Do you recognize that when you have just finished your main course and the waiter comes to ask if everything tastes good? My answer was that my main course was of good quality but simply not to my taste. And my main course was gone, these men from the forest (cafe) did not leave this lady in distress with this dish. I immediately got another main course and it was excellent. Without being able to find anything about this on the bill. Culinary Limburg hospitality are not three random words here, but are tailor-made for these gentlemen. Ps the pickled meat is definitely recommended 👌

They have been closed for days, but this is not stated anywhere except on the door. Sloppy. A gem on the edge of the Ingendael nature reserve. Cozy forest café with tasty dishes and good draft beers: Paix Dieu even! Bouncer tasted good with delicious fresh brown bread. Pasta Boscaiola was excellent and the fish of the day, sole, was also delicious.

Food was good. Service was friendly but could have been better, you can make more turnover if people walk past the table more often for drinks. But we didn't see enough of them on the terrace where we were sitting. The toilet was not really clean this morning, it was very dirty.

It's great that the restaurant welcomes dogs, as you are not allowed to go to many places. It's just a shame that our own dog is loose on the property, so we as dog owners have to skip this spot.

Super relaxing atmosphere in the middle of an easy hiking trail. We only ate the vlaai (local fruit pie) which was absolutely super. The local beer is great of course as well. Gezellig as gezellig can get.

Ordered a large bottle of sparkling water during the walk. 8.75 for a liter. The two of you enjoy a nice lurking session on a hot day. It was busy but the logistics were in order. Great spot

Ate delicious tempura mushrooms with spicy dipping sauce and drank a 0.4% chouffe. Beautiful view and located on Pieterpad. Friendly service. (Okay, 1 small thing: terrace not in the sun)

Super cozy dining tent. The Marcel's meatballs in beer sauce are highly recommended. The staff is very friendly. There is a homely and cozy atmosphere. A place we will definitely come back to again!

We had a nice drink here in the sun during our wonderful spring walk around Valkenburg. Nice spot in the middle of nature, friendly and helpful.

There is no better place to eat a piece of pie

What a super cozy restaurant! The cozy, somewhat old-fashioned interior teleports you back to the past. A pleasant group of regular guests are also present to take the atmosphere to a higher level, together with the great country music! The quality of the food was absolutely fine. Also an extra plus for the friendly staff. 10/10, would recommend.

Really really nice place, away from the usually touristy Valkenburg. Beautiful view. I always come by bike. Good coffee. Delicious waffle. Great lunch dishes. Everyone was super friendly. In the summer you can sit outside so nicely, but it's also cozy inside. We recommend. My insider tip for Valkenburg!

Lekker gegeten kleine maar goede kaart

Zum ersten mal im Juli'23 hier gewesen und einen leckeren Snack und tolles Bier getrunken. Mit guter Erinnerung sind wir nun wieder mit Freunden dort zum Dinner gewesen. Vorweg...es war fantastisch. Auch im Winter kann dieses Cafe überzeugen. Supergemütliche Atmosphäre, Superliebes Personal, klasse Musik wie auch im Sommer (absolut mein Geschmack). Ein Abendessen in dieser tollen Qualität hatten wir nicht erwartet. Der Koch hat tolle und kreative Arbeit geleistet. Das Filet vom Rind mit Gemüse auf Kürbisspiegel war von absolut gehobener Qualität. Das Filet wurde 3 mal in verschiedenen Garpunkten bestellt. Es wurde für jeden einzelnen am Tisch perfekt serviert. Auch das Reh für meine Frau war ein sehr perfektes Stück Fleisch. Macht weiter so....es ist eine kulinarische Oase. Wir freuen uns auf das nächste mal am .....Silvester-Wochenende

Wohlfühlen in einem gemütlichen Café-Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem Service, prima Getränken (das hausgebraute Bier, guter Wein z.B.) und ausgezeichneter, kreativer Küche mit knackfrischen Zutaten ! Es hat wieder einmal Freude gemacht, dafür Geld auszugeben. Danke Silke

Wat een super leuke locatie en heel vriendelijk personeel

Lekker eten met een mooi uitzicht.

Een fijne plek met een goede lunchkaart en vriendelijke bediening. Mooi terras erbij, geen/weinig parkeerplek. Prima om tijdens je wandeling hier een stop te maken.

