Barista Café Zoetermeer in Centrum

When ordering French toast for over €10, I literally received 1 slice of brown bread. Sweet staff, good atmosphere, but ridiculous. I was also lied to because the staff didn't know the menu, without asking first.

We ate at Barista Café today. It was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly. If we're ever in this area again, we'll definitely come back.

Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience at Barista Cafe in Zoetermeer. We had ordered a speculoos cheesecake and an Egg Benedict sandwich. We found a hair in both dishes. That is, of course, already very unappetizing and disappointing. My girlfriend then decided to order another cheesecake anyway. Unfortunately, we found a hair in that one as well. We understand that something can go wrong once. But finding hairs in multiple dishes, and even finding a hair again after a new order, is truly unacceptable to us. This raises serious questions for us regarding hygiene and the way food is prepared and inspected. We also spoke to the ladies in the kitchen about this. They were all wearing their hair loosely tied back in a ponytail, which clearly allowed hairs to come loose. We therefore find it very strange that apparently insufficient attention is paid to this. In the hospitality industry, it is mandatory to dispose of hair hygienically in accordance with the applicable Hygiene Code and HACCP guidelines. You must never wear your hair loose when working with food. A tight bun, a braid without loose hairs, or a hairnet is the appropriate solution. A very disappointing experience.

The coffee is bitter. They should use a different brand of coffee beans. The service is excellent.

Really cute place for breakfast. Had a wonderful time. Will definitely recommend to go if you are in Zoetermeer.

We have been coming to Barista for several years now, with friends, family, and/or our child: it is always a hit. The staff is incredibly friendly; sometimes they are a bit understaffed, but they always apologize for it. The blended ice coffee is my favorite, but if you have a sweet tooth, the caramelino is highly recommended. Additionally, the club sandwich is the ultimate lunch; if you like it spicy, order the bao buns with rendang!

Apparently I hadn't left a review yet. Really great! Lovely atmosphere and reasonably quiet, and incredibly tasty Latte macchiato and delicious apple pie with whipped cream! Really great! And super delicious. Don't go there on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Those are definitely the busiest days. Update June 17, 2026: unfortunately busy every day now!

With the name Barrista, you surely expect at least top-quality coffee. I ordered black coffee. I received an americano. That is something else entirely. That was a weak imitation of what I understand by coffee. No crema, no taste, no flavor. In response, I was told, "Would you like a shot of espresso in it instead?" No, I wanted black coffee. Never mind, thank you.

They have really incredibly tasty things, and the service is generally always quick and helpful. Furthermore, it is a really nice place with delicious food. I come here regularly; the eggs benedict, in particular, is a real treat with delicious chili oil!

Delicious breakfast. Yogurt with fresh fruit. A scone with jam and clotted cream and a roll with avocado spread and an egg. Fresh orange juice and a cappuccino.

It is a shame that dogs are allowed inside. It is nice to eat there, but unfortunately for me, I won't be going again because of the dogs. It isn't very big, so you can't ignore the dogs either. Animals don't belong in a dining establishment.

We stop by here every week for breakfast, coffee, or lunch. The staff is well-trained, the food and drinks are delicious and served with care. I can't imagine a nicer place.

Our friends took us for breakfast in Barista Café. Really nice atmosphere and decoration. Friendly people, excellent service. The food was amazing!! To the point that i didn't take a photo..The coffee was very nice as well. I will definitely go back everytime I visit Zoe termer and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

A great lunch spot! The food is delicious, and the variety of drinks is also recommended. The atmosphere in the greenhouse is very cozy, with comfortable seating and blankets. In colder weather, the heaters are also on for extra comfort. The stamp card is a nice touch because you can "earn" a free drink. The only downside is that you can't make a reservation, so you might have to wait a bit for a spot.

Had a lovely breakfast with my children and my girlfriend. We received a warm welcome and were immediately recommended a nice table right near the kids' corner. It's great that they have such a corner for children. For the kids, I ordered a babyccino. It was presented in a super cute way with gingerbread cookies, marshmallows, and a cheerful little figure in the milk foam. I also ordered French toast for the children (to share), and this was neatly served on a separate plate for each child — how nice! Where do you still see that? I had the carpaccio sandwich myself, which was of excellent quality. The staff was very friendly and came by regularly to ask if everything was to our liking. I will definitely be back here. Today I ordered a Club sandwich and a carpaccio sandwich at Barista in Zoetermeer. The carpaccio sandwich had been transformed into a sort of carpaccio club sandwich. However, the carpaccio sandwich was completely drenched in pesto. The same applies to the club sandwich. You could actually say it was pesto with a club sandwich or pesto with a carpaccio sandwich. Incidentally, the chicken on the club sandwich was also ice cold. I had pointed this out as well. Our criticism was accepted, but unfortunately, it didn't reduce the price, even though we really didn't enjoy the meal. We were told that an order had been given from head office to adjust the menu. Unfortunately, this does come at the expense of the quality of the food. Previously, the carpaccio sandwich was actually very tasty. And the sauces were served separately so you could portion them yourself. I do think that, even though I asked questions about the menu when ordering, the staff could have indicated (at least regarding the carpaccio sandwich) that changes had been made. We were both nauseous all day with stomach issues. It is not that we want to write this restaurant off, but it just really wasn't good.

