Bram Ladage Dordrecht in Wijk 01 Binnenstad

We're a huge fan of Bram Ladage's, but the service today was very poor. The peanut sauce tasted very sour. When we pointed this out to the lady at the counter, she immediately said there was nothing wrong with it. After insisting, she tasted it and indeed: it was sour. With a sour face, we were given new fries with mayonnaise. A more customer-friendly approach, without having to persuade anyone, would be more desirable.

I don't normally write reviews, but I just have to share this experience. I got fries on Sunday evening because Bram Ladage is known for quality. Unfortunately, this visit was the exact opposite. When ordering, I clearly indicated it was for two people. Yet, I was practically pressured into ordering a larger portion, because "2-3 people isn't much." We ultimately opted for 3-4, but at home, we found we had to throw away more than half. This doesn't feel like advice, but like pushing for more sales. We also ordered two cheese puffs and a small container of mayonnaise. The snacks were fine, but giving only one tiny container of mayonnaise with such a large portion of fries is completely absurd—especially when you first ask how many people it's for. And then the fries themselves: absolutely terrible. Overcooked, tasteless, and not at all up to the standard you'd expect from Bram Ladage. We had to throw most of them away because they were simply inedible. For €27, you expect decent quality. This was a complete waste of money, and for that price, you should at least expect a decent portion of fries—but not this. A real shame, and definitely not worth repeating for us.

A very rude approach. After consulting with a staff member, I'd ordered a small portion with Parmesan cheese. I received a cone, which was inedible with it, as it's supposed to melt a bit. The older owner, I think, was quite grumpy. She couldn't crack a smile at my suggestion of paying an extra €0.50 for a small dish. Then they threw fries in, and some fell out, which the woman in question denied. I've never been treated so rudely, and now I'm getting a bad response to my legitimate complaint. After consulting with a staff member, they'd decided to bring me the fries in a dish, but the sauce had to be served separately. I was fine with that. The lady in the shop was really very rude and I think it is not nice that I even suggest to pay extra for such a boat and it is done like that, it is just not possible and the lady in question was also rude to other customers and threw the fries in the fat so that I saw it splatter everywhere and I felt sorry for her colleagues really not okay I also see below a report from a customer who I think is talking about the same lady

Bram Ladage is known far and wide in the province of South Holland for it's fresh french fries and snacks. If you're a tourist I'd recommend you to visit it to make yourself familiar with the Dutch patatje speciaal, patatje met, broodje kroket, broodje bal. I live in this city, so I can vouche for them. Eet smakelijk. Cheers.

I come several times and hope that it will get better, but no, each time it gets worse. Today I stood for half an hour to be served. There were 5 people in front of me and they were also served for a long time and when my turn came, the girl at the checkout turned around and started cooking with another. I started waiting and waited for about 15 minutes, there was already a line of 6 people waiting for me in the hall. I couldn't stand it and left. I am also ready to complain about the quality of the products, there are rotten fried potatoes and there is an incredibly terrible smell behind the counter and it is very, very dirty

The only Bram Ladage I know that's inconsistent in its quality. One week you'll have delicious fries, and the next, tasteless, bland food. They fry as sparingly as possible to avoid excessive leftovers. Understandable and good, but when it suddenly gets busy, a crate of pre-cooked fries comes out of the back of the refrigerator, and you know it's disgusting. Whether it's leftovers from the day before, I have no idea, but after all these years, we've certainly noticed.

I don't think the young lady behind the counter likes her job. The fries were really salty. It's a shame I enjoy going there, but the staff were very good.

In general, it's a good place for fresh fries, but I don't recommend going to the one in Dordrecht (a month ago it was still almost decent, but since then I recommend the ones in downtown Rotterdam because the one in Dordrecht is not professional at all...) Wait time: you can wait 15 minutes if you're first in line, or half a day...!!! Quality of fries: the last time I went there, the fries were burnt, not very fresh in texture, and really didn't make you want to eat them... They were out of tomatoes and the 5-person box, and they made me pay more by giving me several small fries boxes. The extra cheese was in the corner of the box like a piece of chewing gum. They dared to serve us spoiled salad, so the whole family had to remove it from the sandwich (it was 6:00 p.m....) Chicken: 3/10 Salesperson: 0/10 (except for a young student who was polite and said hello, embarrassed by his colleague who stared at the customers without saying hello. The customers were all uncomfortable... and the other salespeople didn't seem to want to work and were chatting while the queue grew longer...) Anyway, this is the last time I'll set foot in the Dordrecht one!!! I paid €70 and half my order ended up in the trash... PS: I called to place a polite order and received a very unpleasant response, sending us to their website where you can't even choose the sauce for your sandwich...

Quite expensive, but tasty. If you want to eat the snacks on the spot, make sure you have good and friendly seats. The atmosphere was stressful and then you would rather eat the snacks somewhere else.

