The reviews seem based on a myth. A good bakery, but nothing special. Those long lines that supposedly make it so cozy and prove it's a great bakery? No one says a word. They don't have to, but hyped up as a cozy neighborhood gathering doesn't reflect reality. If you have to wait that long, I'd hire more staff and show a little more respect for your customers, especially people with disabilities. It's a shame.

I've lived here all my life, and this bakery has always been here. A bakery that continues to create new products and where the bread is "like a cookie." At home, there was always a fight for the bottom of the loaf. Something that still happens today. The prices are reasonable and not exorbitant, like some bakeries. Try a "Zeebonkie" or, for a sweet treat, a "Snow White"! Highly recommended.

A really good artisan baker. Everything comes fresh from the bakery next to the shop. The bread is delicious, the sausage rolls are great, Easter and Christmas stollen is really delicious and richly filled. The cronut is our favorite!

We used to get bags full of pudding rolls, croissants and tompoes here with Grandma, not to mention the best sausage rolls I can remember!! Now moved back after years and still just as tasty!

Very tasty and very good value for money.

I used to go there as a little girl. After we moved, I haven't been there for a long time. Years later, when I wanted to get my baby used to bread and he refused the supermarket bread, I came back after at least 22 years. The little one hasn't eaten anything else since then. Once every 4 weeks we enjoy coming from Zeist for a nostalgic outing and we buy in bulk. Milk casinos, lion bread and sesame bread are favorites. The tompouce and chocolate croissants are also very tasty. You do have to take into account a queue, but we are happy to do so. Kees, you are great!

I really don't understand the high reviews. I live nearby so I get bread more often but it doesn't taste like anything. The price is super good, but all bread tastes the same and it's just not good quality. Even find supermarket bread much tastier

The bakery has a lot of good reviews on maps which is the reason I wanted to try it. But it was average actually, nothing in particular to make it super "lekker".

This is how a baker should be, all products always fresh! Of excellent quality and after mid-afternoon also a choice of types of bread. It is busy here and there is a very good reason for that. Quality for a good price. Service is friendly and as it should be in a working-class neighborhood, I like coming there!

The best bread in Utrecht can be found here! Huge difference with the so-called 'fresh' bread in the supermarket. The staff is friendly and cordial, which always makes it a pleasure to go here on Father's Day. Personal favorites are: the mill bread, primal bread and the sesame whole wheat. 😋😋😋

Unfortunately, there are no longer any of these companies...quality...various sandwiches...and something different every week for the sweet tooth...and also very nicely priced. Disadvantage always in line, but it's worth it

Good bakery and fast service and free parking in front of the door.

Sometimes the line extends outside, but it's totally worth it! The bread from this bakery is absurdly delicious. The sausage rolls, frikandel rolls, croissants, etc. are also delicious. This is bread as it should be. Not like that crap they sell in the supermarkets!

Wat moet je nog meer zeggen dan dat hij de allerbeste is van Utrecht de heerlijkste saucijzenbroodjes de berlinerbollen en sneeuwballen en dan ben ik een fan van een beetje doorbakken wit brood Sinds jaar en dag de beste bakker!!!

Altijd lekkere broodjes! Een van de weinige bakkers die ik ken die écht goed smaken en waardig zijn zich een bakkerij te noemen. Prima prijzen en vriendelijk personeel. Ik woon helemaal niet meer in Utrecht, maar kom regelmatig langs voor een chocobroodje of broodje thaise kip. Koud én warm lekker. Aanrader!

Heel goeie bakker echt heerlijke dingen daar .altijd druk .goeie kwaliteit.wel duur dat is bij een goeie bakker .ga vaker terug .hoop nog tijd blijft bestaan.

Ik rij elke zaterdag 3 kilometer om hier brood te halen. Beste bakker van Utrecht. Leeuwenbrood en desem zijn super!!! Update 2022: ondertussen ook vaste koper van de ontbijtkoek en harde bolletjes. Heerlijk ook. Door corona iets meer spreiding over de dag en minder druk dan eerst. Probeer wel een beetje vroeg te komen, anders zijn er wel eens zaken uitverkocht.
