Brasserie Pastis in Rosmalen-Noord

Last Tuesday, we had dinner with a party of 5 for our birthdays. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely recommend it.

We ate there because it was so good last time; the service was bad this time. We had to wait a very long time, there was no table service, and a huge bill. It's a shame, because it was good last time, but now it was a real disappointment.

Had a very good lunch with a party of 11. I had the salmon club sandwich myself, but the menu was quite extensive. The dishes of the others looked very good too. Good atmosphere inside, tastefully decorated, spacious layout. Nice terrace, but it was empty due to the weather. If I am ever in Rosmalen again, I know where to go for good food!!

Good place to eat together. Parking is free and close by, making it easy for people with mobility issues to join in. Delicious food and friendly service. Definitely recommended!

Mediocre experience. It takes a very long time for them to come and take our orders. They came to ask for drinks twice in the more than 3.5 hours we were sitting here. The food was very salty, and the red wine sauce looked more like Maggi than red wine; the béarnaise sauce had too much anise. The staff were there to work, not really because they enjoyed it. The price-quality ratio is skewed. The food and drinks are exorbitantly expensive. For the money, you can eat more, tastier, and with more hospitality elsewhere. Unfortunately, not worth repeating for us.

We ate at Pastis last week. And for the price, I had expected a bit more service. Only a few tables were occupied (Sunday, but during the summer holidays), and yet empty glasses were only refilled after raising a hand. The food was delicious, but at 9:15 PM, after dessert, we were asked to order the last round. And the opening hours are listed as midnight. So that really needs to be adjusted on Sundays. Fine, but actually not what we expected. And not for the price we had to pay for the meals. For that price, I expect a bit more hospitality. Nothing but praise for the chefs!

It was very busy, so it took a little longer for the main course to arrive. But the good service and the great atmosphere more than made up for it. A fantastically beautiful place, with a lovely terrace.

We visit Pastis regularly, but unfortunately, the last time was quite disappointing. Several dishes lacked flavor, and the meat was not prepared as desired. Instead of providing proper service, they disagreed. It is a shame, because something like that makes you decide not to go there again.

Nice place and the food was good, but unfortunately, I don't think we will be back anytime soon. And that is a real shame. This has purely to do with the way the (I suspect) owner served; when you run a restaurant, things should be a bit more professional and friendly, and that was really missing. It was also unprofessional to lecture your staff in a way that other guests (us and other guests) could enjoy. The other staff were very friendly and tried their best; it was just sad to see how they handled it. It is a pity, and I hope this feedback actually yields results with this review, because the food was certainly good!

Ridiculously expensive yuppie restaurant. Glass of house wine €7.75. No fries with the main course; they must be ordered separately. Wiener schnitzel is a thin slice of meat, breaded and deep-fried. You are better off eating at an average snack bar. Unfriendly service. Van der Valk is cheaper and many times better. We will never come back here.

The atmosphere was fine; the service was disappointing because the bread roll, intended as an appetizer, was served with the main course. The food wasn't something we'd return for. It lacked flavor.

We had the Mother's Day shared dining brunch for 49.95. I thought it was a real shame that it was far too little, and the warm surprise dishes were not what you would expect from Pastis either. Too bad. We usually eat well here.

Club steak pastis was truly amazing, one of the best-cooked steaks we've ever had. Super tender meat! The surf and turf sushi roll is also highly recommended!

We regularly come here for a bite to eat. We find it very cozy and the staff are friendly. Delicious dishes, and the menu is regularly updated. Sometimes it's a shame when dishes disappear from the menu, but then we try something else. Last night, the four of us had a lovely dinner. We think Pastis is fantastic.

It was great that we were allowed to decorate the room and that they even thought about pink plates. Everything was great, the service was fantastic, and the experience from January was completely worth it! Old review: Last Saturday, I went to Pastis with incredible anticipation. Previous times, it was truly fantastic. Unfortunately, this time, there were a few disappointments. First of all, a big compliment to the chef. The Tomahawk was fantastic! Incredibly well prepared. Unfortunately, the service didn't make the evening any better. After waiting over 40 minutes upon arrival, someone finally came to our table to ask if we wanted to order something. It was a bit difficult, but oh well. Taking our order went fairly smoothly. However, we then had to beckon/ask three times if we could order another drink or dessert. Such a shame. Who knows, maybe I'll try again soon. But for now, I'm not going to Pastis anymore. Tip! The heat from the heaters, plus the burners between the tables, made the room incredibly stuffy and far too warm to sit comfortably. I would turn them down a bit.

Had a lovely lunch a while ago, and now I'm back for dinner. The carpaccio starter was delicious, a generous portion. The 250g Club Steak 'Pastis' I ordered was perfectly cooked, nicely medium-rare... BUT... unfortunately, it was already pre-sliced. About 2-3cm thick 😪. This doesn't detract from the fantastic taste and preparation; however, for my personal experience and that of my guest, it's a bit of a letdown, and in my opinion, incorrect. This is not a club steak! That's a thick, bone-in sirloin steak, cut from the tenderloin. The name comes from the shape of the bone, which resembles a golf club, and is sometimes also called a chuleton. There was no bone! This piece of bone should still be attached, and the club steak should be thickly sliced, about 4cm. What a shame, it's like being served a boneless T-bone or tomahawk. Just as tasty, but Pastis' version is disappointing.

