Café de Griete in Buitengebied Zaamslag

Very hospitable, a warm welcome. We had a spontaneous snack with our wine, the bruschetta is highly recommended, and the limoncello is delicious.

Visited last night... Nice "old school" cafe, delicious bruschetta, several kinds of very tasty pinsas... If I had to make one comment... The Diavola could be a lot spicier, otherwise offer a choice by putting 1, 2, or 3 different peppers on the menu... Or just call it "Salami"... Maybe put 1 or 2 types of pasta with... on the menu, not everyone likes lasagna... We will definitely be back and hopefully have more delicious Diavolo pinsas and pastas. Very friendly hostess, excellent service.

We had a wonderful meal at the tasting night! Our favorites were the risotto, lasagna, and tira misu! Definitely worth repeating!

Bij paviljoen Beet een Dame blanche besteld, de kwaliteit van het ijs was beneden de maat. Weinig smaak. De chocoladesaus was uit een fles, proefde artificieel en zeer zoet.

Cozy terrace and café if you are in the area.

Beautiful location, delicious iced coffee and Sangria and very friendly service. It was no problem to get some extra ice cubes or to change tables. And the service came by a few times to ask if everything was to your liking, but not too pushy. So everything was definitely to your liking. Especially in the summer I would definitely recommend it!

De borrelhapjes waren slecht, te lang gefrituurd, wel vriendelijk personeel en mooi kader, aangenaam om te zitten maar Schelde onzichtbaar door de hoge dijk. Wel een mooiere brasserie Beet aan de andere kant van de dijk.

We have been coming to De Griete for years, but today was the last time for us. Waiting 20 minutes for something to drink. The one waitress (who had been serving there for years) stood right behind us making small talk from the moment we took our seat. The second waitress thought it was more important to serve people who had already been served several times before. I don't feel like wasting any more time in this tent anymore.

Nice location for a company party, baby shower or something similar. Lots of choice of tasty beers. There are also good options for the inner person, such as the friends shelf. They can also have a good party with spring-autumn parties or live music. In short, a nice location to go to

Wij zijn hier naar de herfstfeesten geweest . 12 eur inkom ! Er speelde een leuk bandje maar het aanwezige publiek had totaal geen interesse in de muziek . Verder werd er enkel Heineken 🤮 getapt in minuscule bekers tegen de woekerprijs van 3 eur ! Die café baas heeft poen geschept ! Dure inkomprijzen en drank !

A fantastic experience. Never had such delicious fries. Stew very tasty. Service very friendly. It is a pity that the municipality of Terneuzen has decided in all its wisdom that this establishment must close in winter. Missed opportunity !!!!

Great place to relax after a long bike ride.

This afternoon we thought we would have lunch at De Griete. We were told that that was not possible, we had to go to Beet to get apple pie or a waffle. Ordered a waffle and asked again if lunch was never possible again because the menu clearly contained lunch dishes. The answer now is that the stock has not arrived yet. We get our waffle and toasted sandwiches are placed on the table next to us. In the meantime, other people had also been sent away to Beet because food was not possible. Then a few minutes later, croquette and frikandel sandwiches are placed on the table. When we spoke to the staff, a sandwich was suddenly possible. What a strange hassle, my previous experiences were great there, but next time we will look for something different.

Looked like a super nice place. We ordered something to eat and drink. Not cheap, it really took half an hour and was not at all what we were told. The music was butcher music, not really our genre. But the service was very friendly 🍀 Nice place to have a drink with friends. But we won't be having a relaxing lunch here anymore.

Went to Beet today, ordered an ice coffee on the terrace, just like we do every time at the Griete, glass was halved outside last year, no ice cream scoop in it....thought it was poor considering the price, paid very expensively Too bad we thought it was the best ice coffee in Terneuzen, it's really disappointing now

Warm summer evening. Cruise around the area a bit and then have a drink in the Griete. A friends board included. Wonderful evening. Such lovely people who work there too. Top. Since today they also have a (summer) pavilion. We will definitely go there next time!!
