You'll have to walk a bit to find this restaurant. It's marked on the signs. It's a sort of old barn (a listed building). While proper dining isn't possible, a lunch dish with some fries is perfectly fine. Reasonably priced and the staff very friendly and attentive. I found it all surprisingly good.

A lovely café located by the harbor. It's a great place to sit and watch the scenery, and the apple pie is highly recommended. The coffee, served with whipped cream, was also delicious. The service was super friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We'd love to come back! The surrounding harbor is also very worth seeing.

A nice spot to sit both outside and inside with always coziness while enjoying a snack and a drink and everything is possible. A MUST!! if you choose coziness.

Good spot for a cup of coffee and a slice of apple pie w/ whipped cream. My boyfriend ordered the pulled chicken sandwich (= a crispy bread roll w/ seasoned chicken) and enjoyed it.

What fun with Aunt Nel... already celebrated a birthday twice and had a great party both times. Atmosphere, service, location... everything is perfect, highly recommended, also for just a nice lunch! Thanks Nick 😃

Very cozy, friendly, uncomplicated. We were there on April 27, 2025 and also met the young, friendly operator. Small cafe/bistro, which is located directly at the harbor/boat dock. Very friendly service. Recommended!

The choice of beer types has recently become very limited. Very unfortunate. Fortunately, there are plenty of catering establishments in the area with a wide choice of beer 👍

Lovely tent with allure of the harbour. A relaxed place for everyone.

We were in the naval museum where food was not possible, we went here and it was busy inside due to parties, but luckily we were able to sit outside on the terrace, food and drinks were well priced, simple but of good quality.

Fabulous cafe. Great service with a smile and some cheeky humour. Two minutes walk from the Marine Museum. Generous wine portions and the best frites I've tasted in years. I'd come back to Den Helder just for lunch here.

What a very nice cafe at the head of an equally good marina, Willemsoord! Be frugal on both!

Because of the great reviews, we also ended up with aunt Nel. The great reviews are right. We have rarely eaten such a delicious apple pie. The location looks very inconspicuous from the outside, but is furnished with a lot of love from the inside. The service was also great, our dog got a treat straight away. Great recommendation 👍🏻

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food, as only liquid food 😉... what was offered and apparently happily eaten by the "locals" looked really good. I see a very nice 'boss' and a brilliant location in Willensnoord - directly opposite the sailing/steam ship that is being rebuilt... On my next guaranteed visit, I'll also try the food. Highly recommended

Found myself craving something sweet in den Helder at 18:30 in the evening on a Sunday and Bij tante Nel saved the day. Sadly, we had to rush for our train, but everybody was super friendly and the atmosphere so lovely - we really wish we could have stayed. The owner was really nice and accommodating and made us the apple crumble to go and even offered us an actual fork to go with it (and “return next time we come”). The apple crumble was absolutely delicious with a generous portion of whipped cream. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in the area!

Supertentje,gezellige eigenaren die alles doen om het de klanten naar hun zin te maken. Met Pasen op de camperplaats gestaan en hier een paar keer op het terras wat gedronken. Ook broodjes besteld voor de zaterdagochtend.

Gezellig! Het was stampvol en er werd voor ons gewoon een tafeltje bij geplaatst, top.

Leuke lokatie. We waren op bezoek bij het Marinemuseum en kregen een tip om hier heen te gaan. Leuke eigenaren en het eten was ook lekker. Tip: warme appelkruimelvlaai met slagroom en een bolletje ijs!
