Good drinks and excellent music! Always something interesting to listen to. And if it gets too loud, you can always take a table outside, where you can still hear the live music.

Music and energy and drinks of the space are nice, but if you want to have it so everyone needs to buy a drink during live music either have a sign or say it when you first arrive to the bar. When you come up to them ten minutes later to a quiet, half empty spot in the bar and explain every single person must have a drink, it is only going to sound rude whether you want it to or not.

Such an amazing and alive place. Superb jazz on a Friday night, cool atmosphere, the busiest bartender ever, awesome service! 10/10.. I mean, 5 out of 5☆ 😄

Very nice and cozy place we loved it!

This place is a vibe. Does it smell of damp? Yes! Are reports of a creepy and aggressive owner concerning? Also yes, though I've been a few times now without seeing him. But it's open late and is a good place to meet some characters.

Nice for the music, but the toilets need cleaning and renovation. The manager is a bit intrusive and not very friendly. A shame.

What a find! Fantastic little bar that we happened across on the way home. There was a great atmosphere with a jazz group playing some incredible music. I have been in the Hague many times and have never found this place! The bar was quite busy but we were lucky to get a seat. Staff were excellent and good fun, with a great drink selection. Highly recommended and i will definitely be back when in The Hague again.

Cozy spot but never order anything else than a beer because they will give you a "whisky on the rocks" that's 3/4 of a serving & served on multiple default ice cubes that end up as a diluted whiskey rather than chilled. Barman was ok to five me a "discount" for not a full serving but still felt so disappointed like... whatever

The staff was perfect. The music was absolutely fantastic. But the restrooms, come on, man, they could be better after such a good experience. This was the most disappointing part of the experience.

The place is great. The bartenders are great and the musicians are very talented. However there is an insane mold issue. The right wall of the bar is full of mold. The men’s bathroom is black from the mold. It’s so toxic and the owners clearly dont care. This is not taken care of for years. BLACK FROM MOLD. IT COSTS 30€ TO GET PRODUCT TO CLEAN THIS. A shame honestly.

The best jazz bar in town — and honestly, probably one of the best in the entire Netherlands! The vibe here is unmatched. They regularly host young, incredibly talented musicians who play live jam sessions that feel spontaneous and full of life. Every night brings something different, and the music never disappoints. The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, and full of warmth — the kind of place where you can lose track of time. The service could be a bit more attentive, but it doesn’t take away from the overall magic of the place. Tip: go early on weekends if you want to grab a seat — it gets packed fast! 🎶✨

The review template here is all about service and food. Le Duc may offer food, I wouldn't know. What I know it offers is amazing jazz jam sessions on many nights of the week. We visited twice, normal weeknights, and both times from 11.00pm or earlier, to midnight or later some great jazz jams lit up the night before. Decent beer, good service, interesting decor and great music. Does it get better?

After all day in Rotterdam, I was walking to my hotel room in Hag from Central station and suddenly heared live music inside this bar. As it was something I was looking the whole vacations, I had to enter and drink a beer. Great blues music and blond bartender

It's a super cozy place, if you enjoy some good jazz and a warm bar I would recommend this. The girl that was at the bar was amazing, and helped us all with everything. The only thing I have to point out is that they could make the men's bathroom better, as it was dirty and smelly. Will definitely come back here !

Fantastic café with live jazz music every day. One of the bar men is probably the friendliest bar man I've met in The Hague. Definitely worth the visit. If you are ever in doubt of where to go, simply go here.

Great music with incredible musicians, "God Vibe"

The owner was very unpleasant. The bar was empty; we went in on a Saturday at 5:30 pm while the musicians were rehearsing. We ordered two beers, and there were three of us. Suddenly, just as we were starting to enjoy the music (which was wonderful) and the beer, he kicked us out because there were three of us and we were only drinking, even though we had paid a while ago and there was nobody else in the bar. A shameless crook! We had to leave with almost our beers still unfinished.

I went in with my aunt and younger sister just as they were arriving; the place was practically empty. We ordered two pints since my sister doesn't like beer, and two minutes after we paid, the waiter told us off, saying my sister couldn't stay unless she had a drink. We left immediately; it was embarrassing to be so rude in such an empty bar.

A very good jazz bar, just one rather funny negative point, the owner of the bar, living on the floor above, complains about the noise from her own bar, never seen that, except for the rest lovers of good jazz and good whiskey will be delighted.

