A lovely, well-maintained, and cozy regional restaurant with friendly and personal service. Excellent service and delicious dishes. There's also a lovely outdoor terrace on sunny days. Besides the regular menu, there's always an extra starter and two main courses (fish or meat). An excellent wine list! We also regularly offer seasonal dishes. Parking is available in the lot behind the restaurant, a one-minute walk away.

This brasserie has a wonderful atmosphere. I also had a fantastic lunch here. I had the fried eggs with bacon and cheese. It was generously filled, and the portions were generous. I was also here on a busy day, but I finished my meal within an hour. Highly recommended if you're in the area and looking for a lunchroom with a good atmosphere and even better service.

Fantastic food, thoroughly enjoyed it, super cozy. Very friendly staff, a warm welcome from the start. It's a shame there aren't more stars, otherwise they would have. Most dishes can be ordered in regular and small sizes. Parking is easy at the back of the square, where there's plenty of space. Reservations are recommended.

We were invited here by friends. It's a large room, arranged with tables and planters so you can't hear conversations at other tables. The food was fantastic. It tasted delicious and looked beautiful. What's also nice for those with smaller appetites is that most dishes can be ordered in normal or small portions. This way, even small eaters can enjoy a three-course meal. One thing I do find a shame, and this is the case in many restaurants, is that they don't use real whipped cream. The staff is attentive and efficient. We had a wonderful evening. Reservations are recommended.

We've been coming here for years, but lately it hasn't been what it used to be. Lots of mistakes are made, the staff is rude, and there's very little choice for people who don't eat meat or fish. If something's wrong with a dish, it's returned to the kitchen without an apology, and then you don't eat together, but separately. It's not a pleasant experience.

We were here with 14 adults to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday! It was simply fantastic. We had a delicious meal, and every request we had discussed beforehand was carefully considered. The family also thoroughly enjoyed all the delicious food served!

I've eaten there a few times now and the service is top notch and the food is good too and I've found my favorite restaurants within walking distance of my house.

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary here with 25 people. What a wonderful evening! The service was extremely friendly and attentive to our 6-year-old granddaughter. Dietary requirements were also very well taken into account. Truly 100% service and fantastic food. A big thumbs up for this restaurant.

In the afternoon we unexpectedly ate here despite the crowds, we were given a cozy table, the tuna salad on bread was delicious, the same beef pieces, more than enough. Service very nice and asked if everything was okay 😁 excellent service

Mijn reactie op dineren bij D’Oude veiling in Zwaag. De ambiance/sfeer is oké, niet modern en ook niet heel oubollig, een beetje gemiddeld met van alles soorten tafels en overige inrichting. Het is ruim opgezet. De keuze in de menu’s is gemiddeld, wel kan je soms kiezen tussen grote en kleine porties, als vegetariër ben je snel klaar met 2 gerechten. De menu’s zijn meest niet groot voor hetgeen je betaald, de meest opvallende was van een mede gast van mij die een kleine tournedos had besteld, ik wilde het woord ach gut niet gebruiken maar als ik het kan inschatten kon deze qua omtrek ongeveer in een Unox leverpastei blikje, maar wel iets hoger maar dan is €28,50 wel een aardige prijs. De bijgerechten bestonden voornamelijk uit friet, friet en enkele bakjes warme en koude groente of salade. Ander opvallend detail, de satés worden aan de spies hangend opgediend, het lijkt soms wel een beetje op een echt dier aan een spies. Sorry. Ook de drankjes zijn terrasprijzen in een grote stad. De bediening is netjes en vriendelijke zoals je verwacht, moest wel naar de keuken voor extra informatie op een vraag en had zich vergist met een nagerecht. Het wachten op een volgende gang was precies goed. Al met al hebben wij overigens wel een fijne avond gedineerd al was de rekening eigenlijk de grootste (maar wel van tevoren gezien) opvaller van de avond.

Gezellig restaurant met goede bediening. We voelden in welkom en gezien als gast. Het eten was goed. Handig was dat je ook kleine porties kan bestellen. Aanrader!

Een leuke en smakelijke avond gehad. De ontvangst is erg vriendelijk en men weet meteen wie je bent. Drankjes worden vlot opgenomen en uit geserveerd. Menukaart volgende snel en heeft veel keuze (voor ieder wat wils). De smaak was goed en porties ruim voldoende. Bediening erg attent en vriendelijk. Alhoewel niet was aangegeven dat het voor een verjaardag was had de bediening / eigenaar dit wel gezien en er invulling aan gegeven - chapeau.

Wij hadden een prima ervaring. Jassen netjes aangepakt. Volle zaak maar vlotte vriendelijke bediening. Attent. Diner lekker en verzorgd ( vistrio ) . Goede koffie met garnituur . Al met al een geslaagde avond. Bij weggaan lagen de jassen al weer netjes klaar!

