It's a beautiful location, the service is friendly and helpful with any adjustments that need to be made, and the food is excellent. It's a great starting point for a fun activity. A beautiful garden and lovely terrace. We will definitely return to this wonderful location. A nice bonus is that your four-legged friend (dog) is also welcome.

We had a wonderful meal; the building has been beautifully restored, but it's still sorely lacking in atmosphere. The wood paneling and more dust would do wonders. A glass broke twice, but it was quickly resolved. The food is truly delicious and beautifully presented!

What a beautiful place, wonderful to relax both inside and out. The food is, in a word, excellent. The pork tenderloin is our favorite. My husband is thrilled with the polenta on the menu. And every time, we finish with the most delicious dessert, the Eton Mess. We can't get enough of it.

Good quality food, friendly service, but if you order a main course, you get no vegetables or salad with the Angus burger and a mini portion of curly fries. If you want something extra, you can order it, which is a shame. The clothes on a plate, only a hamburger bun with a mini portion of curly fries, just misses something, especially for that price.

We ate at Den Eikenboom in Loenen for the first time. We've been following the building's renovations for a few years now, and the result is fantastic. It's been restored to its former glory. We celebrated our 60th diamond wedding anniversary in the afternoon with a high tea buffet! Our party consisted of 27 people, who were very surprised by the venue! The dining area was perfectly prepared for us, with lovely decorations and beautifully set tables! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they performed their duties perfectly. We had a wonderful meal outside on the terrace, which is ideal if you're a bit off the busy road. The food is excellent, with plenty of choices, beautifully presented plates, and the staff is very friendly. It's a bit of a shame, though, that fries and salad aren't standard with a main course; you have to order them separately.

What a gem in Loenen! We had a wonderful dinner with a group of 16 people and everything was taken care of down to the last detail. The restaurant offers a delicious Den Eikenboom three-course menu, with a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian. Each dish was prepared with care and tasted fantastic. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and stylish - perfect for a cozy get-together or a festive dinner. The service was professional, exceptionally friendly and very attentive. In short: an absolute must! Top quality on all fronts. We will definitely be back!

We had dinner at Den Eikenboom to end our holiday in Loenen. It was well worth it. The food was good and the service very friendly. The atmosphere is very pleasant. We had a table in the conservatory. A beautiful, light and atmospheric place. The other rooms and the terrace are also nice to be. If you are in the area, it is worth the detour.

On June 2nd we had lunch on the terrace of 'den Eikenboom', it is close to the highways and we deviated from the bike route to have a bite to eat. The dishes were very tasty, super fresh and home made. Friendly and professional service. Recommended!

Terribly expensive. Pork tenderloin tips with a few mushrooms and 5 beans €24.50. The main price without anything else. But then also not even quality, tough, lukewarm and very bland. No, this restaurant looks nice from the outside but very unprofessional and not restaurant worthy quality. Also an Uitsmijter looks messy. 2 yolks whole and 1 through, black edges (burned) on not tasty bread. There is still a lot to invest here.

Then we stayed for dinner. Nothing to complain about here either. Everything tasted delicious, looked good and despite the crowds the staff still took the time for you. And all that in a fantastically beautiful building that you must have seen. A big 10 for everyone!

Since the opening, I have enjoyed a delicious dinner twice at this beautiful company, what a pearl in Loenen! Tastefully decorated and very friendly and attentive service!

Beautiful historic building in Loenen. Food was fine, service could still learn something. I came from the toilet and asked for the bill from the lady who had served us and was cleaning the bar at the time. She very kindly replied yes, I will be there shortly. Unfortunately that 'like' took a bit longer because she first served another table (next to us), then provided another table with the bill and then cleared that table as well. That's all very well, but not if you promised to bring the bill 'just like that'. Finally I walked to the bar and paid the bill. She also asked which table we had been sitting at... even though she had served us herself and the place was not packed, but only about 5/6 tables were occupied. For the rest... food and ambiance are fine.

What a beautifully restored building. Brought back in old style. A building with history that we were proud to be informed about. We both ate a 3-course menu together with the best beer 'Gulpener'. All 3 courses were seriously tasty and looked well presented. The price is well proportioned. This restaurant stands out from the others in the area. We will definitely come back.

