Café Heer Bommel in Centrum

You can enjoy a drink on the hill at De Bommel, but the snacks are expensive for what you get. Drink prices are negotiated on the hill, as are the serving sizes. The staff could/should be more attentive to the service.

We waited over an hour for our food, and you'd think it was worth it, but unfortunately, it was so awful that normally, I wouldn't find something disgusting. But the pulled chicken was hard and as dry as a desert, the bread was dry and simply inedible, and all that for €40.90. With great difficulty, we got an apology and free drinks, but no, never again for lunch.

A low mark for the atmosphere because there is a lot of smoking on the terrace. The food was delicious albeit spoiled by cigarette smoke. I don't understand why in 2023 the 80% of people who are bothered by 20% of smokers will not be taken into account. Question, does an indoor conservatory have to be a smoke-free workplace? I think the rules are clear and it is not allowed, see NVWA, because it causes nuisance inside.

A very ordinary sandwich, 2 slices of bread with a slice of ham and a slice of cheese in between, without garnish or the like. they dare to charge €6.35 for this. Once and never again. Absurd. Go shame yourself. 50% too expensive for what you get.

Cafe, Terrace Heer Bommel Oss I have added an extra terrace, because we have a very nice terrace, partly covered (with heated cushions!) in the center of Oss. Extra fun on Saturday, lots of buzz in the city. Had a delicious latte macchiato and cappuccino. We will definitely come back again, because we are very pleased with the dishes on the menu. Mr Bommel, Oss, very worthwhile.

The beer was tasty, the food good and friendly service! Very satisfied!

We go here especially for the apple pie! Just as delicious as my mother baked it. In my opinion the tastiest in Oss! Downside: the toilets deserve a makeover! And the benches outside need a cleaning! Otherwise great!!

Excellent service! Cozy place. It's a shame that a vase is not a vase. Drinks are served here in glasses from the BierWinst brand (see the letters BW on the bottom of the glass). They look like a vase, but are actually a whistle. Not so neat.
