Very tasty bread. The opening hours are somewhat limited - the store opens late (after breakfast). At the Noordermarkt on Saturdays, the breads and croissants do not always seem to be fresh / baked the day before.

The croissant is ok but absolutely overpriced. I understand the work behind and Rotterdam’s rent prices but 4€ for a croissant is ridiculous.

kind service, authentic spot, smells very nice inside! got a yumsies croissant, perf crispness and buttery layers on the inside, was an experience eating it! Wish there was a spot to hang out inside, because the atmosphere is really cozy and great!

What a nice and good bakery, delicious bread varieties. Not the cheapest but certainly value for money. Come especially from Ridderkerk to buy bread here. Top.

Got 2 baguettes at the Harvest Market for €8.50 I was shocked by this, €4.25 for 1 baguette is very expensive. At Jordy's you also have good baguette for €2.10. I like the one from das Brot the best and it tasted delicious with the cheese fondue.

Super tasty, very dark bread. With rye and pumpkin seeds and very heavy. It cost 9.50 euros. Go eat this, so delicious!!! Shop is small, but super nice. You can also take a seat outside at a table.

not at the place, but at their stall at Noordplein on saturday. The croissants are OK but I was shocked to pay 10 euro for two - she had already wrapped them up, so I was too embarrassed not to pay! Wish there had been price indicated somewhere. I guess the lamination is ok, and I see people like their normal bread. I won't be buying any more croissants from them, that's for sure! the french would say: 'c'est too much' about the almond croissant.

Small, nice bakery with very friendly staff. However, I have one criticism of the crusty bread - it would have been nice if we had known beforehand that it contained caraway. Not everyone likes caraway seeds. Otherwise, the crusty bread has a nice crust, the core is rather soft (probably adapted to the Dutch palate) and the bread is flat. The onion bread is really good and super tasty. Unfortunately it is very small - about the size of two rolls. The cinnamon rolls are delicious on their own, but mine had a fat caramelized sugar crust on the bottom that made the whole thing too sweet. The idea itself is nice, but it's too intense. I will come back and try the other breads ^^.

If you are like me and love that type of sourdough bread that is substantial and wholesome, while at the same time airy and moist, with a gorgeous crust: this is the place to go. Trust me. Luckily there are more and more bakeries making this type of bread nowadays, but this tiny bakery has remained by far my favourite in Rotterdam.

I took the German rye bread (Frankisches Krustenbrot mini (90% rye)). The texture and scent of herbal mix appeals to me. It's the first time I was here. They helped me quickly. The bread smells delicious. I recommend it to everyone!

Value for money - very good baker. My tip is rye bread with a crispy crust (be sure to have it cut!). Pretzels without an excessive salt crust and much more.

I was looking for sourdough bread and this is the best! Also, the croissants are delicious! I can taste the love you put in your bread.

The bread was nice but the pretzels were way too dry, tough and expensive (3,50€) compared to the German original I buy back there.

I've finally found tasty bread in the Netherlands! Took the one which you can use as per one of reviews below to 'use to build a house' and it was delicious. Croissants were the best I've ever ate. Would have put an extra star for 'sarky comments' but we're limited to 5 stars only. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The croissant that beats all croissants. You won't find a better one in France. Chocolate and cheese croissant were insane! Stunning

To summarise: everything these people make is delicious. The star of the show, their breads, are really well made with fantastic flavour and superb texture. But there's more. Croissants, cookies, savoury pastries... The croissants, and especially the almond and chocolate croissants, are just beautiful. These bakers know what they're doing, delicious.

Eine kleine und etwas versteckte Bäckerei, die mich mit handwerklichen Backwaren beeindruckt hat. Leider konnte ich nur drei verschiedene Cookies kaufen und zu zweit verköstigen. Da jene schon sehr gut waren; wie gut werden, dann die Sauerteig Brote dort sein?!

Gisteren weer 4 broden en croissantjes gekocht. Schrok niet bij het afrekenen want het brood is van superieure kwaliteit en daar mag best flink voor betaald worden. Las bij 1 van de reviews dat men liever het brood bij de supermarkt koopt omdat het das Brot hard van structuur is. Nou gelukkig hoef ik nog geen kleefpasta of Kukident te gebruiken.

After years of thinking all I could get was toast bread without structure here in Rotterdam, I am so glad to have found this bakery that sells bread with hard crust and internal structure. I’ve enjoyed all the breads I have tried so far.

Wat een fijne en heerlijke winkel! De houten kast waar t brood in ligt vind ik echt geweldig! De pretzels zijn in een woord FANTASTISCH! En wat een prachtig en lekker brood! Je krijgt een goeie uitleg over wat het brood inhoudt, wat erin zit enz enz.

Echt lekker! Wel prijzig maar dan heb je ook wat. Aardige mensen.

Prachtig zaakje met leuk personeel. No-nonsense bakkerij met heerlijk brood. Vergeet al het brood dat je ooit per ongeluk kocht in de supermarkt en ga voortaan hier heen. Dan eet je tenminste echt brood. Da's pas brood!

It’s a really good place. We tried several types of bread there. Mohnbrot was really interesting, great flavour and everything you expect from a nice freshly baked bread. Others were a bit less special considering their high price: 6-7 euros. Anyways highly recommendable to try!

Found by a lucky coincidence, one of the BEST bread I’ve ever had! I can’t wait to try the croissants!

‘Hidden in plain sight’ naast een van de drukste winkelstraten van de stad, recht tegenover Kino vindt je Das Brot. Wat een geweldige bakkerij, echt brood zoals het hoort. Duitse stijl zuurdesem van de hoogste kwaliteit vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Naast brood vindt je er ook een selectie van zoete producten en de lekkerste handgemaakte croissants. Ook een kleine selectie aan natuurwijnen lokale producten. Must go voor iedereen die van goed eten houd.
