Brasserie Tante Pos in Ommen

We gathered here for a birthday celebration in the function room on the first floor. We can't comment on the restaurant on the ground floor. We liked the room, although it could have been a bit warmer. The buffet food was okay, but certainly nothing special. What we liked best was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and competent, and our orders were brought to the tables promptly. Thank you very much!

We had a lovely meal last Sunday with a group celebrating a 75th birthday. When someone in the group turned out to have a fish allergy, they quickly adapted and served something different. Everything was delicious.

I'd heard a lot about it beforehand, but it was quite disappointing. The starters were very spicy, the main courses were dry meat with mashed vegetables and something that looked like fries. And we were seated in a spot where the waitstaff couldn't reach the table because a guy at the table next to us was too lazy to let them through. Plates were passed over a fence. A real shame, I won't be back.

Where else do they serve a cookie, a handful of tumtummetjes, and a generous dollop of real whipped cream with a cup of coffee? At Tante Pos in Ommen! Delicious. Add a hazelnut meringue and cheesecake, and your day is complete. Friendly, attentive service in a beautiful building in the center of Ommen. Highly recommended!

Very good, nice atmosphere and excellent food.

We visited the terrace this afternoon. It's a beautiful location, with a lovely terrace and friendly service. However, we ordered a deluxe mix with our drinks, which was a 10-euro mistake. It was more of a luxury, nothing special. In hindsight, we should have just gone for the bitterballen.

The food was delicious. It's always great for me because I have celiac disease (gluten-free) and I don't have to think twice. Just let them know when you make your reservation, and they'll make sure everything is taken care of. Fantastic!

Eat and drink here. Friendly and efficient service. It's always busy. That's saying something.

The accessible toilet was a flop... no wheelchair could fit, only a grab rail against the wall. It was very difficult for the person who needed it. While VTV had called and asked... yes, they had a accessible toilet... yes, a sticker on the door... VERY EMBARRASSING.

Enjoy a pleasant lunch at a prime location in Ommen. Delicious croquette sandwich and an excellent Frappuccino. We had to wait a bit for our order to be taken, but the delicious food made up for it.

First of all: the bread was gone... The staff didn't offer any alternatives either. The service was also a bit chaotic, with both ours and our neighbors receiving the wrong food. We took it back to the kitchen and got a new plate. The food itself was good; the mixed grill was well-prepared, the spare ribs were relatively small, and they didn't ask if there were enough fries or sauce. With minor improvements, it's quickly resolved.

Last weekend we dined at Brasserie Pos. We were warmly welcomed, and the service truly deserves a compliment: friendly, attentive, and with a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere that perfectly matched the restaurant's atmosphere. The starters were also a hit – tasty, beautifully presented, and exactly what you'd hope for the first course of a night out. Unfortunately, the main course didn't quite live up to expectations. The plates arrived somewhat chaotically, and the stew and spare ribs in the mixed grill, in particular, left much to be desired: bland and lacking in character. A shame, because you expect a bit more spice from such a dish. We paid promptly afterward, and when we mentioned our disappointment with the main course, nothing was done about it – no question, no apology, no "so sorry to hear that." All in all, an evening with a strong start, but a somewhat lackluster finish. Hopefully, next time we'll have a more balanced experience, because the potential is definitely there.

We had a delicious meal at Brasserie Tante Pos today. Our dogs were welcome and received a pet-friendly welcome; they received a dog biscuit and a bowl of water upon arrival and during breaks. Great restaurant: good and fast service!

Staff are unfriendly. They want to overcharge. They're sloppy. They're already removing all the cushions and plants at 9 p.m., even though they close at 10 p.m. Hospitable??? No.

