They're good, but very expensive. I paid €8.75 for a regular grilled cheese sandwich. A ham and cheese sandwich is nothing special. Normally, you pay around €4.25 for a grilled cheese sandwich. A more expensive one, of course. This is very expensive. Maybe adjust the price? It's not in proportion to what you get. Answer to the question A grilled cheese sandwich like the one I described above. I can't answer the question directly. I initially thought I was getting a Croc Monsieur for the money.

Delicious food, friendly staff and a relaxed and cozy atmosphere!

The lunch was super delicious, everything was well taken care of. Friendly staff and helpful. You can sit outside or inside.

What a beautiful concept. Good food, good people. Nice, friendly service by boys and girls who cannot do everything due to their mental disability. They are at their best in this place. This indoor and outdoor location will overlook Capelle's most beautiful city park in August. So now it's still a bit messy but... wonderfully cozy near the modernized shopping center of Capelle. My lunch, 3 fried eggs without cheese with roasted vegetables, tasted and was served beautifully. Cosy, tasty, fun and the shopping center next to you. In short, try and taste the atmosphere, which keeps getting better.

Nice place to have lunch or high tea. But also for coffee and brownie! And then also being serenaded by staff because it was my husband's birthday.

Nice Welcome, The service is friendly, pleasant and quick. Upon arrival, you are politely walked to the table. Here you get a good coffee such as the heurt, cookie, small water and whipped cream with liqueur. We were inspired by the recommendation on the menu katsu Sando (Japanese sandwich). What a delicious dish!

The people here are very nice and you will be helped quickly. The food and coffee was tasty too. It is nice to sit in the library for the atmosphere. Positively surprised and definitely recommended!

We were here on a Monday and the salad with our sandwiches was clearly not fresh. Prices are quite on the high side, but of course you are supporting an excellent initiative.

Cappelle aan de IJssel, I had heard a lot about it, and indeed nothing to complain about, had a delicious high tea with my friends.

Nice, cozy place on the town square. I had tea and a blondy stroopwafel, it was delicious and the service and hospitality of all the staff was good. Went again today and paid with a gift card. It's nice that this doesn't have to be spent all at once, they have simply written down the remaining amount. Ordered 1 cappucino and a dish of 4 different brownies. They were delicious snacks.

We took a lunch platter for 2 people. Was very tasty and extensive; soup, brie, chicken, bread, 2 salads and nachos. Service is super friendly, staff really does their best, even if not everything goes smoothly. But guidance responds very relaxed to this. I will definitely go back more often.

If you are ever grumpy, go here. After lunch you walk home with a big smile. Good staff, pleasant, genuinely friendly. And good food

Brownies and Downies is currently one of the most beautiful catering establishments that exist. Friendly people, good food and always fun.

Food is perfect, nicely served, sometimes it is busy so you are placed in the library.

Bread tasted as if it was just selfbaked. Kroketten tasted very good and were served with marinated veggies and mustard sauce that was a great addition. We really enjoyed our lunch. Highly recommended! I'll come back for sure

Best breakfast ever and the people who work there are super sweet and respectful... best coffee too... normally I always have something to complain about, but I have nothing to complain about with them, I have found my regular breakfast spot.

This is the 2nd time I eat in restaurant Brownies and Downies in Capele and Almere!! Really tasty food and really nice fast service. Very nice help and also beautiful products. Today we had the honor of trying out the new tea sensation, namely a teapot that you place above your tea glass and pour itself empty. Awesome!! I think you can also buy this teapot there soon.

Brown and Downies, Redwing: Great experience! The service is friendly and attentive. The brownie pancake is a heavenly treat - rich, moist and perfectly baked. A must-try for every sweet tooth! There is a nice atmosphere. Handy to make a reservation in the afternoon.

An absolute gem. The food was amazing (the brownies are okay, definitely less fresh and more grocery store like) However the food we ordered was very fresh and became our favorite breakfast/brunch place. It's also located right next to the library so it's a great place for families. Highly recommend. The staff are all very friendly.

We go often to this place to lunch. Good brownies (I am baker myself and not so often I say those words) good coffee and not typical “Dutch” sandwiches. And of course always happy to see that all people can get an opportunity to work and enjoy life 🫶🏻I love this service;)

Wederom is het goed verzorgt, vriendelijk personeel. Lunchplankje met glas witte wijn kan ik zeker aanraden. Hierna een kopje koffie met een heerlijke brownie. Wij waren hier niet de eerste keer en ook zeker niet voor het laatst. Een ster minder voor sfeer komt door de aanwezige bibliotheek. Zit je aan het einde met je rug naar de winkel dan heb je het gevoel dat je in de bibliotheek zit. Ik vind dat niet fijn

Wat een leuke zaak waar met enthousiasme gewerkt word

Altijd gezellig om hier binnen te lopen en vriendelijk ontvangen te worden door de medewerkers. Heerlijke brownies en goede koffie en thee. Verder is het ideaal dat het grenst aan de bibliotheek van Capelle waardoor het voor onze jongste zoon heel makkelijk was om geïnteresseerd te raken in boeken en (voor)lezen.

Leuk om is wat anders te doen personeel ( de downies ) zijn altijd ook super gezelig en vriendelijk 🙂
