The food was delicious and the service was very nice ❤️

We had a great experience at BBQ & Grill Hoorn. Even though it was hot outside, inside the airco kept us cool and protected from the blazing grill. The venue is spacious and has a very cozy atmosphere. The buffet included a wide variety of meat cuts ranging from Beef to chicken, to pork and assorted fish and shellfish and soups. All kinds of sauces both sweet and spicy adorn a shelf above the buffet. Sided by a salad bar. Whwn your done grilling there's a dessert area with pie, assorted ice cream, cookies and cakes for those with a sweet tooth! We did the All (drinks) included arrangement. This also included a very generous appetizer of a bread plank with thin cold meat slices, a whole bread, dip sauces, carpaccio. The hosts, father and daughter, were super friendly, and great sports listening to our ramblings. I highly recommend BBQ & Grill Hoorn for meatlovers and a laid back experience.

We had a delicious barbecue here. There was an abundance of meat, a wide variety of choices, and excellent quality. We were here on June 27th with 4 people. Nice owner and good service. If you want to eat well at a reasonable price, BBQ & Grill in Hoorn is highly recommended. We will definitely be back.

Just had dinner here as a couple. A pleasant entrance, nice waitresses, but the food was far below our expectations. It was a huge shock when one of us found a piece of hard, sharp plastic between the meat on the skewer. Our appetite was ruined! Nothing was done about our complaint. So we moved on to dessert. Everything seemed stale; the cherries were disgusting and so was the chocolate ice cream. We won't be going back!!!

Unfortunately, our visit was very disappointing. We were told "no" a lot, and when we finally chose a drink, it turned out to be sold out after just two orders. The food was also disappointing. The meat tasted very bland, and the chicken in particular lacked flavor and did not taste as you would expect. Additionally, it was not indicated anywhere exactly what meat was in the trays. Unfortunately, the staff could not give a clear answer to this either, as they themselves did not know what was being served. Furthermore, the griddle on the table became very dirty and black after only a short time due to burnt food. As a result, you are essentially preparing new meat in burnt residue, which does not come across as appetizing or hygienic. For a business that has been open for quite some time, in our opinion, there are still many areas for improvement regarding organization, product knowledge, and quality.

We had dinner with two people yesterday. The atmosphere is like a living room or an old-fashioned restaurant. The buffet was very extensive and had good meat and fish. Something for everyone. The service was excellent. We had a delicious meal and will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful meal here, and it was so cozy with the built-in BBQ in the middle of the table. Deliciously tender meat and fish, a wide selection of sauces, a salad bar, baked potato fries, carpaccio, etc., a large bread board with crispy baguettes, cheeses, and various cold cuts. A real 10! And then there's the dessert buffet with delicious iced coffee and various treats. If you want to make a crepe, no problem. This restaurant is highly recommended with super friendly service. A successful Christmas Day for us 👍🎄😋

We had a delicious meal yesterday. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere. Delicious, varied, fresh salads and tender meats. A wide selection, even with various steaks, beef, and pork, and delicious, tender marinated chicken. And all for the special price of 25 euros. Everything was unlimited, with soup and fresh fries, which were also delicious. The bread platter with various tapas beforehand was a great start to a pleasant evening. Definitely recommended and worth repeating.

What a chilly atmosphere here. And the food is so tasteless and disgusting. Beef that was white? I haven't eaten this bad in a long time... I got home and my dog's dog food looked tastier. Plus, the truffle mayo was 20 days out of date...

Today we ate here with our family on the advice of friends. We had a delicious meal and good service! We are very satisfied. Possibly a tip... Some wet wipes on the table. This is because of making skewers for the BBQ. You can get dirty fingers from the marinade etc. With a napkin you can't get everything off. We will definitely come back!

A nice BBQ & Grill with enough meat to grill and plenty of sauce choice

Had dinner here last night with my boyfriend and our mothers to end a day out on a pleasant note. The reception by the employee was good, she provided explanations and was customer-friendly. The plank with baguette and cold meats that you get in advance was tasty. Then had the soup, which was quite tasteless, but with some Maggi and pepper in it it was fine. What followed next... I'm still bad about it, both physically and in terms of the feeling we got from it! There are all kinds of small containers with pieces of meat in the display case, but there is no indication of what type of meat it is or what type of marinade it contains. Many types of meat were also quite unrecognizable, so sometimes you didn't know what you were eating. With a number of types of meat I saw that the meat did not look healthy, for example I saw that the meat of the hamburger turned greenish despite the fact that it had a marinade on it & the lamb skewers were also greenish. I thought I could keep it safe by frying bacon, but after it was cooked it gave off a rotten smell. Tasted a piece of my friend's beef but it also had a very strange taste. And had a few bites of pork chop, but it wasn't good either. I didn't dare to eat the sausage I had fried anymore and I stopped after a few bites. We left very quickly (the table that arrived just before us also left very quickly because they didn't like it so it was really not the 4 of us) because both the flavors and the quality of the meat were far below par. This was also indicated so that we did not have to pay for the drinks, but oh what a bad feeling we were left with. We were only there for a short time so it would have been better to let us pay for the drinks and just waive the cost of the food!!! To make the party complete, I ended up with food poisoning and the toilet was my best friend last night!!! We saw so many positive reactions about this place so we went there full of expectations, but no, this was once but never again!!!