Live Jazz Music on Thursday and the best Barkeeper in the world!

Overall the establishment is not bad, but the owners are horrible, disgruntled and angry. You always catch unpleasant looks and gossip. Not recommended if you don't want to spoil your dinner!

Eating not done. Atmosphere and service good. Toilet (men's) is a drama, I haven't seen it this gross in years.

We happened to walk by and heard music. We went in and it was quite nice. Live jazz music.

I have been there several times. It’s an amazing place for drinks only in the evening when the band is playing jazz. The bar is almost always full from 20:00 and has a nice vibe. The reviews below about an old owner are the truth so be careful! ;)

Owner very unfriendly however great music is played by underpaid and under appreciated musicians. The bar staff are usually great, especially Reggie! Expect watered down beer from the taps, Ed the owner is very tight. And no heating in the winter so you hope it is crowded. Just avoid the owner and you’ll be fine.

I would rather say otherwise, but unfortunately, our bartender at Cafe Le Duc, is not to be trusted. On a busy Friday night, he charged us for four whiskeys, when we only had two, and would not budge, insisting that is what we had consumed. We were rather tipsy (although I had only three glasses of wine the whole evening). However, I am very good at math, even under the influence, and could not believe his lack of faith in not correcting his own error. It's too bad, as I really want to like Le Duc as it is a classic Dutch brown cafe with a gorgeous Delft-tiled chimney and lots of charisma, and also a venue that supports local musicians. Jammer.

A cozy Dutch bar with live jazz/blues music. We stopped by for some drinks and live music on a Saturday evening. They have a decent selection of drinks, and although it was packed full the night we visited the service was good and the prices are ok too. The atmosphere is so warm and the bar itself is nicely decorated with paintings. It's a good option for quick drinks if you're in the neighborhood.

Beware of this place! My girlfriend and I decided to check out this bar on a Saturday night, attracted by the promise of live jazz music. Little did we know that our evening would turn into a nightmare. I ordered a beer, and as we were enjoying our conversation, an overweight, intoxicated man, who turned out to be the owner, rudely interrupted us. He insisted we order more drinks, even though my beer was still half full, and he had the audacity to lecture us about how a bar isn't a 'playground' for conversation. To make matters worse, this so-called owner suddenly pretended not to understand our Dutch, which felt unwelcoming and xenophobic. It's appalling to see that recent reviews recount similar dreadful experiences with this owner. It's clear that this bar is struggling financially, but disrespecting customers is not the way to salvage it. Despite this horrendous encounter, the live jazz bad was good. I urge anyone considering coming here to think twice and beware of the terrible treatment you might endure by the owner.

Lovely little jazz bar with live music on a Wednesday evening. Drinks a bit on the pricey side (and no prices posted in menu), but good music.

It’s really nice to come here for live music, the bartenders are very friendly, however the owner doesn’t make you feel so welcomed here. Also, the drinks are quite overpriced.

Très bon moment passé dans ce bar où nous avons assisté à une jam session lors de notre passage à La Haye. Décoration authentique et ambiance agréable. Nous avons demandé conseil à un des barmans pour continuer la soirée après la fermeture du bar et nous avons été très agréablement surpris par l'amabilité avec laquelle nous avons reçu des recommandations. Nous avons passé une excellente soirée et on y retournera très certainement si l'on revient à La Haye.

Coole Bar mit Livemusik. Noch nie so einen tollen, freundlichen, mega schnellen Barkeeper erlebt, der einfach mal eine Bar mit über 100 Gästen alleine schmeißt.

Mooi café, maar de Kompaan Weizen zat in een generiek Kompaan-vaasje, was niet koud, en had geen frisse smaak (diacetyl?). Voor 5.50 euro per glas verwacht ik iets heel goeds.

We fietsten langs en hoorden jazzy muziek klinken. Geweldig leuke sfeer en lekkere muziek (iedere avond tussen 21 en 24 uur) :)

Leuk café en vriendelijk barpersoneel. De eigenaar(s) is echter uiterst onvriendelijk wat de totaalbeleving negatief beïnvloedt. Ze zitten dan chagrijnig te wezen en commentaar te leveren op het personeel, maar is onbegrijpelijk genoeg dan wel elke dag aanwezig helaas.