Colleagues there to each other so mean🤢 the cashiers always think they are the little boss over other colleagues. Maybe the manager should speak to the colleagues behind the cash register…

Thought I'd have a special frikadel.., what a disgrace. It had no taste at all. I haven't tasted something so artificial for a long time. It was flooded with sauce, that was the only taste you could taste. Bram, just buy real frikandellen again.....

The fries were really delicious – perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They stand out with their freshness and taste, which delights from the first bite. I especially recommend the fries with truffle sauce and parmesan – this unique combination adds character and makes you want to come back for more. A great snack both for a quick break and to share with friends!

Unfortunately I have to come back to my previous positive experience from a few years ago. It all seems to be getting worse and worse at Bram. A good veal croquette with a hard crust is now half the size and comes out of the fryer limp and broken. Portions of fries are also getting smaller and smaller, and peeling is no longer an option. Sorry but for those prices no more Bram for me. I can better go to the supermarket to get stuff from the freezer and throw it in the air fryer. Same quality.. And that recurring story about that one lady behind the cash register who really stands there as if she can't wait to go home and seems completely uninterested? She's still there too :-)

Moderate in quality, being friendly and smiling at customers costs nothing.

Everything that goes through the fryer is fine, but the milkshakes (4) all went into the trash. What a nasty chemical mess is that?! A kind of liquid marshmallow with a lot of coloring that, with the best will in the world, you can't suck it through a straw.

I have been coming to Bram Ladage for years, every branch I have been to the staff has been super friendly. That cannot be said about traffic jam Dordrecht. Blonde lady behind the cash register is downright antisocial. Gives a big mouth when ordering, sighs, rolls her eyes at me and then deliberately skips my order, walks to a colleague and imitates me and laughs at me while they both look at me. I also noticed that they also treated other customers very poorly whose turn it was before me. It was striking that these were all women. I ended up having to wait 10-15 minutes for one soft serve and a milkshake. Scandalous. Judging from the other reviews, this is a more common problem, so it is clearly the fault of this person.

The fries are tasty, but there are a lot of small pieces in between, and that is less, hence 3 stars

Bad experience at Bram Ladage Dordrecht On Sunday February 16, my daughter, who wears a headscarf, had a very unpleasant experience at Bram Ladage in Dordrecht. Around 6 p.m. she went for some fries. She paid for her order as usual, but then had to wait an extremely long time. While she was still waiting, several people who came after her were helped. When she indicated that she was still waiting for her order, she was not taken seriously. Out of frustration, she tried another employee, but again she received no help. The three employees present pretended not to know who was responsible for her order, while in the meantime everyone around her was being helped. It was obvious that they were completely ignoring her. The employee later asked for the receipt, but it was not given, while this should be standard. I think it's scandalous how they treat customers. The behavior of these employees towards ladies wearing headscarves is downright discriminatory. Very disappointing for a Bram Ladage branch in Dordrecht. This is unacceptable. We have been coming to Bram Ladage for years, both in Dordrecht and Rotterdam, and have never experienced anything like this. Customers should be treated equally, regardless of who they are. Very disappointing! They were three young ladies, one with short hair and one with a blonde bun. Here's a tip for the franchise branch manager: recruit your staff with care. Friendly and hardworking staff is a golden investment for your business! I have read in several comments that many customers suffer from poor service and unfriendly staff. This will be the last time we go to Bram Ladage!

The service that Bram Dordrecht offers is limited to the menu. Special customer requests are not possible even if the situation allows this (quiet moment). Response during the moment comes across as curt and blunt and there is no room to be heard.

This Bram is not a real entrepreneur, that is clear.

Coincidentally, I was at this restaurant today and there were employees who treated me in a way that was not respectful They can laugh at me because I don't know their language

The only thing worse than the attitude of the girl behind the counter was the fries. Around 10:30 I walked into the shop and at 4:30 I finally had 1 bag of fries. I think there were 4 or 5 people in the kitchen who either did little or took a break at the busiest time in the business. After I ordered I only heard people say that they had been waiting for a long time, well that wasn't a lie. As soon as it got a little busier (15 to 20) everyone panicked and everything just took longer. No one seemed to be in charge or taking charge, no work structure at all. Better lazy than tired.

Downright nasty fries with mayonnaise. Lots of small inedible pieces and yes, for the price of 4.55 The worst store that exists are also on the market, same story.

Ate two fries and croquette here last week. The potatoes are freshly cut and everyone can see that behind the glass. The young lad who helped us was looking forward to it and was almost drooling over his own product. The better you want to prove that it is right. The croquette was great! In our case the fries had quite a few hard small pieces. It's a pity that delivery is slow with three people behind the counter. Definitely recommended. And empty the trash can on the street on time. Lots of 'BRAM' on the street!