I don’t usually leave reviews for restaurants, but after eating here today I had to. The food was absolutely delicious—easily a 10/10! The only downside for me was that there weren’t any halal options, which I would have really appreciated. Still, I’ll definitely be coming back more often

Awesome. If this ever goes away, I'll be truly disappointed. The coffee at this cafe is, as far as I know, the only good specialty coffee in Zoetermeer. I'm a coffee enthusiast myself, and this is the only place I dare order espresso. They also have some really tasty lunch items; we love the (luxury) pancakes. And the best part? The prices are really reasonable. I only tip here, because anywhere else I'd have a heart attack when I had to pay.

I definitely recommend it, and it's right here in Zoetermeer, in the city. Always nice to stroll over there for a bit. It's a nice place to sit and relax, and the staff is very friendly. In short, a great place to pop in every now and then. ☀️😍

Ridiculous! I came here with family for a cup of coffee. Less than five minutes after the coffee was brought, the table was already cleared. It wasn't busy, so I don't understand why they wanted us out quickly. Then two employees started gossiping about us in front of us (whispering and looking in our direction). I used to really enjoy coming here, but this is the last time.

This café is more of a cozy living room than a café. It's so cozy. Very hygienic. The staff is super friendly, and the menu changes often enough to keep things interesting. I'll definitely be back.

Nice Café with good food, good service and a cozy atmosphere. It is a bit on the expensive side, you often spend around 20 euros for a simple sandwich and a drink. This is unfortunately also the case with many other cafés. With a family of 4 you quickly spend between 80-100 euros for a lunch. But apart from that, nice and fun place to have a nice lunch.

Iced strawberry matcha. When I asked if you sold it and the answer was "Yes" I was super happy and also only €5. What followed...... I am still speechless. I was literally outside again within 1.5 minutes with in my opinion the WORST iced matcha ever!! 1. So much matcha went in that I wondered ok what quality matcha do they use here. 2. The matcha was scooped up with a large iron/aluminum spoon. Rule 1 DO NOT use IRON/ALUMINUM. 3. The matcha was tossed for two seconds with a FORK again made of iron/aluminum. 4. The matcha was lukewarm/warm and cloudy 5. The matcha tasted like it was made.... Loveless!

I hardly ever write reviews, who thinks about that these days? But if the service is this good, you will think about it! What lovely people work here and that's why I love coming here, that's for sure! The food is always great and there is always a place to have lunch alone and study. Fantastic!

Delicious coffee with goodies, small downside I took a scone and then you have to wait longer, tip wait a while with the rest and report this in advance, it's nice that everyone gets it at the same time

The cappuccino here is very good (love it) and the hot chocolate with whipped cream is a treat. They are not economical with the whipped cream ❤️ The only disadvantage is that it can get very warm inside because of all the glass and I don't think anything can be opened? And it was just too cold for the terrace. But that's the only thing. Lovely people work there. Keep it up 🫶🏼

Super fun and tasty Barista! Comes here regularly and enjoys it every time. Nice employees, tasty dishes and a great atmosphere! Conversations can be had and the children's corner provides a nice place for everyone.

I missed you :) --------- I come there very regularly, often weekly, and am normally very satisfied. Today I wasn't allowed to sit at the only free table by myself. Was for 4 people and I was alone. The two people who came in after me were allowed to sit there. "You understand that, right?" uhm well no. Because you think you can earn more in the short term? Maybe I just spend more than these 2 people. Or they never come and I come every week. So yeah, missed opportunity. I won't be coming anymore for the time being.

Barista Café Zoetermeer offers a wonderful lunch experience with tasty food that is beautifully presented. The staff is friendly, fast and attentive, always willing to help. It's a plus that plant-based milk is free, and the cafe also offers some vegan lunch options, although there could be more of them. Definitely recommended for a nice lunch!

Nice tent! They also have a covered and heated terrace, so you can also sit 'inside' during the winter months. They offer many coffee varieties and the staff is friendly and hospitable. I had lunch here. There isn't a lot of choice, but what there is is very tasty and beautifully presented. The prices are also okay, lunch dishes between €10 and €13. Highly recommended! :)

Great spot. Cozy and good food.

This place can get crowded, and the personnel is not really friendly. We went as a family, and upon we entered the cafe with the stroller, the lady, when she saw us heading to a table, she sent us to a coach on the other side instead, only to see that another family was taking the coach at that moment. When we turned to the lady, she had disappeared as she had more important things to do, and meanwhile other persons had take the last tables, so we had not a table to sit, and we had to go elsewhere. There are many other options in Zoetermeer Centrum, and the last one needs is to meet with arrogant personnel.

Everything is good here. Very nice staff, delicious food, everything is good. Drinks are made perfectly. The atmosphere is good and the location is nice. Those cookies you get with coffee are delicious. You get delicious hot chocolate here and if you add whipped cream you can hardly eat it anymore. My most favorite dish here is the club sandwich. I really like the pesto sauce that comes with it. Highly recommended! You can also pick up sandwiches there.

Where do I start? Food the food is really very good, the pancakes are a 10/10, you really get value for your money, and the pancakes themselves are incredibly tasty. The avocado sandwich oh my god so delicious. Service: When it's busy and it's still early, they are always positive and help you choose. You never hear a negative or gloomy tone. Atmosphere: Yes, it has such a warm and cozy feeling, recommended for cold and rainy weather

I had an iced matcha with oat milk to go. As you can see in the photo, the matcha was not mixed well and there were lumps in it and it was also very sweet. Furthermore, there is a nice cafe with friendly service.