Zeer onvriendelijk personeel dat al 1,5 uur voor sluitingstijd het terras om je heen af te breken en ondertussen vergeten ze de mensen die nog wat willen bestellen. Daarna proberen ze je ook nog meer drankjes af te laten rekenen dan je daadwerkelijk hebt besteld

Tante pos is mooi verbouwd van binnen. Je kunt er gezellig dineren. Wij kozen voor een mix aan voorgerechtjes, erg lekker. Het hoofdgerecht van mijn man de pasta met kip was heerlijk. zelf ha dij het runderstoofpotje. Die vond ik beduidend minder. Tevens zat er wel erg veel zout op de friet die wij erbij kregen. Wat jammer is, is dat ik mijn 2de glas wijn had besteld de bediening de onderkant niet goed schoon had gemaakt waardoor de rode wijn op mijn witte broek kwam. Ik heb dit aangegeven, ze boden excuses aan en een doekje. Bij het afrekenen nogmaals aangegeven dat ik een dikke vlek in mijn broek heb van de rode wijn doordat zij de glazen niet schoon hebben gegeven. Er werd weer alleen excuses aangeboden. Ik had het op zijn minst netjes gevonden als ik een drankje of iets van het huis had gekregen.

Het eten is prima, hoewel de kaart ter plekke weinig overeenkomsten had met de kaart op de website. De bediening door de dames redelijk toch goed, de jongeman die ons tafeltje onder zijn hoede had was dramatisch. Het eerste drankje ging goed, het tweede drankje kwam niet en toen wij, vriendelijk vroegen waar het bleef, werden wij vervolgens genegeerd. Het hoofdgerecht hadden we al op toen nog altijd de bijbehorende frites en salade niet geserveerd waren. In de tussentijd had geen enkel personeelslid onze kant op gekeken. Ook aan de belendende tafel ontbrak de salade. Toen uiteindelijk gereageerd werd op ons zwaaien, boog de jongeman vlak voor onze tafel af om borden te ruimen. ( deze mensen hadden niet gewenkt). Toen wij uiteindelijk de aandacht kregen was zijn antwoord ‘ o, hebben ze het niet geserveerd, ik zal eens kijken. Uiteindelijk kregen we voor 1 persoon geserveerd, terwijl we met zijn tweeën waren. Wij hebben ons al die tijd vriendelijk gedragen. De excuses kwamen van een van de vrouwelijke personeelsleden, niet van de jongeman in kwestie.

During our week in Ommen we ate and drank here more often, on the terrace and inside. The food is really tasty and the service very friendly. We felt immediately at ease. Will definitely come back here. Thanks!

Appetizer, sandwich and starter, much too quickly one after the other. No time for your appetizer and sandwich. Blunt knife. Cold plate with main course. Unfortunately for both main courses cold vegetables and mashed potatoes. Friendly staff who brought a bowl of warm vegetables after the meat was almost gone. I often went to brasserie Tante Pos and am used to better. Unfortunately.

Delicious food, friendly service. Didn't have to wait long for our food despite the terrace being completely full. The meat was super tasty, fries delicious thick fries with tasty mayo. If we are in Ommen again we will definitely come here again for dinner

Eten was niks aan, 2 kroketten op n bord gegooid met kaal broodje erbij. bediening zonder enige aandacht. We hebben daarna nog ergens anders wat gegeten.

