A nice, old-fashioned, no-nonsense pub. The owners are great, and to my surprise, I ran into my high school classmate here, which was really nice. You feel at home and welcome here.

What Dylana and Zoë claim is completely wrong in my opinion. These are examples of people who create unnecessary drama and then try to portray a well-functioning and pleasant establishment in a bad light. I've been coming here for a while, and it's always pleasant here. The atmosphere is friendly and the people who work there are all friendly and helpful. The staff just does their job and adheres to the rules, as they should. I quite believe that someone confronted them because they were standing outside with a glass of alcohol. But let's be honest: do you see a terrace there? No, right? Then it is legally not allowed to go outside with a glass. If this is pointed out to you, you simply go back inside. That's not an attack, that's enforcement of rules. There's no need to be dramatic about that. The fact that an attempt was made to talk it out afterwards and a negative review still followed says more about their attitude than about the café. And if you then complain that you don't get any more drinks after you've already smartened up and tested your limits - then yes, you shouldn't be surprised if you're confronted about your behavior. That's not "triumphant behavior" from the staff, that's just being consistent. In short: Café Peanuts is a nice, accessible pub where you are treated with respect - if you also behave respectfully. If you don't want to follow the rules or have difficulty with authority, then it may indeed be better that you don't come back.

What Dylana and Zoë claim is absolutely incorrect. It seems that they spread incorrect information and unfairly criticize a successful and pleasant establishment. The atmosphere here is always pleasant and the staff is friendly and helpful. I can imagine that someone was confronted for consuming alcohol outside, but that is also understandable. There is no terrace, so it is not legally allowed to drink there. In such a case, it is logical that you will be asked to go back inside. Lingering under the guise of "I'll just finish my cigarette" is not appropriate. Rules are there for a reason, and if you don't follow them, you have to accept the consequences. Listening to the staff is the least you can do.

My friends and I come to Peanuts often and just like tonight we thought we would come and have a drink. When we stepped inside, we realized that a birthday was being celebrated. Nothing was said about this and it was also not indicated that it was a private party. We were there with a number of people and so we also ordered drinks and paid immediately since we had no connections with the birthday party and did not want to put this on a receipt, nothing to worry about. A friend and I went outside to smoke, with our glass in our hands (normally that's not a problem). A lady, read: the co-owner, came to us when we were almost finished with cigarettes and so we were already getting ready to go inside. She indicated to us in a not so friendly way that we were not allowed to take our glass outside. We indicated that we did not know that, but would go in anyway. The lady immediately indicated to us that she would refuse entrance, without us having caused any problems. So the lady immediately walked to the security guard and indicated that we still had to pay for our drinks. The security guard asked what was going on and we explained the story. He apologized several times and wished us a lot of fun. The lady also said 'this is a misunderstanding, it's because of the crowds. Everything resolved. At least, that's what we thought. This lady immediately walked to the bartender, said something to her and kept looking at us. Our male friends wanted to order something to drink afterwards, also for us (the ladies). The owner informed our friend (who had now heard of the situation outside) that we ladies were no longer allowed to drink because we were smart outside. Our friend indicated that he did not want anything more in terms of drinks and we therefore walked outside together. As we walked outside, the co-owner with whom we had a 'conflict' earlier walked triumphantly waving. We indicated that we found this rude. She responded with some surprise. We won't come here again, despite the nice evenings we had here before.

We used to come here often and just wanted to have a drink together. Upon entering, it turned out there was a private birthday party going on (without any notice). We ordered drinks, paid immediately, and otherwise just kept our distance. When we smoked a cigarette outside with our glasses in hand (something that had never been a problem before), the owner's wife approached us in a particularly unfriendly manner. We told them we didn't know (the exact words were, "Oh, sorry, we didn't know that, but come in now and I'll take it with me"). I was about to put out my cigarette; it was almost gone. But the owner's wife persisted. She said we weren't allowed outside with our drinks and immediately started threatening, "I can even ban you now, and then you won't be allowed back in." She told them my cigarette was almost gone, that I would go inside, finish my drink, and then go home. The owner's wife responded with an unfriendly tone, "I'll keep an eye on you." We politely walked inside with our drinks. The owner's wife called the security guard and told him we hadn't paid?!?! Strange, because outside they were talking about a drink, and inside they said we hadn't paid. We then explained that we had paid for the drinks. The security guard and I walked over to the owner's wife and told him they had been paid. The security guard apologized several times. The owner's wife also apologized and said it was a misunderstanding and that it was due to the crowd. It happens, people do. We thought everything had been discussed and resolved… (That security guard is a really sweet man, by the way!) But while we were just trying to get back to our evening, this woman kept staring at us, walked over to the bartender, and her husband (the owner) whispered something to them while she stared. It felt like she was trying to get a reaction from us. Truly bizarre and unprofessional behavior. When our male friends tried to order drinks, they were told that we ladies weren't allowed to order anymore, but the men were, because we'd been "smart." Seriously? We were speechless. We'd never experienced this kind of childish and hostile behavior in a restaurant before. We left immediately. Despite previous enjoyable evenings, we'll never come back here. The way they treat paying guests is absolutely scandalous. I'd be mortified if I were them!!!!

