Had a delicious lunch! The staff was very friendly and the lunch was incredibly tasty. The dishes had that little something extra and were surprising and flavorful, with beautiful combinations and just a slightly more special twist than you would expect from a standard lunch. Definitely recommended!

Just very good, especially the staff. A sharper (serrated) knife would be handy, perhaps.

We only sat on the terrace and that was perfectly fine. Everything went smoothly, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. We will definitely go back again. If it had also been a smoke-free terrace, I would have given 5 stars.

What a lovely place to settle down for a while in Huissen. We recently enjoyed a wonderful moment at the table here. The ambiance is quiet and very inviting for a good conversation. The carpaccio was excellently prepared. The plate was generously filled with beautiful thin slices of meat, topped with a good dressing, grated cheese, and some seeds for a nice crunch. We also had a glass of red wine with it, which tasted excellent. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates quality.

A very cozy place and delicious lunches, but unfortunately I had an unpleasant experience with the owner and a staff member a while ago. Following my negative review, I have since discussed the matter with them and they have somewhat acknowledged it. I expect to be spoken to in a respectful manner again in the future, so that I can enjoy myself there once more.

Once again, a very unpleasant experience. I have previously experienced several unpleasant situations at Big Fish, including a lunch where the music was so loud that normal conversation was impossible. When I politely asked if the volume could be turned down a bit, the music was actually turned up louder for a specific song. This time, however, the experience was once again downright unpleasant. We were approached because, according to the staff, someone was vaping. In reality, this involved a stop-smoking stick with a cotton ball and oil (LIO), without heat, smoke, or smell—literally just a cotton ball with oil. The first staff member responded kindly and allowed the use. Subsequently, a second employee approached the situation aggressively and arrogantly. It was stated that this was "already the second time," whereas the first time it had actually been allowed. After that, our friend naturally stopped using it. Later, the owner also appeared, who likewise adopted an aggressive and arrogant attitude, leaving no room for explanation and clearly intending to provoke a further confrontation. He claimed that smoke and a smell were coming from it, whereas if he had listened, he could have known that this was impossible. I understand that people want to be strict and that certain things are not allowed, even when it concerns a cotton ball with oil. However, the way in which this was communicated is completely unacceptable. I have let previous situations pass, but the line has been crossed here. I will not be coming back here.

I have a capsaicin allergy and medical advice to avoid white starches. That sounds difficult, you might say, but this lunch café never made a problem of it for years. Unfortunately, that has suddenly changed, but I still want to thank the chefs in particular, as well as the waitstaff! It is fantastic that I received such a pleasant, uncomplicated welcome here for 10 years, despite my difficult limitations. 🙏❣️

What was supposed to be a very pleasant evening ended in an unpleasant way. I recently quit smoking and am currently using a Lio stick. This is not a vape; it produces no vapor and no nicotine. It is simply a stick with a cotton pad and natural flavorings. First, a waiter came to ask if I wanted to stop vaping. After explaining exactly what it was, I received the answer: “Okay, that’s fine.” However, a little later, another waiter came in, speaking in a very unfriendly tone, saying that it had already been asked twice and that I had to stop. I calmly explained again what it was and that a colleague had indicated it was not a problem... this was completely ignored. After that, the owner also got involved. He claimed that he “could smell” it and his colleagues indicated they “saw smoke.” This is factually incorrect and simply impossible with this product since nothing is vaporized or burned. So, something was asserted here unjustly and untruthfully, instead of engaging in a normal conversation. I am a regular customer who came here weekly, but this is not how you treat people. The tone, the unwillingness to listen, and the making of false accusations make this unacceptable to me. Approaching customers like this is simply not okay! It is a shame, but I will never come back here.

We had lunch at Big Fish last Wednesday and it was absolutely delicious. We shared Thai pumpkin soup and a tuna sandwich. The service was also great.

Drinks and appetizer platter for 3 people. For the price of €30. It was a bit disappointing: too many nachos with cheese and flatbread chips filled the platter. Too bad.

A very good brasserie with delicious coffee, a wide variety of food, salads, sandwiches, good wines, and excellent single malts and cognacs on offer. Highly recommended if you're in Huissen.

Cosy terrace in the centre. Disappointing that a toasted sandwich is only reserved for children. Why can't an adult order that if you indicate that you want it? Not very customer-oriented. We left.

Vanmiddag 18 juni heerlijk geluncht bij de Big Fish. Lunch was top en de bediening door Gijs was professioneel en vriendelijk en kundig.Hij wist goed advies te geven over de wijnen. Van ons krijgt hij een STER. Bert en Ellen.

Slept in their apartment. Very friendly welcome. Staff in general friendly, open energy, accessible. Apartment very clean, fully equipped, wonderful atmosphere. Slept very well. Breakfast also great. Really enjoyed it and afterwards we regretted that we only booked one night.

Little choice vegetarian/vegan. Food is not very special. Quite pricey too. In the center. Location easily accessible.

Very nice and cozy location for a tasty lunch. We shared and ate some different dishes, all with a delicious Italian red wine. Top location, even in the summer with the terrace.