Never had such a bad meal in my life, some meat dishes smelled strange, as if they had possibly been spoiled and the strange marinade was not good either, not recommended, the girl in the service did her best, and the tapas beforehand was ok, but there is little that can go wrong with that.

In eerste instantie een leuk concept, helaas was het echt niet te eten. Al het vlees smaakte zoetig en was knal rose, speklapjes rooken zuur achtig. Er waren verschillende gemarineerde kip filetjes, helaas smaakte ze allemaal redelijk het zelfde en jah, ook zoetig.... Absoluut geen aanrader, blijf er ver van uit de buurt.

After joining us, the working method is explained in detail and you can grab and prepare your own food. There is more than enough to choose from. It is also very nice that a loaf of bread is served in advance with different toppings. Friendly employees, service seemed a bit inexperienced. Otherwise great!

Last minute reservations online for a Friday evening. We had a delicious meal here and it was a nice experience! You will have plenty of time to enjoy the buffet in peace. There is a wide choice, something for everyone. The service was also good. I can only recommend that you give it a try.

If you want to have a nice barbecue, this restaurant is an excellent choice. The range of meat is actually no longer normal and there is a lot, but too much to mention. Chicken pieces to chicken satay, marinated but also plain. Steak, pork medallions, shaslick, burgers with or without bacon and much more. There is also a piece of salmon or some shrimp. 2 types of soup, and salads and the like are plentiful. You can choose your next course from a buffet, on the BBQ, or make your own skewers and roast them. The service is very friendly and the host is also friendly and radiates that he is proud of his restaurant, and that is certainly right. Moreover, friendly prices are charged, which is of course always nice. We will definitely come here more often. Thank you!

I haven't eaten this bad in a long time. After the "information" from one of the young waitresses, I tried to fry some meat, but my phone gets even hotter on a summer day. The end result is that your meat is dry by the time it is done. Drinking takes a long time, or it doesn't happen. The buffet is, uhm, uniquely decorated. If you like sauce, you've come to the right place, at least 20 unrefrigerated sauces are beautifully displayed above the buffet, where you can guess for yourself what it is. The offer is very cheap, it will probably feel very recognizable if you go gourmet at the campsite or something.

Went here for dinner with the 5 of us, you have no idea what you are eating, the meat was not well seasoned, the salmon just came out of the freezer, so cold and hard, and in the end we all suffered from intestinal problems the next day... Once and never again...

Tight to maneuver between tables to get to buffet again and again. Too many rules such as sauces are not allowed in a container because of waste, but on the plate next to fries. Understandable. But what if you just got an artificial leg?! Making exceptions is not allowed/not possible here. Owner greeted us with all kinds of patches on his clothes. Food was mediocre to ordinary. Not something I would do a second time.

Ate for the first time yesterday. And to be honest, it was the last time. Space too small for the concept. You can barely understand the service. Meat, no idea what you are eating. It would be useful to place signs, as many do, with what everything is. .bbq too small for several people.unfortunately not recommended

Not much choice in terms of meat, especially if you don't already eat pork... it's all the same. We went out for dinner without children and had to sit at a table with another family and 2 children... so we couldn't talk about personal things because strangers were sitting next to you. After being inside for a while, the air really doesn't feel good anymore, so I was glad to be outside again. Concept is nice, they want to do their best for you, but this is not the right way.

This all you can eat restaurant is located in the heart of Hoorn. The concept, indoor barbecuing at your own table, really appealed to us (a big plus). The owner and staff were also super friendly and hospitable. As a starter we got a delicious baguette with various tapenades. Then the barbecue was started, and unfortunately the quality of the meat was not very good (we did not eat well). And that's a shame, the concept of barbecuing at your own table is just great (that's why it still gets 3 stars).

I was few times with friends for dinner. I liked that table arrangement and the space - didn't get too hot as the tables are big enough to be away from the bbq which is in the centre. There were various different meats to choose from for every taste. Good choice of salads too. Happy enough with the service - good communication considering I am not Dutch speaker. Recommended.

We come here often to eat with the brothers-in-law, lots of choice and enough for everyone. It's a shame that there is just a radio station on with chatter in between instead of nice BBQ music. Also keep in mind that your clothes will smell of BBQ smoke due to poor extraction. (you could also see how blue it was from smoke in the restaurant) nevertheless we had a great meal. 👌😊👍

Friendly host and an extensive buffet with something for everyone. Nice experience and might repeat it again in the future. I would only have liked to see nameplates at the buffet because it is sometimes unclear what exactly is there.

It's a very nice concept and delicious fresh food. I especially enjoyed making a skewer with different pieces of meat and vegetables. Two tips for the owner: provide some space at the buffet to put your plate and also look for desserts that do not contain ice cream.

Gezellig restaurant, eten was heerlijk. Kan als ouder rustig na borrelen terwijl de kinderen zich vermaken in de speelhoek. Door de spelcomputers is de hoek ook nog leuk voor oudere kinderen. De slushpuppys zijn een grote hit onder de kids.

Verschrikkelijk restaurant het stonk naar oud frituur vet en het was bloedheet ook het buffet (vlees en vis welke op de bbq moesten) was super slecht. En dat voor € 25 pp persoon schandalig
