A truly relaxing place to unwind. It feels like you're surrounded by nature. The adjacent road makes for much less noise than you might expect. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is a bit less expensive than the quality. Stick to a pancake and a drink, and you'll be perfectly fine.

Went here with my partner, some friends and our dog. The Forrest area is amazing to walk around, and to top it all off there is this amazing pancake place. The service was good and the pancakes were amazing, I would definitely recommend going here if your craving pancakes!

We stepped onto the terrace at 3:55 PM, and this restaurant closes at 5 PM... as an exception, we were allowed to order a pancake, but the kitchen was actually already closed. Well, what are you supposed to think of that? Then put that on your enticing outdoor sign, so the guest knows what to expect. I could understand the kitchen closing at 4:45 PM, but at 4 PM? Anyway, is it the kitchen staff's revenge to serve an extra-greasy pancake, or does this always happen? The question remains unanswered; I'll just drive on next time.

The restaurant is beautifully situated. Friendly service. We enjoyed delicious pancakes (there's much more on the menu). There's a nice playground for younger children. The table with swings is a real must-have for families with children.

My sister and I did a "Happen & Stappen" (Happiness & Walking) activity, a fun package. You start with apple pie, then walk to the next restaurant. There we were given soup and walked back. The route was sometimes difficult to follow, but we also had our GPS tracker with us. We could choose between pancakes or a "uitsmijter" (fried eggs), and drinks are at your own expense. We really enjoyed it.

Heel erg vriendelijk personeel. Erg lekker geluncht met vrienden. Iedereen was tevreden. Werd zelfs een speciale salade gemaakt voor een van ons ivm allergieën. Super leuke plek om even tot rust te komen. Leuke speeltuin voor kinderen en er was een tafel met schommels erg leuk idee.

De Franse pannenkoek die werd geserveerd, was echt lekker. Gevuld met geitenkaas en honing, en walnoten er overheen. Verrassend. Mooi gelegen, degelijk, erg vriendelijk, ook voor honden. En de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding klopt helemaal.

Can't say anything about the pannekoeken huis, but be aware that there is a company blocking the road here. For your safety you have to bike a couple of kms around, while the road is completely empty and zero works are going on. Instead of helping bikers and hikers to cross a road safely he and his colleagues block everyone. Of course he himself is allowed to walk around and cross the road. It is an incredible negative approach to bikers and hikers to take the job like this. What a waste of time and energy to put guys like this to 'protect' people. He could do so much better and enjoy his job so much more if done in a more helpful and coherent way.

I met everyone I knew, so I was greeted very nicely after a visit to my parents' grave, but it was a very nice pancake house.

Unfortunately, we had no service. After waiting fifteen minutes, still no one looked at us. The staff is very young and that in itself is not a problem, but it is when it is a bit busier and the entire environment is not taken into account. Very unfortunate because it is quite a nice restaurant. Disappointing and unfortunately not anymore for us.

The service was not customer-friendly: To divide one bowl of soup over 2 bowls or to 'stir' the eggs of a bouncer, an extra 1 euro was charged twice. We left here without ordering and won't be back.

Today we did a walking tour of Happen en Stappen. We started at restaurant Het Wapen van Sandenburg. There we were kindly received and given a delicious piece of apple pie with coffee (tea was also possible). There was plenty of room for the car in the large parking lot. First we went south and walked west. After a delicious soup (at Reyk restaurant) we walked north and of course to the east and eventually returned to Het Wapen. Where we ate a delicious pancake. On the way we deliberately walked past the Lookout Tower (it was not really on the H&S route). There were quite a few stairs, but the view was definitely worth the climb.😜 Great day and super friendly employees at both restaurants.

Op een prachtige locatie in de bossen net buiten Doorn ligt dit pannenkoekenrestaurant. Omdat we hier al meermalen waren langs gereden nu maar eens besloten hier te stoppen voor koffie en een lunch. Omdat het een mooie zondagse nazomerdag was was het zowel buiten als binnen erg druk. Binnen was nog plek dus na ons gemeld te hebben een plekje in de hoek gekregen. De tafel stond nog vol van de vorige bezoekers net als de tafels om ons heen. Hierna begon het lange wachten op de bediening en de koffie. Aangezien er geen kranten of iets dergelijks aanwezig is ben je aangewezen op je smartphone voor “leesvoer”.,.. ook wij zijn wel eens uitgepraat met elkaar. Nadat de koffie is geserveerd is het weer erg lang wachten op de pannenkoeken kaart. Ondertussen komt alles zeer chaotisch over en lijkt er totaal geen lijn of logica te zitten in de aansturing van het (zeer) jonge personeel. Bij het aangaan van een gesprek met het jonge personeel begrepen wij dat op een topdag als deze de manager gewoon afwezig is en het personeel het zelf mag uitzoeken.., Ik kreeg bijna medelijden met hen! Na heel lang wachten even eindelijk de bestelde pannenkoeken gekregen. Wat moet je erop zeggen? Ook hier heeft de inflatie ernstig toegeslagen en zijn de prijzen niet meer in de pas voor wat je krijgt. Kortom; Het is een prachtige start locatie voor mooie wandelingen, maar mocht je hier ook gaan lunchen ben je zo €15 p.p. Lichter voor een simpele pannenkoek met koffie. Geen

Groot bord roken buiten de tent dus wij tafeltje gezocht buiten de tent. Netjes word er een asbak gebracht door 1 van de serveersters. Na 10 minuten het eerste sigaretje op gestoken en komt de eigenaresse ons vriendelijk verzoeken of we buiten het terras willen roken. Huh wat snap ik niet ,wij drankje netjes afgerekend en het eten afbesteld 🤮. We worden hier al genoeg gediscrimineerd in dit land dus nooit meer hier bah.

Mooi plekje. Niet onder de tent, want daar mag je niet roken. Asbakje kregen we aangeboden. Drinken, eten besteld. Komt een personeelslid aan en vraagt of we op de parkeerplaats kunnen gaan roken…heel bijzonder. Drinken betaald, eten afbesteld en tot nooit meer.

You can also eat something three quarters of the way through the race. We plopped down on an almost sold-out terrace. The service was smooth and adequate and before we knew it we had a drink in front of us, class. Lunch consisted of pancakes and this actually made everyone happy. The apple strudel pancake is not daily, but it gets a lot of cheers and we also tasted the other pancakes very well. The price quality is very good. Just under €20 for two drinks and a pancake. Dear people, this is a great place to make a stopover.

Vandaag drankje gedaan. Het eerste biertje was goed gekoeld, het 2e biertje lauw. Toen ik hier een opmerking over maakte, werd hier niet op gereageerd. Je mag tóch op een terras verwachten dat de drankjes goéd gekoeld zijn. Bovendien betaal je er ook genoeg voor. Wij komen hier ieder geval niet weer.

We only drank 2 Latte Macchiatos here. The 1st tasted good, the 2nd a little less so. But that could be because the coffee machine had already been turned off because it was almost closing time.
