What a gem this place is! I drank tea and had lunch with my girlfriend here in a very relaxed, homely atmosphere. That was a very nice experience. Friendly service, view of the kitchen/bakery where everything is prepared with passion. Clearly popular, because one customer after another came in for the tastiest sourdough loaves or sweets, all of which look beautiful and tasty. Oatcake piece with tea was delicious! I got advice for my lunch and that was a good idea. My Japanese Salmon sourdough bread was so delicious. Generously filled and with a sensation of flavors. I think everything here is just really delicious. And the prices are low for what you get... because the quality is really good. You see and taste that. This place is a must visit! I would like to come back again for the cakes and sweets from the display case.

The place is cozy but super small for winter and eat inside now, the service is kind and gentle. Dessert and coffee are delicious 😋

What a great place, nothing to complain about.

We regularly get sweet treats such as: brownie, poppy seed lemon cake and almond croissant. The almond croissants are highly recommended! It is nice and creamy and full of flavor.

Two types of boluses for a nice evening meal with coffee. The topping, a kind of meringue, was tasty, the cookie was dry and impossible to get through. Shame.

Zoetermeer's finest, and that in the Dorpstraat. An asset, but also a source of inspiration for many entrepreneurs in this shopping street of Zoetermeer. The street was asleep, entrepreneurs did the same thing for years. Blackbird pulls them (indirectly/unconsciously) out of their comfort zone. Wake up, time for innovation!! Well done Merel & Crew.

Just ok almond croissant. The almond croissant is perfectly chewy inside, but misses the fresh crunchiness on the outside. Their sourdough bread is just okay too. Friendly staff.

In some places you can taste and feel the passion. Good coffee and tasty croissants. Our new favorite place for breakfast!

The only bakery in the area that makes bread the correct, natural way. Also delicious and original baked goods, I don't have a favorite yet, they are all delicious. And everything with local ingredients! The products here are worth every cent.

I liked the Amandel croissant. The inner filling was good. Cinnamon roll was good in appearance but ordinary in taste... Finally, they can make their bakery products more diverse. If I have the opportunity, I will also try their sourdough breads.

altijd top kwaliteit brood, was geld meer dan waard, nu 1 ster minder vanwege krimpflatie. Moet helaas constateren dat de broden met ong 25 % gekrompen zijn voor dezelfde prijs. Ondanks dit gegeven, blijft goed brood.

Heerlijk broodje gegeten. Net even anders dan anders, biologisch en super goed van smaak! Goede bediening, met name Sanne was een topper! Aanrader voor iedereen!

I love blackbird since they're still in a small shop in the square. Now they've moved to the bigger place which Im so excited for them. I dont understand anymore, their bread are the best of the best, the best, the best of the best, and the best! Their almond croissant, pain au làit, cheese croissant and the rocky road brownies are THE ABSOLUT BEST in the universe. Their breads are definitely food that you should try before you die! 😭😭

When we first visited the Black Bird, we took brownies and enjoyed them outside listening to the bell of the nearby church hitting 12 pm. We were lucky to have a sunny day. They've got friendly staff & we were quickly served. FYI: there is just one table inside at which you can sit. On Mondays and Tuesdays, they're closed which we missed to check before heading to this place.

Brood erg lekker! Behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel

Zojuist een snee van dat overheerlijke en nog beetje warme cranberry-walnotenbrood bij de koffie genomen. Ook een pompoenpitten/zadenmix zuurdesembrood gekocht. Ik heb aan een boterham genoeg, dus kan weer zeker een week vooruit!

In mijn zoektocht naar waar ik nou eigenlijk exact niet tegen kan uiteindelijk gistloos geprobeerd. Al snel kwam ik toen uit bij Black Bird Bakery aangezien ze als een van de weinige compleet gistloos bakken en ik ga als een gek op dit brood. Superlekker brood en elke cent meer dan waard, kom er inmiddels wekelijks en hoop er nog heel lang brood te kunnen halen!

Fuimos de paseo con la bici hoy a centro de Zoetemeer, y nos paramos a desayunar velozmente, pero el desayuno tomó más de una hora, fue una experiencia excelente. El croissant de queso y el de avellana son fantásticos… el cappuccino como traído de Milán… el jugo de naranja fresco y dulce. Y lo mejor fue el staff.. súper servicial, amables, amigables.. nos hicieron pasar una velada fantástica. Se los recomiendo, no dejen de pasar por el Black Bird bakery…. 5 estrellas

My friend and I ride every weekend to a different city to have breakfast in the best place in each town. This time I had a wonderful breakfast experience with multiple delicious options and the people who is running the place is really lovely. It surpasses my expectations and will come back again for breakfast. See you soon!

Mijn favoriete en altijd happy place in Zoetermeer. Ambachtelijk brood, veel afwisseling en de gastvrijheid van Merel! Van pizza's af en toe, tot de beste kaneelbrood. Parel in de dorpstraat. Ik mocht zelfs een keer beetje starter meenemen. Ik ben en blijf, een blije, vaste klant!

Leuke locatie, erg vriendelijk personeel en heerlijke producten! Een aanrader dus 👍🏻
