Café de Zotte in Wijk 02 Zeist-Noord

One Sunday around 1 p.m., I went to have coffee on the terrace of this café. When I entered, the first thing I noticed was the unpleasant smell of suction and alcohol. The bar was very dark and very dirty. I ordered coffee and quickly noticed the coffee machine. The machine was very, very dirty and very old; naturally, the coffee was terrible. I went out onto the terrace with my coffee. The terrace was large and spacious, but very, very dirty. Before sitting down, I wiped my seat with a tissue. I enjoyed the peace and quiet (there weren't many people around), but I didn't drink the coffee; it tasted unbearable. I will never go back to this bar.

The lounge has a cozy layout and there are many plants. It gives a nice 'beach vibe' if that's what you're looking for. Huge range of teas (even chamomile tea exists) and you also get a beautiful 'wise' life quote. Can easily be placed on a tile. Music makes you proud of the country where you live. Minus point: a lot of smokers. Pros: cozy neighborhood atmosphere and staff is very friendly :)

Looks nice, but the Dutch music is way too loud. There is a smoking area that is open, so everything stinks of smoke. There's a dog running around that's really getting in the way. Nice pub for local residents. That's it, not anymore.