We booked a night in Den Eikenboom because of our eldest son's party. Beautifully restored, attractive space inside and outside to enjoy the sun. Den Eikenboom has opted for a style and interior of 'simplicity in class': the restaurant downstairs and the rooms upstairs are beautifully finished, lots of natural colors and materials, not excessive and therefore extremely relaxing. Our room was spacious, simply but well furnished and thanks to the double windows, air conditioning and good curtains we slept like a baby, even with the window open.

On April 6 we celebrated a 90th birthday at this location. We opted for a high tea and that turned out to be a great idea. It is a beautiful building, we had access to a separate room, good and friendly reception, excellent quality and quantity of what was put on the table. And last but not least, a friendly, helpful and cooperative team (also in advance) with an excellent host during the afternoon itself. In short: nothing but praise. If you want to celebrate a birthday, you've come to the right place; recommended!

The daily special was a nice surprise and the menu offers sufficient choice. The location is also beautiful, especially if you visit the Veluwe and then look for a place to have a nice meal. In short, a nice place for a relaxing dinner. We would love to come back again!

Review of Den Eikenboom In March 2025, the three of us went to Den Eikenboom for dinner on a weekday Thursday. The building has recently been completely renovated and/or restored to its original state, which adds to the charm of the location. The garden is still under construction, but will undoubtedly look beautiful in the summer. The restaurant is spacious and offers the option of dining on the terrace. In the near future there will also be an option for fine dining and there is also the option to stay overnight. As for the food, I chose the beef tartare as a starter and the dish of the day: fish & chips as a main course. I also had a special beer. The food was tasty and the value for money was very good. The service was smooth and helpful and the ambiance was great. All in all a positive experience and definitely a place to come back to. Final verdict: 4.5/5 and definitely worth a sequel.

There was plenty of room according to the reservation system. After half an hour I received a call saying there was no room available. Nice system. the first impression is already strong even though we haven't even been there yet...

Very nice renovated hotel restaurant. No expense has been spared to restore this location to its former glory. That certainly worked, great! Service very friendly but still needs to find its way. The entourage could also use some decoration. On the other hand, we found the food disappointing. After having been twice, we won't be going back anytime soon, but will let it pass some time before going a third time. But we definitely plan to come back again.

Made a reservation and looked up the menu on the site, it looked good. On the evening itself we were told that the menu had changed two days before. Food was fine, but what was on the previous menu appealed to us more and we made the reservation based on that. We were also surprised by the extra charge for side dishes, which was all-in on the previous menu When choosing the desserts it turned out that there was no apple pie left, all in all a number of negatives

beautifully converted/renovated pine oak tree. but the whole thing is still without atmosphere and not finished with plants etc. no background music. We sat in the conservatory and had to speak very quietly so that not everyone could enjoy it. TO EAT. special roast beef. Roast beef perfect, only the fried eggs were a bit snotty, slippery. CHICKEN JAVA 2 pieces of chicken thigh with dried peanut sauce, some fries and a delicious crudité, but 18.50 Mwahh.. Not particularly impressed. (in terms of food), the building "den oak tree" is beautiful. Fred & Elly

What a wonderful atmosphere! Had dinner here tonight on Boxing Day. Could choose from the regular menu. And that's a good choice for everyone. Prices are fair, food was delicious. Service was great! As residents of Loen, we will definitely come back here soon. An asset to our beautiful village!

We live around the corner, and by coincidence we wondered this afternoon whether Den Eikenboom had already reopened, and guess what? Today was the first day that the cafe was open. We even had the scoop of being the very first guests to dine. We had a delicious meal in a nice atmosphere with friendly staff. As far as we are concerned, it is certainly an asset to Loenen and a place to return to. We are also very curious about the restaurant, which will open in early 2025!

After driving past this beautiful restoration project every week for a few years, we were finally able to go in today for a coffee and cake. what attention has been paid to the interior here. from the painting to the hinges and locks, from the Terrazzo floor in the conservatory to the bar, everything exudes attention to the interior. The staff is very friendly without being stiff and the prices on the day ticket are certainly reasonable. We will definitely come back here for lunch and dinner. I can't give a fifth star yet because we haven't eaten there yet, but that will certainly happen