We zaten gisteren heerlijk op het terras met een aardige jongen die ons bediende. Lekker aan een wijntje en een biertje met onze zoon en hond. Op zich nog prima. Maar toen begon het ik heb een gluten en melkeiwit intolerantie en word ziek als ik dat eet maar daar zouden ze rekening mee houden. Ik kreeg een carpaccio zonder kaas wat als berg opgemaakt was. Maar bovenop de berg lag een pretzel. Ik zei:" maar die kan ik toch niet eten?". Waarop de kok ( die bracht het ) zei dat dat van tomaat was en tegelijkertijd pakte hij bord uit mijn handen en liep boos weg. Hij zei nog als je het niet vertrouwd dan neem ik het eeer mee. Verbaasd keken mijn man en ik elkaar aan. Want als ik het mocht eten dan hoefde hij toch niet boos weg te stormen. Mijn man liep naar de keuken om er wat van te zeggen en dat hij niet zo hoefde te reageren tegen zijn vrouw aangezien zij er ziek van wordt. Die man gaf als antwoord dat hij hier geen tijd voor had. En dat hij dit wel vaker had meegemaakt ofzo dus dat hij dan liever een andere maakte. Mijn man zei dat als hij normaal had geantwoord er niets aan de hand was geweest en we gewoon konden eten. Vervolgens kwam hij weer naar buiten dit keer een bord zonder pretzel maar wat tomaatjes. Nou het was zo snel dat hij de pretzel er gewoon had afgehaald denk ik, maar dat terzijde. Ik probeerde nog een keer uit te leggen dat het gewoon een vraag van mij was of ik het wel kon eten enz enz maar meneer had hier duidelijk geen tijd voor en zin in en zei:" Nou wat gaan we doen, gaan we nog verder of niet".. Toen zei mijn man:" Nou als u Nou gewoon aan uw werk gaat dan gaan wij eten ". Toen werd die man weer boos en zei:" dat bepaal jij niet" ..en liep weg. Mijn man was laaiend en ik super verbaasd hoe zoiets kleins zo uit de hand kon lopen. Wij snapte er niets van maar onze eetlust was wel weg. We hebben onze drankjes betaald en zijn vertrokken. Nog nooit zijn we zo onbeschoft en respectloos aangevallen bij een restaurant

Very beautiful restaurant, nice cozy atmosphere. They immediately brought us very tasty and warm bread with butter and sauce. We ordered: zucchini and tomato soup; Appetizers: blood sausage and shrimp; Main courses: ribeye with fries; pork in bacon; salmon; desserts: cheesecake. Total: tomato soup for everyone, very tasty squash soup; I didn't like the blood sausage, but the shrimp were tasty. Ribeye - mmm, normal, but it’s hard to call it a steak, it tastes more like stew. Pork in bacon - some liked it, others not so much. All main dishes came with salad (cabbage, carrots, cucumber, pepper, tomato, lettuce - in its own juice - I didn’t really like it) and French fries, some dishes also came with vegetables, which were not tasty since they were boiled. The salmon was ok, served with boiled vegetables. The cheesecake is very beautifully presented: with ice cream and whipped cream - normal. This was our second visit to the restaurant after a year, and overall, the experience was once again pleasant and satisfying. We ordered steaktartaar, ribeye, mixed grill, and cheesecake trifle. All the main dishes were delicious and well-prepared. The ribeye was served with vegetables and French fries. The fries were crispy and flavorful, but the vegetables were almost cold, which slightly affected the enjoyment of the dish. The steaktartaar had a unique presentation, which was visually interesting. Personally, I felt it was missing some of the usual accompaniments that bring out the full flavor of a tartare, but overall, it was still tasty and fresh. The mixed grill was a highlight — all the meats were high quality and well-cooked, and even the ribs were tender and flavorful, which is not always the case with mixed platters. Unfortunately, the dessert - cheesecake trifle - was underwhelming. It felt too heavy in both texture and flavor, and after the excellent mains, it left a somewhat disappointing final note. Another downside was the temperature in the restaurant — it was very cold throughout the evening. We mentioned this to the waiter, and whether anything was done about it or not, we couldn’t tell, as it remained cold until the end of our dinner, which definitely impacted the overall comfort. Despite a few drawbacks, the restaurant left a positive impression, and we were happy to return. We’ll likely visit again, hoping to try other dishes and looking forward to the same high standard — hopefully in a warmer setting next time.

Nice tent, found a bit on the fly while looking for a sunny terrace. First sat outside in the sun, then covered with a heater to relax! Food was fine, especially for the price. We were served by a young lad who was very nice! Will come back here again.

Ham sandwich and bouncer. I just didn't want brie on the ham and that was no problem. The food was delicious and we were very satisfied. Too bad you always get zero orange juice without asking if we want it. I'm not allowed zero drinks myself and unfortunately I forgot to ask. It is highly recommended to enjoy the sun and food here.