Slowest staff ever on a quiet afternoon, it takes 10 minutes before you are helped and another 15 before you get your fries, staff looks sullen and does not inform you of anything, poor service

I had already bought fries a few times and today again, unfortunately they give me burnt fries and leftovers that you can't eat. I will never buy Bram again and if you want to report the complaint to the manager or manager, you will attack like a barking dog.

We thought the fries were very greasy. Too bad, especially considering the prices they charge. Very expensive. Bram Ladage's experience in Rotterdam is actually always good. Not cheap either, but very tasty.

I politely asked for the sauce separately, they also have containers for that, but they were very difficult about it, but in the end I didn't get anything there.

Traditional fries and worth a recommendation.

Employees didn't feel like it at all and that was immediately noticeable. Looking grumpy and responding curtly. Not a smile was seen on their faces. You could do your work a little more cheerfully because I immediately didn't feel like getting anything anymore.

Ordered 2 small Brammetjes, after waiting 45 minutes, we asked for our money back. They cannot work smart and effectively here. They wait until the snacks from 1 order are ready, while you can also prepare other orders in advance. We are not used to this from other Bram Ladage branches in Rotterdam. De Bram Ladage still has a lot to improve regarding staff and effective working.

Got a Bram in Capelle a/d IJssel last week and it is 1000 times better than Bram in Dordrecht. I don't understand how that is possible because it has been the same song for years. Do they have old oil in Dordt or something? Or do they just not know how to bake? Dirty hard brown here and in capelle golden yellow delicious fries as all blackberries should be.

Een brammetje, is een gegeven. Alleen niet in Dordt. Echt totaal verbaasd, hoe je werd "geholpen" In Gouda centrum is t echt top, zowel de patat als de service, is daar ongekend. Daar kunnen ze in Dordt nog heel wat van leren!! Net als de vorige review, amper aandacht, 15min wachten op 1 patat, wat binnen 5min klaar kan zijn. 1 persoon voor me 😳😳 De punten waren bruin, en de rest bleek, en half gaar. Echt nog nóóit, zo slecht gehad!! En de service was serieus nog slechter. Nog 1x zo, en ik kom er echt niet weer!!

Lekkere verse dikke frieten, Bram Ladage is al jarenlang een begrip in Rotterdam en omstreken.

Zet nu eens nieuw personeel achter de toonbank. Je wordt er nog net niet weggekeken en afgebekt.

Lekkere friet, fijn dat je de sausjes in een los bakje mee krijgt. Wel vrij prijzig voor wat je krijgt. Personeel zou ook wat vrolijker mogen zijn, ze spreken je aan alsof ze liever geen klanten hebben.

De lekkerste patat die er is, alleen de service is echt slecht bij de Bram Ladage! Die meiden die achter de frituur stonden , stonden er maar een beetje bij. Zelf patat te eten en de klanten negeerde ze gewoon. Ik vroeg maar zelf of ik wat mocht bestellen, kreeg ik een schaapachtig antwoord van m'n collega... Toe kwam er dus iemand waar je mocht bestellen. Wat een aanfluiting zeg. De patat is echt lekker maar de service en uitstraling is schrikbarend beneden het verwachte niveau.

Erg aan de prijs geworden, dus gaan we wat minder, helaas

Patatje van Bram blijft lekker. Ben ik mee op gegroeid en 1x in de 2 of 3 maanden gaan we wel van een Patatje genieten. Alleen lastig om een rustig plekje te vinden om te zitten.

Lekker eten. Personeel mag wel wat vriendelijker zijn naar de klant. Vandaar de 3 sterren.

Het hele proces van aardappelen tot frietjes is bij een kraam van Bram Ladage te bewonderen. Het moet dus best eenvoudig zijn om de bereiding thuis na te doen en zelf ook van die lekkere frietjes te bakken. Dat is mij tot nu toe niet gelukt! Voor de lekkerste frietjes dan toch maar even naar de kraam van Bram.

Patat is goed. Personeel ongecoördineerd. Staan met 5 man achter de balie en nog een wachtrij.

De frietjes zijn er erg lekker. Personeel was die dag niet heel vrolijk, kan natuurlijk een keer gebeuren.

Patat van verse aardappels, gefrituurd in nieuwe olie. Ruim voldoende porties, met veel keuzes aan sauzen enz. Snelle en nette medewerkers .

De lekkerste verse patat met pindasaus, en natuurlijk patat is van verse aardappel en zelf geschild en gesneden, lekkerste van heel Nederland 😁😁😁😁😁

De friet is vers en goed gebakken, Ik ben zelf wel voorstander van de echte merken kwa drinken dit was helaas niet waar hun voor staan, vervolgens moet je buiten eten. Niks mis mee maar een heater zou geen luxe zijn of wind schermen. Dit zou de sfeer zeker goed doen
