Great atmosphere. Unfortunately, the opening times are not transparent. Sometimes there are private parties and sometimes it is completely closed for no reason. On other days it closes earlier for no reason. No sign or anything like that outside. The owner is very nice and accommodating. The drinks tasted good. Unfortunately there is apparently no more food from week 36. You can only consume drinks. Unfortunately for us German tourists the opening times were quite unclear.

Since 2022, I have been coming to Sophie and Ansfried every Sunday afternoon, it is a super cozy cafe, the hostess is a winner, one in a million, everyone makes contact with each other, the atmosphere is cozy, the music is great and you can dance with each other. .. and the location is the icing on the cake.. Is the owner aware that the name of her cafe is the same as the movie 'Sophies choice'. This is about the choice that a woman had to make during the Second World War between which of her two children should go to the gas chamber in the concentration camp. After making her choice, the child she had not chosen is sent to the gas chamber. Because this film is well known, I think that this name was probably somewhere in the back of the owner's mind and she thought it was a nice name, without making the link with the film. Is that right? I assume that this name was not chosen with malicious intent, but I would like to suggest that the name be changed. I think that's so respectful.

Goede morgen, ter info : op FB kwam ik de naam van dit Cafe tegen en de zondagmiddag werd gepromoot als de geschikte middag voor de alleenstaanden onder ons. Gezellig cafe met echte horecamensen met hart voor hun klanten. Prima (feest)locatie met een perfect biertje (met vaak een hapje). Aanrader

Gezellig cafe, met leuk personeel. Altijd in voor een gesprek. Je kunt er lekker dansen , wel op muziek ( afspeellijst van de computer) het is kleinschalig, en er is ook een buitenterras met uitzicht over de maas. Dit leuke plekje is in Kerkdriel