Samen met 2 cliënten voor de lunch. De bestelling van 3 drankjes kwam ook in 3 etappes naar onze tafel. "Gelukkig" was ikzelf diegene die de salade gerookte zalm en niet mijn gasten. Want deze was ècht ondermaats. Geen dressing, een halve eetlepel met ingelegde rode ui, 10 Edamame boontje en een krappe 80 gram aan gerookte zalm en meer was het niet. Vraag liever een paar euro meer en maak een salade waar je wel blij van wordt. Snee boerenbrood met kip zag er oké uit.

Super friendly service. And carpaccio on bread was sublime.

I'm used to better from them. It's a nice location with pleasant service. But the food has been better. The shrimp are delicious, but if you want to order them it costs one euro each!! I think it is very expensive. A less than half full glass of wine for €5.50. Too bad because it is a nice location.

Cozy terrace. Nice employees. But there is a lot of smoking outside on the terrace. And that is also strongly encouraged by having two ashtrays per table, approximately. Disgusting. I sat among smokers on all sides.

Value for your money With good products and good service

Very good restaurant. the tuna melt is highly recommended. Delicious pita with a tuna mayo cream gratinated with cheese. Fresh rocket and pickled onions on top. unfortunately to photograph enlarged. The service was super friendly, even when we had to ask something with our bumpy English

What a bad experience! Today around half past twelve I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and salmon from the menu. Turned out to be only possible at breakfast. I could have ordered an egg roll with cheese. It's strange that an egg for lunch suddenly can no longer be scrambled. When asked whether salmon could also be added to the cheese sandwich, I was told no by the kitchen. I passed. I miss the flexibility of the catering industry. In corona times, consumers are asked to please think of the local entrepreneur. And in good times, being too miserable to go the extra mile for the customer. Today (but also in the future) we are going to have lunch somewhere else.

What a wonderful place... Had a late lunch this afternoon...Very relaxed and smooth service. Had a fantastic Carpaccio Surf & Turf (super crispy and juicy prawns and beautifully presented! Served very quickly (I was starving😊). A photo of our group was taken by a very professional and athletic waitress🤣. Time for a nice chat. Also very friendly to the kids who were there. Congratulations!

The best lunch dishes from all over the area!!

We hebben hier vaker geluncht echter deze keer was het stukken minder, ik had een broodje Lingewaard zalm en deze was verre van wat het voorheen was. De zalm was bijna smaakloos en ik heb zeker 1/3 van het broodje laten staan omdat daar geen zalm op zat en op de plekken waar het wel op zat was het flinterdun. En dit voor €14,50 is zeker niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Volgende keer toch maar eens ergens anders een lunch proberen. Het personeel was uiterst vriendelijk dit terzijde.

Mooie locatie, gezellige hoge tafel, beetje gehorige ruimte, met wat grote planten zou het wat " warmer" aanvoelen. De borrelplank is een aarader.

Heerlijke plek om te lunchen of te borrelen! Lekkerste carpaccio van de omgeving!

Lekkere lunchgerechten, goede borrelplank, wijnen per glas prima en excellente koffie. Altijd druk, maar bediening is zeer behulpzaam bij het toebedelen van de tafeltjes. Alle tijd, geen haast.

Wij, 70plussers, vonden de muziek erg hard staan maar dat is persoonlijk en we hebben er niet gegeten dus daar weten we niets van maar het zag er leuk uit

Enorm vriendelijk personeel, goede service, meer dan genoeg ruimte tussen de tafels in en zeer vriendelijk voor honden (bakje water en koekje). Eten was een dikke 10!

Erg gezellig en sfeervol. Goede bediening en overheerlijke broodjes of salades. Altijd druk maar tot nu toe altijd nog een plekje gekregen na een aantal minuten wachten.

Lunch was heerlijk. Het is aan een zeer mooi plekje gelegen. Allemaal even vriendelijk ,en je wordt er snel geholpen. Je wordt er niet "weggekeken " Alleen jammer dat je niet kunt reserveren.

Donderdag 2 februari weer bij Big Fish in Huissen geweest. We hebben al regelmatig een bezoek gebracht aan dit restaurant om er een hapje te eten. Zo ook nu weer een lekkere Surf en Turf en een salade Bigfish onder begeleiding van een lekker glas rosè. Het is een gezellige ambiance en de bediening is heel vriendelijk en er is altijd gelegenheid voor een praatje. De klant voelt zich hier welkom. Ook zomers is het heerlijk vertoeven op het uitgebreide terras. Een aanrader om na een fietstocht in de omgeving daar even tot rust te komen onder het genot van een hapje en drankje!

De pikante kip met chili saus en paprika is nu heel anders...grote stukken kip en 1 snee brood ipv 2 En de kip weinig en niet lekker. Verder weinig keus op de kaart. Niks voor Kids op de kaart Zo jammer was altijd onze favoriete lunchroom maar gaan nu een straatje verder heerlijk en uitgebreider lunchkaart