Wat een leuke plek. Ondanks onze last minute reservering konden ze nog een plekje vrijmaken om te dineren. Vanuit de Strabeek konden wij lopend door het natuurgebied het café bereiken. De ontvangst was zeer gastvrij, de bediening top en het eten erg lekker. Het sfeertje was zeer intiem. Aanrader dus, als je buiten het drukke toeristische centrum van Valkenburg wil eten.

Mooie plek voor een heerlijke vlaai en prima koffie! Mooie wandel routes in de omgeving. Klein stukje uit het centrum onder aan de wandelroutes van de Cauberg.

Leuk lokaal. Vriendelijk personeel. Helaas eten is minder en prijzig. Ik had biefstuk besteld (medium rare) . Helaas was deze niet zoals besteld (medium rare) of deze kwam uit de diepvries, wat ik eerder geloof. Het was een piep klein biefstukje van 25 euro . Bloed zat er niet in echter het vlees was rood van binnen. Normaal kun je voor 25 euro toch wel een vers biefstukje verlangen waar nog bloed uit komt. Was dan ook de tweede en laatste keer dat wij daar waren . Mijn vrouw had er een vleesspies genomen ,volgens haar was het lekker, helaas was het ook erg weinig voor de trotse prijs van 20 euro voor 1 klein spiesje.

Wat is dit een parel van een zaak. Een ruim uitzicht op gras en bossen. Er liepen tijdens ons bezoek paarden in de weide beneden. Personeel is vriendelijk en snel. De bierkaart is ruim voldoende. Het terras is heerlijk om te zitten, binnen is er minder ruimte.

Geluncht op een prachtige locatie. Mooi landelijk uizicht vanaf het terras. Heerlijk rustig. Hond welkom.

Prima plek voor een kop koffie als je het Pieterpad loopt.

Heerlijke hapjes gehad, lekkere biertjes ( ingendael). Het personeel is echt top, super vriendelijk. Het uitzicht is fantastisch. Echt een aanrader!!!

Gezellige eetcafé omringd door groen en vlakbij de Geul. Vriendelijke bediening en lekkere gerechten zorgen samen met een authentieke inrichting voor een leuke ervaring. Met koud of nat weer kan het er binnen erg druk zijn zodat je dicht op elkaar zit. Maar juist dit zorgt voor extra gezelligheid.

Wat een gezellige plek in de bossen. We komen hier vast vaker terug!

We hebben zeer genoten van een wandeling door het natuurgebied Ingendael tussen Valkenburg en Houthem Sint Gerlach. Bij boscafé Tivoli op het terras is het heerlijk zitten, opvallend veel plek. De overheerlijke franse uiensoep is aan te bevelen. Ook was het leuk om het lokale Ingendaeler te drinken, speciaal gebrouwen door de Gulpener. Prijs- kwaliteit is in orde.

Heerlijk gegeten op het terras met uitzicht over de heuvels. Vooraf heel lekkere wortel/kokossoep met broodjes en als hoofdgerecht hadden we saté, geulforel en hertenbiefstuk en een heerlijk Limburgs wijntje. Ook binnen is het heel sfeervol, zeker op een winterse dag!

Superlocatie mooi aan de bosrand. Goede bediening en lekker eten en koffie/capuccino. Vlaai is ook erg lekker maar helaas wel weinig keuze (kruimel, pruimen, abrikozen), en de kruimelpudding vlaai is zo goed als altijd rond het middaguur al op. Maak daar aub eens wat meer van!

Ontzettend mooie locatie, in het verleden ook wel vaker geweest. Eerste keer bij deze uitbaters. Bediening goed, vriendelijk. De bestelde broodjes, erg lekker. Thuis nog even de bon nagekeken. Blijkt er een extra toeslag voor het bruin brood gerekend te worden. Dit stond zeker niet op de menukaart. Het gaat niet om het bedrag, maar om het principe. Toeslag per gerecht 1€, wat is het verschil met wit of bruin. Verder uiteraard een aanrader. Sneu van die toeslag.

Prachtige locatie aan de rand van Valkenburg met een fraai uitzicht over akkers en op de heuvels. Wij hebben lekker geborreld en aansluitend gegeten op het terras. De kaart is eenvoudig maar alle gerechten zijn uitstekend van kwaliteit. Het meest bijzondere is echter de bediening. Er is professionele / persoonlijke aandacht, men is vlot en geeft je het gevoel dat je er welkom bent. De prijs / kwaliteit verhouding is precies wat het zijn moet. Absoluut een plek waar wij terug zullen komen.