A truly awful pub. You're constantly being involuntarily posted on social media. Furthermore, the owners constantly pick fights with pub patrons for no reason, after which they're denied drinks. A very strange situation and a grim pub.

Wij kwamen hier vaker en wilden gewoon weer gezellig een drankje doen. Bij binnenkomst bleek er ineens een besloten verjaardag te zijn ( zonder dat dit ergens aangegeven stond). We bestelden drankjes, betaalden direct en hielden ons verder gewoon afzijdig. Toen we buiten een sigaretje rookten met ons glas in de hand (iets wat eerder nooit een probleem was), kwam de vrouw van de eigenaar op een bijzonder onvriendelijke manier naar ons toe. Wij gaven aan dat we dit niet wisten, (exacte Woorden waren “oh sorry dat wisten we niet maar ga zo naar binnen dan neem ik hem mee’) ik wilde me sigaret al uitmaken deze was al bijna op. Maar de vrouw van de eigenaar bleef doorgaan Ze zei dat we met het glas niet naar buiten mochten en begon direct te dreigen met “ ik kan jullie ook nu ontzegging geven en dan komen jullie hier niet meer binnen”. Gaf aan dat me sigaret bijna op was ik naar binnen zou gaan me drinken op zou drinken en daarna naar huis zouden gaan. De vrouw van de eigenaar reageerde daar met een onvriendelijke toon op “ik hou jullie in de gaten” Wij liepen netjes naar binnen met ons glas, de vrouw van de eigenaar haalde de beveiliger erbij en gaf bij de beveiliger aan dat we niet hadden betaald?!?! Raar want buiten ging het over een glas en binnen wordt er gezegd dat we niet hadden betaald. Waarop wij aangaven dat we de drankjes gewoon netjes hadden betaald. De Beveiliger en ik zelf liepen naar de vrouw van de eigenaar en gaven aan dat ze betaald waren. De beveiliger bood meerdere malen excuses aan , ook de vrouw van de eigenaar bood dr excuses aan gaf aan dat het miss verstand was en dat het door de drukte kwam. Kan gebeuren zijn allemaal mensen. Alles was uitgepraat en opgelost dachten we… (overigens echt een lieve man die beveiliger!) Maar terwijl wij gewoon weer verder wilden gaan met de avond, bleef deze vrouw ons aankijken, liep naar de barvrouw en haar man (de eigenaar) fluisterde iets tegen hun terwijl ze bleef staren, het voelde alsof ze uit was op een reactie van ons. Echt bizar en onprofessioneel gedrag. Toen onze mannelijke vrienden wat drankjes wilde bestellen, kregen ze te horen dat wij dames geen drankjes meer mochten bestellen maar de mannen wel. omdat we ‘bijdehand’ waren geweest. Serieus? We stonden met open mond. Dit soort kinderachtig en vijandig gedrag hebben we nog nooit meegemaakt in een horecazaak. We zijn direct vertrokken. Ondanks eerdere leuke avonden komen wij hier nooit meer terug. De manier waarop hier met betalende gasten wordt omgegaan is ronduit schandalig. Zou me kapot schamen als ik hun was!!!!

Minus five stars. Antisocial establishment that blows loud noise into the residential area through the open back, in the middle of the night. In other words, local residents can leave. And this is not just once, but has been happening regularly for years, and it is not without reason that they are in the crosshairs of the DCMR. You can make it as cozy as you want, understandable. But stick to the rules, environmental permits, in short, avoid noise pollution. You should run a disco on a remote industrial estate or in a closed, fully sound-insulated building. And not in a residential area where dozens of local residents and families want to rest on time. And we are entitled to that. You must always take local residents into account if the municipality allows you to operate your business in the middle of a residential area. Because the fact that there is a permit for it is already special. Turn it down a bit, keep the back door CLOSE and especially after midnight, how difficult can that be? Been asked before.

Top cafe, lovely people and cozy. I play karaoke there and it's great. Just come if there is a party or karaoke. Don't forget

Een gewone dorpskroeg. Flesjes bier en niets te eten maar eten heeft de buurman en het is geen probleem als je met iets te eten binnen komt. Gezellig.... dat wel