2025 update: Good service and still a varied menu. Had a great lunch. Too bad they don't offer oat or soy milk with the coffee.

We ate here for the first time last Saturday. We weren't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, and we were regularly asked if we were happy with it or if we wanted another drink. Despite it being busy, we didn't have a long wait, and the courses were served simultaneously. Brasserie Pastis offers excellent value for money and a lovely atmosphere. In short, highly recommended! Off the highway in a wonderfully peaceful setting. A few kilometers from the highway, I found this fantastic restaurant.

Yesterday we had lunch with a group of 29 people, it was so beautifully taken care of that we lacked nothing, and it was very delicious. We had a lovely time together, sitting separately in the conservatory.

The food was fine. Not better than that unfortunately... The service was neat, knowledgeable and helpful. And it is a beautiful place. I only found the price too high for the food we have consumed.

We understand very well that a restaurant can be busy, especially at peak times. However, I don't think it's too much to ask politely after an hour of waiting how long it will take for the food to arrive. Unfortunately, my polite question was answered with a snarl, which immediately affected the atmosphere for us negatively. When the food finally arrived, the chicken turned out to be undercooked. Because of the earlier reaction, I didn't dare say anything about it. When asked if it had tasted good, I wisely kept quiet - as an experienced manager, you should also have seen for yourself that this dish was not up to par. We paid the bill properly, but I won't be coming back here. And I will honestly share my experience with others. It's a shame that it had to happen this way, because this could really have been prevented with a little hospitality and attention

The food was delicious, but with a group of 4 heavy smokers next to you, you will be in the smoke all evening. It's a shame that this restaurant chooses to allow smoking on the terrace. Therefore a lower rating for service and atmosphere.

Wij waren 21 april hier voor een feestelijke paasbrunch. Er was muziek. Helaas was deze niet te horen omdat een mijnheer met een gehoorapparaat de muziek te hard vond staan. Het aanbod om in de serre te gaan zitten zonder muziek sloeg hij af. Waarschijnlijk had hij wat veel azijn over zijn eten gedaan. Gelukkig kon de muziek aan toen hij was vertrokken. Tip. Kies voortaan een lunch zonder muziek of blijf gewoon thuis. Het eten was meer dan top. De bediening geweldig en de muziek maakte het feest compleet

We bezochten dit Restaurant veel vaker, en we waren altijd zeer tevreden over het eten…over de bediening soms wat minder..Tweede paasdag hadden we weer vrienden uitgenodigd voor een uitgebreide lunch bij Pastis…het eten was weer prima, maar we konden elkaar niet verstaan vanwege zeer luide onaangename dreun muziek..er was een DJ die er harde muziek verzorgde. Als we gezellig willen tafelen doen we dat liever niet in een restaurant dat meer op een discotheek lijkt…Het resultaat is een zeer slechte herinnering die ons zal weerhouden voor pastis te kiezen..

Tastefully decorated restaurant but little atmosphere. The menu on the internet does not match the menu of the restaurant! Sloppy! Attentive service! Food mediocre. Guinea fowl could have been more tender and cooked. The vegetable supplied was grilled pointed cabbage and it was really not optimal. Excellent fries. Actually, the appetizer was the best part of the meal. A choice of dessert with soft ice cream is really not possible for such a restaurant. Nice espresso, that's for sure.

Had a baby shower here. You get 2 different bread boards, 1 x savory and 1 x sweet. Food was very bad! You had to search for egg salad on your sandwich. And the sweet dishes came from the supermarket and frozen, some things were still frozen inside. Definitely not worth the money they charge for it. There was also live music that was so loud that you could no longer communicate properly with each other. Service and atmosphere were otherwise fine.

This place is in a nice, quiet location. The menu is quite extensive so there is something for everyone. All the people at our table were very happy with the quality and quantity of food. However, they have no idea what a Caesar salad is and how it should be made (see pic). But I find that is a common problem in the Netherlands. The service was really good and the staff were very friendly.

Afgelopen zaterdag met ongelooflijk veel zin richting Pastis gegaan. De vorige keren was het echt fantastisch. Helaas viel er deze keer het een en ander toch tegen. Allereerst groot compliment aan de chef. De Tomahawk was fantastisch! Geweldig goed bereid. De service van de bediening maakte de avond helaas niet goed. Nadat we bij binnenkomst ruim 40 minuten hebben moeten wachten, kwam er toch iemand aan onze tafel of we wat wilde bestellen. Moeizaam maar vooruit.. Het opnemen van de bestelling ging redelijk vlot. Echter hebben we daarna 3x moeten wenken/vragen of nog wat drinken of dessert mochten bestellen. Erg jammer. Wie weet proberen het binnenkort nog een keer. Maar voorlopig ga ik even niet meer naar Pastis. Tip! De warmte van de heaters plus de branders tussen de tafel maakte de ruimte enorm benauwd en veel te warm om fijn te zitten. Deze zou ik minder hard aanzetten.
