A culinary surprise in Valkenswaard. What a wonderful experience at this charming family-run restaurant. The risotto and mussels were truly delicious, and the wine list offered plenty of choices – we sampled seven different bottles, and every one was delicious. The friendly service added to the pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates good food and hospitality. This is also the perfect place for a Friday afternoon drink or a fun night out on the weekend!

At the recommendation of friends, we tried the new menu. The food was truly fantastic! We had delicious carpaccio and risotto with tenderloin and truffle jus. The service was great and the terrace was lovely. We'll definitely be back soon!

The new menu is highly recommended: surprising dishes, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. From appetizers to main courses, everything is perfect. Today, after hearing so many good things about the price-quality ratio, we went out for dinner with friends and kids. There was plenty of room, but before we even sat down, we were told we weren't allowed to order 11 different dishes, especially not the kids! The tone of voice was anything but hospitable! If the kitchen can't handle that, as we were told, then you don't have a good menu. We felt completely unwelcome. We spent our money elsewhere!

Went on Monday evening. The waiter is friendly but working on his own and service was slow. Ginger tea was not the best.

Not my first time in Valkenswaard, but my first time staying overnight, so I looked for a restaurant, of which there are plenty in the market square. I ended up on the terrace of Barcode. I started with an excellent IPA and then had dinner. The tataki was very surprising. I then had the chef's salad and the scropino for dessert. An espresso with a sambuca rounded it all off. In short, a very tasty meal at a very reasonable price. Finally, a chef who doesn't drown a salad in all sorts of sauces and such. Well, and the tataki was so surprising that I could only photograph an empty plate. Incidentally, the service is pleasant, quick with a slight nonchalance. If I may make a comment? A light toasting of the bread with the salad would have been very nice. But the scropino made up for a lot.

Last week, the four of us had a wonderful meal. We'd heard a lot of positive things about the kitchen lately. New chef and new menu. We truly had a wonderful meal. We chose two sets of four appetizers and shared them. The beef tataki, shrimp in red sauce, and chicken gyoza were our favorites, but everything else was delicious as well. The terrace was pleasantly packed with diners. The café and conservatory now have nice seating, and the restrooms have been renovated. We'll definitely be back!

Food was served at different times. The sandwich looked like it was from yesterday and had been reheated, so it was very tough. The girl who tied her work shirt halfway was very unprofessional. I also politely asked a woman at the table what kind of product it was, and was given a very rude remark that I shouldn't eat it if I didn't know what it was. She couldn't explain it to me and gave me the wrong explanation when I looked it up, thinking, "Just say you don't know."

Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time for the Spanish balls.. and they were not even tasty and way too overcooked.. the Gin tonic and carpaccio were extremely tasty.. bread was not as it should be.. the young girls did their best to bring everything neatly but the kitchen did drop a few stitches.. d

Slechte zaak 45 minuten wachten op eten vergeten drinken te geven uiterst slecht, mensen lopen gewoon weg, omdat ze zelfs eten afwijzen.

Coffee on the terrace is perfect. But if you go to the men's restroom, you'll be shocked by a smelly urinal and, worst of all, nothing to dry your hands with after washing.

Very tasty food, new menu and chef are a success. Due to illness, there were few staff, so it took a little longer, but it was not disruptive, we could dine for a long time. Had calamari, prawns, risotto and ribeye, all very good.

Incredibly delicious food and delicious wine! As a starter we had scallops and prawns which were delicious and for the main the spare ribs that fell off the bone and a delicious truffle risotto with tenderloin, excellent!

Op donderdag 11 juli hebben mijn vriend en ik hier gegeten. Wij kwamen vanuit Luxemburg en besloten om in Valkenswaard wat te gaan eten. De bediening was leuk. Oprechte belangstelling van de ober. Even kletsen. Hij vertelde dat zij een nieuwe kaart hadden. Ik bestelde de coquilles en wat waren die heerlijk!!!! Echt een aanrader! They have made a fresh start with a completely new menu and a new chef. Surprising dishes with fresh ingredients, friendly service and reasonable prices. And if you sit on the terrace in the sun on Thursday market day... enjoy!

Heerlijk gegeten, onze kleindochter had een hamburger besteld. Ze vond deze de lekkerste die ze ooit had gegeten! Hij was heerlijk sappig , de porties waren ook best groot.

Food is okay but not very special. When paying, indicate that you have a restaurant gift card, which the gentleman did not allow us to hand in because they did not do that. Went during the Ascension Fair. It was incredibly busy, so it made sense that a separate card was made. Unfortunately, at half past four, only appetizers could be ordered. All the sandwiches and burgers were already gone.

Lekker geluncht bij een heerlijk zonnetje. Op tafel hadden wij staan de piandina, broodje avocado, broodje zalm en de uitsmijter. Al deze gerechten waren erg lekker en goed verzorgd. Zeker een aanrader om terug te komen. Tip: kom op donderdag overdag of zaterdag avond, dan is er voor het oog ook zeker nog iets leuks, in de bediening te zien.

Heerlijke lunch gehad. Broodje avocado. Erg lekker. Heerlijk in de zon gezeten.
