How nice that you are here, right in the middle of the forest in a beautiful hiking area. The service here is truly so welcoming. We camped nearby and came in the morning for coffee with oat milk :). It's great that you sell plant-based ice cream and offer vegan options for lunch. We'll definitely be trying that soon! In other words: highly recommended.

It's a shame that more shade wasn't created. You have to order your food inside, but the order is written on a board outside, and eventually, when you get back to the cashier, you have to go back to your table to provide the table number. This could definitely be made a bit easier.

Peculiar fixation of the wait staff on the location of the tables. We wanted to move a table from the full sun to the shade over a distance of 1.5 meters. That wasn't allowed. Imagine that. Fortunately, a table in the shade had become available, and we were able to order a coffee after all. Otherwise, it is a cozy forest pub. But I think very few orders came in from table 57 today....

Once again, we had a wonderful after-party with 19 people from WSV ELSTARS and enjoyed the delicious apple pie with real whipped cream, which stayed firm and didn't become runny. Highly recommended. De Beken, a beautiful and well-organized wet nature reserve crisscrossed by brooks. Park at the restaurant or otherwise along the main road. I usually finish a walk with coffee or lunch in the cozy restaurant that takes its name from this nature reserve. The staff includes well-trained employees with Down syndrome, a wonderful initiative. In Nijmegen, we have Blixem. A Wikipedia quote: "The Renkums Beekdal is a nature reserve located west of the town of Renkum in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The ecologically valuable brook valley cuts through the moraine on the Southwest Veluwe border. Since 1983, it has been largely managed by Staatsbosbeheer. A part, the Grunsfoortweide, belongs to the adjacent Oranje Nassau's Oord. The northern part of the brook valley is located on the Quadenoord estate, and in the south, near the Renkumse Benedenwaard, it connects to the river Rhine."

Mooie plek in het bos tijdens het fietsen hier een tussenstop gemaakt. Rook heerlijk naar afgebakken brood/koekjes. Bijzondere bediening, je maakt keuze en moet gelijk afrekenen, dus als je koffie/thee, daarna nog iets besteld en ook nog lunch moet je meerdere keren afrekenen. Voor het aantal zitplaatsen slechts 1 toilet, wel heel mager want als je nodig moet, moet je ook heel lang wachten.

Great place to relax after a walk. Food was fine and the service friendly. It was very busy last weekend and you could tell that they are probably missing some staff. Both playgrounds were used well and we had to give our son a good beating before we got back in the car.

Wonderful place. Food good. I've been coming there for a while. But the service is getting worse and worse. You have to wait a very long time before you are helped. Even if you come and get a coffee to go. And then you get the feeling that you are actually just annoying, because they are already so busy. After Corona it has simply become way too busy for what they can handle.

We kwamen hier na een mooie wandeling voor koffie met huisgemaakt gebak. De bediening is super vriendelijk. De appeltaart en frambozencheesecake heerlijk. Enig minpuntje vind ik dat de cappuccino uit de automaat komt, vers opgeschuimde melk is toch wel echt veel lekkerder.

I stayed here last Monday, September 30. had lunch with an acquaintance, after first taking a nice walk from this place through the Renkums Beekdal. An attractive restaurant, with friendly staff and tasty sandwiches. I chose a salmon sandwich. In addition to the salmon, the sandwich also contained a generous layer of cream cheese, which was nice and crunchy. It was garnished with some greenery and there was also a vegetable mixture next to it. A nice place to meet, in the middle of nature.

Was here on a "transit" to Utrecht because of the positive reviews. Got a different impression: the 12 o'clock hour could have been much better, it was not busy but we did have to wait a long time. Due to the unstable weather we sat inside, where it was uncomfortable. Location is beautiful for walkers and cyclists. Price/quality is reasonable. Have been to restaurants before (including Zoetermeer, Zaltbommel, Valkenburg) where disabled people help, but it was much better there.

Passerend tijdens een fietstocht hier aangeland. Terras helemaal vol, eigenlijk overvol. Zelfs de muurtjes werden als zitplaatsen gebruikt. De bediening had handenvol werk met de drukte. Complimenten voor de ervaren vriendelijkheid. Dat leegkomende tafels niet direct werden opgeruimd en schoongemaakt, is onder deze omstandigheden te begrijpen. Dat de keuken toch binnen een redelijke tijd de gerechten kon laten uitserveren, is ook een compliment waard. De gerechten zijn overigens niet goedkoop.

What a wonderful place to shelter from the rain. We had to pick something up nearby and took the dog for a walk. On the way the rain started and didn't stop. Had a delicious strawberry cake here and had lunch at noon. The soup of the day, sweet potato soup. Delicious! Very friendly service. Fresh bread and pastries are made here. It smells so good in here. Bought a multi-seed loaf to enjoy at home. We would like to come back here again when the weather is nice. Next to it is a walking path, off-leash area for dogs and gnome path. See you soon!