Very tasty meal. The style of the restaurant may seem a bit old-fashioned, but it fits perfectly with the atmosphere. You're fine. Staff is very neat and professional. Few vegetarian options. Hygiene is perfect. Small cloth towels for every customer in the toilet. Really great service! Recommended.

We ate here on Christmas Day. The food was delicious, there was a good atmosphere and friendly service. There was a special Christmas menu and there was also a Christmas children's menu for children. We had a very nice evening and Santa Claus and one of his elves came by with a press.

Ik was er gister met mijn ouders , dochter en man! Vorig jaar geweest met een groep en was super leuk! Gister de mevrouw die ons bediende heeeeel erg onvriendelijk, voelde ons totaal niet welkom! 1 drankje gedaan en toen weggegaan!

I recently had a kind of tasting here for lunch, including carpaccio. The carpaccio was still frozen and I thought I would mention this because I don't think this is quite the intention. Then I got the answer in a somewhat arrogant tone (I think from the owner) that the carpaccio is indeed frozen and that I should just put it aside. I thought it was a very special comment! I won't go there anymore.

I didn't find the photos on the website attractive, but when we stepped inside I was immediately enthusiastic: a warm atmosphere, lots of nice old things in the shop, fast service and a delicious onion soup. Worth repeating!

It was a lovely place with good food,service and atmosphere my mom and dad ordered the jumbo meat mix and I ordered a hamburger th meat mix came on a hanger and the burger came with 3 union rings

Nicely renovated and very attractive. Menu was fine, but really expensive for a brasserie. An advantage is that you can also get many dishes in small quantities. All in all, a good enough score.

Eerste kerstdag uiteten bij de veiling , gereserveerd, keuzes gemaakt uit het menu , toen we daar aankwamen, hadden ze een fout gemaakt en ons met 10 man een dag later op de lijst gezet . Dus voor de tweede kerstdag , en ja wat ga je dan doen op eerste kerstavond met 10 man waar kan je dan nog terecht, dus veiling bedankt voor deze onvergetelijke kerst schande schande

Uitstekend lekker eten en drinken op het terras buiten

Wat een leuke sfeer hier! Erg vriendelijke bediening. Eten was goed en in een goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. En wat ik echt super vindt, is dat je bij veel gerechten een kleine portie kan bestellen. Het maakte dat wij voor 3 gangen konden gaan. Zouden meer restaurants moeten doen!

Voor het eerst gedineerd bij d'Oude Veiling. Ooit geluncht en dat was toen ook dik in orde. Heerlijke slibtong met gevarieerd couvert (boontjes/peultjes met kaas, bakje pasta met parmezan en gebakken aardappeltjes) en voor de kinderen een kindermenu met een flink stuk (vers) gepaneerde kabeljauw. We wonen in de buurt en komen hier zeker terug! Bediening ook erg vriendelijk.

Heerlijk gegeten, vriendelijke bediening

Gemaakte aardige bediening, eten zeer matig. Als klap op de vuurpijl is voor een fles water die op tafel stond 6 € in rekening gebracht! Dit wordt niet van tevoren medegedeeld. Na telefonische navraag beledigd en verbrak de schijnbaar aardige bediening de verbinding . Wel mochten wij het restant van de fles water ophalen.

Ik ben al een tijdje gestopt met reviews schrijven. Maar in dit restaurant waar ik 36 jaar geleden mijn rijbewijs haalde, vond ik hè teen review waard. Ik heb fantastisch gegeten. Bediening netjes en beleefd. En de gerechten klopte gewoon. De tonijn en coquilles waren mooi in balans. Bavette goed a point gegrild. Risotto iets te sterk met truffel. Maar gaarheid perfect. Dessert is altijd lekker. Enig minpuntje is de snelheid van het serveren. Die was erg hoog. Maar het komt zelden voor dat ik met een blij gevoel weg ga bij een restaurant. We komen zeker een keer terug.

Eten was heel goed vond alleen dat de tafels veel te dicht bij elkaar staan .

Ik kom regelmatig met partner om te lunchen,..ik adviseerde vrienden van mij om gezellig soort van bouwvakborrel te doen vanmiddag,..was verre van gezellig..muziekje van phone moest uit, r zaten wat sjagrijnen en veel kak op terras...jammer, staat zwaag niet om bekend....ik, we zullen gerust nog wel komen lunchen, maar qua gezellig sfeertje op terras. Nope..niet meer...

Restaurant waar je heerlijk kunt eten. Al 25 jaar een begrip in Zwaag en wijde omgeving. Danielle en Andre zijn een goede gastvrouw en heer. Ze zorgen dat je een smakelijke avond heb. De vleesspies was heerlijk, voorgerecht trio van vis en toetje aardbeien dessert.
