bartender is as tender as the bar! We are in the months of love and rain, so I can only recommend having a Pisco Sour, a good read and sitting on their leather couch. The space is filled with a subtle scent of whale sperm which though, totally complements the ambiance. All in all, it's a complete experience—a perfect place for dates during the week and loads of beer on the weekend.

Lit my hair on fire here, and the bartenders saved my life. Thank you! The beer here is awesome. Really liked the Elegast sour. Yummm city. Careful of the candles here tho if you have long hair.

The place is great but the staff is extremely rude. One barman called us stupids because we didn’t see him coming with glasses. And another one pushed me away in a violent manner.

Spaghetti top twink behind the bar needs to learn how to draught a beer and how to communicate. Maybe take a page out of the french bar lady’s book as she was a dream the previous time I came but would not return after this arrogant attitude from this insecure boy with bad gen z style

Cool bar with a relaxed atmosphere. Order directly at the bar - delivery is made to the table. Extensive selection - but hardly any snacks.

Meh. As a bartender I am not a huge fan of other "bartenders" telling me they don't drink most of the drinks sold at the bar and so cannot make recommendations except "conceptually". The drinks were fine. The service was also fine. The music was loud for the sake of being loud at 5 PM I thought. But no, when the music cut off for no particular reason we realised that it was just to cover the barely-dimmer street noise.

We had an amazing night. The staff was extremely welcoming. We were just walking by looking for somewhere to stop, when we walked in. And I'm so glad we did ! We had so much fun ! If you're looking for something to take you out of the typical tourist experience, rush to this bar ! Again, thanks for the memories.

I'm giving 3 stars because the cocktails are not well balanced and overpriced. We got margaritas served with the glass being half full and the aperol spritz was flat. Other than that the place is great.

Spent news year’s eve here. A great vibe - the DJs were excellent! A perfect blend of cozy wine bar that transforms into the turn up. I hope to be back soon!

Nous avons passé la soirée dans ce bar avec une petite ambiance sympathique et un serveur au top ! Il nous a fait des mojitos et s'il manquait quelque chose il complétait sans problème. Très bonne soirée !

Really liked the atmosphere in Bar Theo for a good value meal and a drink. They had orange wine, and a great selection of beers on tap. The food was so tasty and had deep flavors. I really liked the roll it yourself dish. Fresh herbs, all kinds of vegan fillings. I loved the eggplant dish. Dont forget the dumplings for a starter in a rich sauce. Avocado mousse and vegan ice cream for dessert, mjammie
