The service that evening was lackluster. There were two of us there, after a six-hour journey, and we just wanted a bite to eat. That was apparently too little for the staff... We simply felt like we weren't particularly welcome as guests.

We came here for a drink and ordered an Irish coffee and a Spanish coffee. To our surprise, we paid €22 for these two drinks. That's on the high side, especially since the price wasn't clearly displayed on the menu. On average, you pay a maximum of €8.50. Cafe de Waag costs €7.50, Dagvisser €8.50, and high-end beach bars like Barbarossa cost €9.50! The service was otherwise excellent and the atmosphere was good, but this surprise on the bill somewhat dampened the sense of hospitality. Tip for the establishment: be more transparent about the prices of specials.

Had a delicious meal yesterday at this cozy cafe! The atmosphere was warm and casual, exactly what you hope for on a night out. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food tasted great. A really nice place to sit down for a tasty snack. We love coming here!

Annoying that smoking is allowed on the terrace among the people eating, and the dessert is not worth €8.50, 3 scoops of ice cream in a small bowl with some sauce and a few nuts. When we reported this to the waiter, he said: I won't do it... well, I know that too, not worth repeating for us.

We came for a family brunch and found a lovely place that provided tasty food and a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you.

Nice place for a snack and drink, always a cozy atmosphere and lovely on the terrace when the weather is nice. Been a number of times now with colleagues for lunch, drinks and dinner. The snacks in particular are very popular

Special event, monthly Thai food menu

A very cozy and appealing atmosphere. Excellent pimientos padron. Good beer. The banka beer is very tasty. It worth a visit.

The food is very mediocre, especially for the very high prices. We had avocado toast with radish and extra bechamel sauce for €11.75 and a vitello tonnato sandwich for €13.50. The avocado toast in particular was 1 white toasted sandwich, with less than half radishes and a quarter of avocado. Furthermore, the coffee is often not tasty, sour or burnt. I think they need to adjust the machine or grinders better.

Cocktail Monday was great! Good prices and perfect cocktails.

Gingen hierheen voor drankje en dessert. Drankje (wijn) was prima. Maar serveerster wist niet of ze grappa in huis hadden (wist denk ik niet eens wat grappa is). Dessert (verse chocolademousse met bolletje en rabarber oid) was helemaal niks. Netjes feedback doorgegeven (oa verse chocolademousse bleek mini taartje te zijn met wat verspreide hagelslag). Serveerster leek verbolgen en ging doorgeven aan keuken. Heb niks meer gehoord. Ook geen excuses oid. Mevrouw zat nog wel in bar te bellen. Ook geen groet of zo. Heb netjes bij andere serveerster betaald inclusief fooi. Kom hier voorlopig niet meer. Geen aanrader. Ben al jaren klant. Maar dit vonden wij bijzonder vreemd

Fried potato with truffle mayo was so nice.

We had a delicious meal with a large group of colleagues and then with a friend and the children. They love the burger and, as a vegetarian, I love the cauliflower dish; everything is so tastefully prepared and smooth & friendly service.

I recently paid EUR 16 for a mojito which was just a normal mojito. Is this a normal price?? This is not a 5 star restaurant or hotel or amazing view, where you would pay this price. Feels like a rip off.

Cosy café in a posh neighbourhood in The Hague. Food options are somewhat out of the ordinary but diverse, fresh, well prepared and presented. It's not a full blown restaurant but it's no café either. It's a good place to wake up on a lazy summer morning with plenty options for food and drinks. Brunch, lunch, dinner, anything is possible. They have excellent burgers, eggs and coffee.....

Such a cozy Spot in the Hague. They had a variety of foods on the Menu and the drinks tasted amazing. The lovely waitresses Anna & Kira were super friendly and the conversations with them truly made my day :) can definetly recommend.

Paying 12 euro for 3 eggs on ordinairy toast is way over the top. For that amount of money you would atleast aspect fancy bread and garnish and maybe a dip. Thus was certainly NOT worth it.

I visited Cafe Banka as part of a works dinner. The serre wasn’t done yet so we sat inside. The meal was surprisingly good. I did have the tuna tartare, followed by the sea bass catch of the day and the cheese cake to finish. All that washed down by some Leffe, Sauvignon Blanc and a Jagermeister. Amazingly good and better than expected with a friendly professional service to go with it. Very much worth coming back to.

Nice restaurant, quick and friendly service, food very good - although the size of the portions “leaves room for a second course” (just as a warning), the prices are rather high. We sat in the winter garden, which itself was quite comfortable (although a little cramped); But above all, the available light was barely enough to read the menu :-/ (yes, 20 years ago things might have been different…) Nonetheless, we will certainly keep the place “on our radar” for future visits to the area :-)

A beautiful neighborhood cafe. Sat outside in the sun and watched people go by on Bankastraat. Very flavorful vegetarian food and knowledgeable and friendly servers.

Na een lange en enerverende dag kwamen we min of meer toevallig hier terecht. Wat was dat een aangename verrassing. Superlekker eten en gastvrije bediening. Ik had gele curry en vooraf een bloemkool gerechte. Goddelijk gewoon! Helaas hadden we geen tijd voor dessert. Als we nog eens in Den Haag zijn, komen we graag terug!

This bar is a really nice local spot that has been bought and refurbished from an old bruin cafe run by an older couple from the area. The food is nice and the drinks are good. The snacks and drinks are relatively expensive. Although they regularly do cocktail nights through which you can get good value.

Een grote Witbier €11! Dat is echt to much. Lunch, 1 boterham, wel smakelijk belegd maar €13,50??? Dat is veel voor weinig.

prima cafe op leuke locatie. prijs pittig en ook porties Hollands klein. ik kan niet wennen aan een mooi wijnglas met een bodempje wijn voldoende voor een paar nopjes en dat voor €6. kom op mensen de krimpflatie slaat overal toe.

Ik had een cola besteld. Ik kreeg het in een heel mooi glas met veel ijs en een verse citroen erin. Heel lekker en het de prijzen waren heel erg redelijk! De bediening is aardig en attent. De sfeer was binnen én buiten heel goed. Buiten is er zelfs een scherm tegen de wind. Het ligt wel aan een best drukke weg wat wel een minpuntje is.

Heerlijk gegeten, vriendelijke bediening, lekkere Serre met airco. Ik ben een thee sommelier en de Gin&Tea was voor mij een nieuwe ervaring en vond het geweldig! Ik kom hier graag terug!

Don't understand any of the negative reviews. The people are friendly and the food is delicious. Especially loved the eggplant. We go here a lot and it never fails!
