Perfect neighborhood cafe. The best innkeeper in Waalwijk. And on Wednesdays and Fridays they can also cook delicious food.

4 stars. The bitterballen screamed louder than the karaoke machine, but it was Jochem who really made us listen. We came for a drink. My wife ordered "something with fire" three times and then started dancing to something she described as "post-Boney M with social depth." I stayed put. Outside. Under a parasol that had been bent by the wind and memories. Then Jochem arrived. In his wheelchair, looking like he'd already had a beer before he'd even come in. He wanted to go inside but got stuck in a crack between the terrace and the present. Two guys helped him, but he said, "Never mind, I feel at home on doorsteps." Inside, it got warmer. Friendliness behind the bar. Cold pints. Bitterballen that crunched like moral choices. My wife came back and whispered, "This pub has something." I nodded. She probably meant the lighting. Or Jochem. A place for people who still need to process something – or forget something. Ambience: brown, crowded. Chairs: wobbly. But hey, that's life.

Nice terrace on a weekday evening. It doesn't matter to the staff, they are always nice and helpful! Definitely a place to have a drink with friends or a partner.

Great cafe, the room was rented out so I didn't go there. It's a pity that the music/sounds/karaoke from the hall can be heard in the cafe through the speakers and the door. That can certainly be positive, but in this case I didn't find it.

It's always fun here. Everyone is welcome and the atmosphere is friendly. If you come alone, you are entitled to it. Friday with the "mayor's burger" is highly recommended. If you come on a different day, there will probably be something else to do, otherwise you can just play a game for entertainment. Drinking a beer and chatting away is an art form here. I love it. José, Dave and their team are great!

It always looked cozy from the road, but here they really know what hospitality means. Delicious Weissen beer on tap and superior nachos. We are fans!

Enjoy sitting outside in the sun in a beautiful spot on the terrace. Service was fine! José has done a good job :)

Do not go here unless you know the people that comes here every week. This is a bar in a village where only the same people come by every week. So if you’re an outsider then they will let you know in a bad way. Go somewhere else.

The place is veey cozy. It's simply very beautiful. I love the music there and the ambience. I don't actually remember the name of the bartender. It was a woman. She was very friendly and welcoming. It was our first time in walwijk. I would highly recommend everyone visiting walwijk to come here.

Great café where you can drink quietly while enjoying 80s and 90s music. Unfortunately it will be closed at the end of this month, after which there will be a café for drinks, so we'll have to wait and see.

Nice café, but unfortunately a bit outdated! Place cocktails on the menu and renovate the bar and you have a beautiful location
