Fast and friendly service. Despite the crowds, the food and drinks were on the table quickly.

Very nice restaurant, something for everyone; great for couples, but also top-notch for the family. Pancakes (also for people with allergies), satay, steak, and vegetarian options—plenty of choice. Also very tasty and beautifully decorated desserts! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they are very considerate because we have an allergy. The owner gave a nice account of the location and turned out to be originally from the same town as me—always nice to find a common ground like that! Terrace with a playground, free-roaming chickens, and a table with swings! Very cool!

Had a nice lunch of carpaccio and mackerel salad: tasty, but one slice of bread for almost €16 is a steep price.

What a great restaurant and excellent food!! Tomato soup was delicious and the pancakes superb.

We had a delicious meal. Our 8-year-old son licked his fingers and finished his second pancake in no time! The service was incredibly friendly and they even gave us some tips on places to visit in the area 🍀

Best forest mushroom lasagna and pancakes we've had in ages. Service on Saturday afternoon was fast, friendly, and attentive. Highly recommended!

What a delicious surprise! A dog friendly, cozy place with friendly staff. The food is sooo good! The veggie lasagna and pancakes were incredible. We will definitely visit again!

We were early and there was no one else around yet.

Today we sat in the hunting room with a family of about 35 people. Everything was arranged superbly and the service was great! Compliments on how everything was served on time and to everyone at the same time.

We were there on a Sunday evening for pancakes. Fine, but not exceptionally tasty. Young girls with little experience serving. Nice surroundings and fine for a drink, but we wouldn't go there again.

At the end of our walk near the Doornse Kaap, we decided to stop for a drink and perhaps a bite to eat at Het Wapen van Sandenburg. And we were not disappointed. A beautiful spot in the woods, yet right on the N325, in a good location amidst many walking and cycling routes and other options. It is certainly good that the large terrace is situated in the woods at the back. Plenty of seating, even for larger groups. Ample free parking for cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. It was our first time here and we only had drinks, including a piece of cake. Tasty. The menu is small but seems good enough to have something for everyone. Pancakes too. The staff is friendly and helpful. We will be back; in our opinion, this could even be a great location for a business meeting.

Had very tasty pancakes here. Good service, although it was a bit disorganized, but perhaps this was due to the crowds.

We ate a delicious Italian tomato soup here with tasty, fluffy sourdough bread and two croquettes with sourdough bread. Generous portions served with a smile in a cozy atmosphere. What more could you ask for! A perfect stopover if you are going for a walk in the Kaapse Bossen, for example!

Cozy restaurant, friendly staff

Went here with my partner, some friends and our dog. The Forrest area is amazing to walk around, and to top it all off there is this amazing pancake place. The service was good and the pancakes were amazing, I would definitely recommend going here if your craving pancakes!

We stepped onto the terrace at 3:55 PM, and this restaurant closes at 5 PM... as an exception, we were allowed to order a pancake, but the kitchen was actually already closed. Well, what are you supposed to think of that? Then put that on your enticing outdoor sign, so the guest knows what to expect. I could understand the kitchen closing at 4:45 PM, but at 4 PM? Anyway, is it the kitchen staff's revenge to serve an extra-greasy pancake, or does this always happen? The question remains unanswered; I'll just drive on next time.

My sister and I did a "Happen & Stappen" (Happiness & Walking) activity, a fun package. You start with apple pie, then walk to the next restaurant. There we were given soup and walked back. The route was sometimes difficult to follow, but we also had our GPS tracker with us. We could choose between pancakes or a "uitsmijter" (fried eggs), and drinks are at your own expense. We really enjoyed it.

Heel erg vriendelijk personeel. Erg lekker geluncht met vrienden. Iedereen was tevreden. Werd zelfs een speciale salade gemaakt voor een van ons ivm allergieën. Super leuke plek om even tot rust te komen. Leuke speeltuin voor kinderen en er was een tafel met schommels erg leuk idee.

De Franse pannenkoek die werd geserveerd, was echt lekker. Gevuld met geitenkaas en honing, en walnoten er overheen. Verrassend. Mooi gelegen, degelijk, erg vriendelijk, ook voor honden. En de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding klopt helemaal.

Can't say anything about the pannekoeken huis, but be aware that there is a company blocking the road here. For your safety you have to bike a couple of kms around, while the road is completely empty and zero works are going on. Instead of helping bikers and hikers to cross a road safely he and his colleagues block everyone. Of course he himself is allowed to walk around and cross the road. It is an incredible negative approach to bikers and hikers to take the job like this. What a waste of time and energy to put guys like this to 'protect' people. He could do so much better and enjoy his job so much more if done in a more helpful and coherent way.

I met everyone I knew, so I was greeted very nicely after a visit to my parents' grave, but it was a very nice pancake house.

Unfortunately, we had no service. After waiting fifteen minutes, still no one looked at us. The staff is very young and that in itself is not a problem, but it is when it is a bit busier and the entire environment is not taken into account. Very unfortunate because it is quite a nice restaurant. Disappointing and unfortunately not anymore for us.

The service was not customer-friendly: To divide one bowl of soup over 2 bowls or to 'stir' the eggs of a bouncer, an extra 1 euro was charged twice. We left here without ordering and won't be back.

Today we did a walking tour of Happen en Stappen. We started at restaurant Het Wapen van Sandenburg. There we were kindly received and given a delicious piece of apple pie with coffee (tea was also possible). There was plenty of room for the car in the large parking lot. First we went south and walked west. After a delicious soup (at Reyk restaurant) we walked north and of course to the east and eventually returned to Het Wapen. Where we ate a delicious pancake. On the way we deliberately walked past the Lookout Tower (it was not really on the H&S route). There were quite a few stairs, but the view was definitely worth the climb.😜 Great day and super friendly employees at both restaurants.