Vanavond gegeten bij Tante Pos in Ommen. Bediening ok! Eten kortom slecht! Spareribs veel vlees, veel vet en weinig rib! Zag er onaantrekkelijk uit en was niet lekker! Niet gedacht gegeven reputatie van dit Restaurant. Kopje koffie van de zaak was wel op zijn plaats geweest!

Beautifully renovated business: modern with atmosphere! Very friendly service. Starter (carpaccio) was delicious! Main courses of salmon and spare ribs were a bit disappointing (a bit on the dry side), but the chicken fillet was good. Desserts were tasty!

Mooi restaurant, vriendelijk personeel. Lunch was lekker en netjes opgemaakt. Het was zo druk dat we aan de bar moesten zitten, en hier had je een leuke kijk in de open keuken en direct in de bar. Fijne sfeer. Toiletten schoon. Prijzen zijn in verhouding, maar alles is tegenwoordig wel aan de hoge kant helaas. Goudkleurig bestek zou trouwens naar mijn mening nog leuker staan in deze mooie setting als finishing touch, maar dat is een persoonlijke mening ;).

Tante Pos heeft een smaakvolle metamorfose ondergaan. Helaas niet doorgezet in de kwaliteit van de keuken. Vegetarische pasta was lauw en de burrata als een koude hap er bovenop. Rib eye taai, varkenshaas oké maar niet bijzonder, chicken wings zijn geen wings. De verwarming mag welke enkele graden hoger want het was echt koud in het restaurant . Bediening weer uiterst vriendelijk en gastvrij.

Tasteless spareribs in a cold store. Despite reporting twice, no action was taken. As a customer you do not feel heard or taken seriously. Not worth repeating.

A beautiful restaurant, but the food? Very disappointed, pork tenderloin... how dry do you want it, terrible. The plate was stone cold instead of warm. Once but never again they will see me there again.

Héérlijk gegeten! De soep was zeer smaakvol en het hoofdgerecht was uitermate- en verrassend lekker.De bediening kon veel informatie geven over de smaken van verschillende speciaal bieren en was uitermate vriendelijk en spraakzaam. De ambiance was smaakvol,gezellig en warm. We zijn in tijden niet zó lekker en aangenaam uit eten geweest.

Delicious food in a great atmosphere, but it's a shame that we were almost chased away at the end. Coming 4 times to ask if everything was to your liking is really excessive and gives your customers the feeling that they have to leave.

Af en toe zijn wij een aantal dagen in Ommen en hebben al eerder gegeten bij Tante Pos. Het restaurant is pas verbouwd en heel mooi en sfeervol geworden. Heel vriendelijk personeel dat echt de tijd voor je neemt. De kaart heeft mooie gevarieerde en aparte gerechten. Heerlijk broodje van het huis vooraf. De voorgerechten werden al vlot geserveerd. Wij hadden duo van zalm en steak tartaar. Allebei heerlijk en mooi opgemaakte borden. Als hoofdgerecht hadden de mannen een mixed grill van 4 vleesgerechten. Nog nooit zulke goede spareribs gehad (zat veel vlees aan). De dames hadden een warm voorgerecht (ossenhaaspuntjes) als hoofdgerecht. Ook heerlijk en voldoende. De nagerechten waren apart en lekker. De pauzes tussen de verschillende gangen waren prima. De eerdere (slechte) recensies verbazen ons. Wij hebben alles als uitstekend ervaren.

Delicious food and more than enough.

We had high expectations after the mustard soup. But the chicken was bone dry, broccoli was still raw, the potato wedges were black. The spareribs tasted like wood. Very disappointing

Had high tea. Was fine but missed the savory hot snacks. So not very special. The hot water is not in a nice teapot but in a thermos. Which really bothered us. There was a couple behind us with a large dog. Fine, but the waiter was constantly hugging and petting him. And hey, he went back to work. And that without washing his hands. Very dirty.

The food was of good quality and deliciously prepared. The wait staff was friendly, but not alert. Shame.
